I can’t think of another kayak that offers that.

Great walk through! I sold my last kayak, Wilderness systems, just wasn’t stable enough and having to make too many mods to serve my needs. This seems to have what I want. If I get back into kayaking, this is what I’ll get.

Nice video. I am picking up the new Unlimited soon and that chair looks much better than the seat it comes with. Do you know if they still make it?

Great review. I am just about ready to purchase the frontier 12. The one concern I have is quite a few owners have had issues with how thin the hull is. Problems with flexing and warping. Just wondering if you have encountered any of these problems.

Glad you enjoyed the review. I have a first generation Frontier 12 and there were issues with flexing on the deck where I stood. The problem was resolved once NuCanoe sent me a couple of foam braces to put inside the hull. I am not aware of any issues with the new Frontiers.

Huh, I'm really interested in this kayak model. I didn't think of installing a full sit up type seat with the pedestal. Doesn't look like it affects your stability. How do you like it?

I love it, but I only use it in calmer water conditions. I wouldn’t use it in current or rough water.

awsome review after researching between bow and stern in going with the stern mount i like to keep it all simple one question how do you have your set up to retrack motor and any opinion on the esp qc mount system?

What size battery do you run and how much run time do you get out of it? Getting a nucanoe and outfitting it with a 50lb minnkota. Just not sure on what battery size to go.

One last question, how do you like the trolling motor in the back vs the bow? Im so used to my small bass boat and having it on the bow.

    • @AnglingUploaded

It’s not exactly ideal for wind and current as the bow will slide left and right, but a bow mounted trolling motor won’t operate in very shallow water. With a transom mounted trolling motor, I can tilt up and run in the shallows of the upper Mississippi River.
