I'm a 21 year old male and I haven't cried in over four years. I was walking back from the gym; about half a mile from my house on a snowy night in South Dakota. This song was shuffled through one of my chill vibe playlists. I just let my mp3 player shuffle through the various playlists. This song came up and all of a sudden, I got hit with this heavy wave of loneliness; I started thinking about my sister that I haven't talked to in over a year, my cousin who almost raised me like a mother (whenever I went to see her), my mother, father, aunts and uncles, my best friend/roommate, and all my friends in my life that created some experience with me. Just everyone in my fortunate happy little life that I do not keep in touch with because I move a lot. I felt so alone, since the last two years. I have built this personality where I try to keep everyone out of my life as much as possible. including my friends in South Dakota. This song has no lyrics, so I just let the melody recreate my memories into a story in my mind. I felt like I crossed a binary, like I'm going to try to make an effort to cherish everyone in my life, while letting them know how important they are to me. Anyways...I hope you enjoy this song.

I met her after class, she was dragging her feet on the ground being childish as she always is. I approach her questioning why she does so... I approached her the next day after school, its as if she was acting like nothing happened, it put a hole in my heart. Before I knew it, when I walked her to class she always greeted me off with the word "buddy" or "pal"... like she wanted to wash away all of my feelings like they were never there....

Alright well, things have actually been going really well, I know this is months old but I find it fun and relieving to talk about this other people who actually care. I don't know if she has feelings for me too but she always makes me happy. Just the other day I walked with her home and it was the best 15 mins I've had in a while, I was making her laugh and the way she looked at me made me feel really warm. It's weird to say but sometimed just having her presence near me makes me feel happy, I never knew liking someone so much could have that affect, yesterday was her birthday and I ran into her in the hallway after school, we were near the stairs with one of friends and we were talking about fighting each other as a joke and her friend teased me and said I give her bad looks on the bus and my crush ran over to me and acted as if she was punching me, her friend ended up going home and as we were going up the stairs she mentiones the bad look thing on the bus again as a joke and she gentyl brought me close to the stair railing, I asked if she was going to push me off and she said maybe and we both laughed, for a good 5 seconds we made eye contact and I looked away trying not to blush. Her younger brother walked in and she had to go.
Well yeah thats about it, I know this doesnt mean she 100% has feelings for me but these things are enough to satisfy me. I'll update you guys next month

6 years have passed and this song continues to be one of the calmest and most nostalgic sounds I've heard in a while
I dedicated this song to a girl I liked for awhile. soon after that we starting dating and not that long later I found out she was cheating on me with like three other guys. We were dating for at least 6 months. This was our song and honestly this was my all time favorite but I couldn’t listen to this song the same way anymore. Whenever this song came on lowkey got a panic attack or something . So I literally deleted this song from my life and completely forgot about it . Can't believe this song's been up here for 6 years... it's been a track I return to anytime I need a quiet moment to myself. I think, as a whole, I've grown past the general "lo-fi" genre, but stuff like this, and lontalius, I don't think I'll get tired of those.

The first time i listened to this song, i was traveling and daydreaming about who and what i would be in 5 years. I now look back with melancholy and pain, knowing that i dont like who i became in those 5 years.
This is how I learned that daydreaming can only get you so far, taking action and having enough discipline to stick to the planned road to your dream or whatever role you played in such dream is what'll get you there eventually, and sometimes it'll give you something better.
