I was listening to NPR's Morning Edition on my way to work and instantly recognized this when it started playing in the background! I was so excited like "Hey it's that song from the resort before Scattered and Lost" (sorry I don't know all their names lol). Always a treat to hear Lena's music and it was a surprise to be sure! I've been getting a healthy dose of Celeste again since Farewell was released and it exceeded my expectations in both gameplay and music.
Sammed Pandharkar this level was difficult for me but the music made it bearable, especially with the theme of cleaning up the place. It felt like a chore I've been needing to do for a long time.
It’s tracks like these that got you guys nominated for Best Soundtrack at the 2018 Game Awards. I’d love to get this sometime; it’s a blast to watch others play, and tells a fabulous story.
That's one of my favorite things of the entire soundtrack. Every song has that build-up, and it's so well paired with the gameplay. It made my encounter with Badeline that much more impactful, made me tear up over Madeline's anxiety, and get pumped near the end of a level. I love it.
Oshiro is the classic "please pity me" significant other. In their desperation for a relationship, they try to exploit the sympathy others have for them by feigning helplessness. Oshiro could have easily cleaned up his own mess, but he was too busy trying to impress Madeline to appreciate everything she had done for him. In the end, after he lashes out at Madeline, he finally realizes how toxic he is. The hotel represents Oshiro's social life: prior to meeting Madeline, his only concern was getting people to stay with him. It's only after he lashes out at Madeline that he realizes just how fucked up he is. With that, he "closes the hotel for repairs", signaling that he's going to try and clean up his own life before he tries to get involved with anyone else's.

One of my personal favorite tracks in the OST. I put down my controller and paused just to appreciate the soundtrack when 1:29 kicked in my first time playing.
Even though this chapter is when the game starts to get difficult, every time I get to it instead of starting to get furious and yelling etc I end up humming to that bassline. It's a simple and short loop, and yet its sooooo relaxing.
the very beginning of the track somehow captured the level mood perfectly well: up in the cold mountains, at night, with nobody and nothing around, all alone i sometimes relate it to "key" from the minecraft ost, since that song once played when i was in that same situation in the early days of minecraft
This was the first song that really caught me in the game, I liked the hollow sound in the beginning, it represented the dead nature of the hotel, but when that bassline came in at the first actual platforming section, it got my attention immediately and it kept me calm through being bashed by the fluffy bois
This ost is helping me push through my first ever week of finals. I'm not gonna be all sappy and metaphorical and stuff, but I'm just gonna say it's really nice how a motivational soundtrack is motivating outside of the origin.

Lena Raine, if you see this comment, first of all, amazing work with the music in this game, but my favorite one from the game is missing, in chapter 2 or 3,where you meet the pragmatic part of yourself (madeline), there is an area at the bottom, where you find the B side to the stage, that section has some really nice music, rythmic because of the blocks that "switch" on and off so you can get to the tape, I'd really like to know where to listen to that song!
