- This is a virtual driving tour around Chandler Arizona. This is a video for people thinking of moving to Chandler AZ. Chandler is a suburb of Phoenix located in the southeast Valley near Tempe, Gilbert and Mesa. In this driving tour I go through downtown, order a Chorizo burrito from Filibertos Mexican restaurant, check out Chandler Fashion Center mall before the stores open and also explore the Ostrich Festival. The Ostrich Festival footage is at the end of the video.
Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. What I loved most about Arizona was the sun was,and weather,always nice. Thought Arizona should’ve been nicknamed land of enchantment.

Looks like a resort. Beautiful. I love the older section. Roads are so smooth. Those are some interesting light poles. Reminds me of Rancho Mirage back in the 80s. Love the landscaping.

Wow I was stationed at Williams airbase in chandler in 1981 to 1985 it used to be mostly desert. It’s so over grown.

That nursery is cool!!!
I built my first house near Arizona Ave & Elliott in 1980. Elliott was a dirt road at the time and there were no nearby gas stations or grocery stores. Hot air balloons launched in Gilbert, drifted west and landed in the open land across from my house.
I lived there in 1972,Chandler High,worked at Williams Air force base,Then into the USMC,I do not recognize much on this video, 50 years flew on by.
Wow! What a beautiful mall! I miss malls with surface parking. Most all the malls in LA now have stacked parking garages 😑 in earthquake country! What are they thinking.
The Phoenix are also has a number of popular outdoor (malls) that are surprisingly popular, even during the summer months.

I own a home there in Chandler, although I am currently working outside the country, I cannot wait to return. My children still live there as well. I love Chandler, Arizona. Best town, location, and growing/upgrading every year. I am a military retiree and choose to move to Chandler vice return to Western PA, which I also love, but it just isn’t Arizona. Thanks for the video!

We have a lot of the same kind of Mexican restaurants out here in Utah we got one called rancheritos they're basically a break off but a different company still same kind of food though, from Beto"s those chorizo burritos are delicious and they're huge

I heard there’s a plant that makes engines. Large engines that hummmm. Not sure what neighborhood in Chandler. Just like sun city with flyovers every 15 minutes. Annoying.

Is it good Mexican food, like California? Or not so bueno. I went to a Mexican restaurant in Wisconsin and their beef was literally ground beef, and they didn't know what carne asada was. This Cali girl needs good Mexican food where she moves to 🤣🤣
