HAHAHAHAHAH.. it would be amazing to see neon cities and maybe after the sun dies that we had an artificial one and had flying cars that would just go on a straight path so they don't crash and they're so smart that they're self flying and never crash
I’m sure this comment will be lost with the other ones on here but I first listened to this song 8 years ago, life has gotten more interesting and difficult since I was just 12 but I like to think this song displays a journey in a particular way that only us as individuals can grasp and personalize for our own interpretation. Whatever your interpretation of this song is, just remember that you were able to find a this amazing song in your own lifetime
I actually think it matches the 2010s pretty well. This decade is at the crossheirs between the late 1990s and 2000s and the future of the 2020s/2030s.
The synths have this warmth that wraps around you, like memories from a perfect summer evening you can’t quite place but can still feel. It’s peaceful but also slightly bittersweet, as if it’s reminding you of something beautiful that's just out of reach. I’d probably sit back, close my eyes, and let it carry me through old memories and daydreams, feeling both relaxed and reflective. It’s like time slows down, and for a few minutes, you’re in this serene, timeless place.

This is one of those kinds of music that the majority of people who listen to it including myself will never get tired of listening to it or even come back to it.
This song feels like an old friend, who you rarely talk to since you both have your own lives and stuff to do, but it feels nice to catch up with eachother once in a while.
I had a spiritual awakening around the time I first heard this song. Life has been different since that moment. It always takes me back to the beginning of that era
First I head this song was around 2017 or 2018. By that time, I had moved and stayed in a city far from my hometown for about a year already. I had to leave my friends and family, had to learn the culture and their language, had to make new connections. I had managed, but I felt like I was still clinging on to my old life too tightly; it was hard for me to let go. Listening to this song that one late afternoon for the first time made me realize that it's good to feel nostlagic every once in a while, but I inevitably have to move forward. I'd like to think that this song really made me mature and it helped me process what I was feeling during that time. Hearing this song now always takes me back to that time, when I was on the precipice of the past and the future; a time that I was clinging so hard to, and a future of limitless potential
I really think the 90s nostalgia is more powerful because it’s the last era before the internet. The internet changed the world more than anything in previous human history. The 80s and early 90s were the golden era of the last century, and shit seems to be going downhill this century lol. I know the song came out in 2014 but everyone seems to agree it’s got an 80s-90s vibe
I can at the very least, hope that in some way, the styles of future decades will mirror their counterparts from a century before. In short, I hope the 2080's look like the 1980's.
@@bungscrung3337 Honestly, as much as I might wish for this, the world is taking a path that suggests it will be a far different place by the time gen z have reached retirement, let alone getting into their 70s 80s and 90s. For all we know, maybe fallout isn't that far from the truth. Only time will tell. And by then, I doubt youtube will even be a thing, and if it is, this video won't be there, it may have been re-uploaded, or lost to the sands of time. As for us? We will have forgotten that we ever made these comments or will forget about the song when we lose the playlist it was in and be reminded of it by some bar in some city of mirrors, and we will try to find it again, and maybe even see our old comments. That is not for us mere mortals to know, its not our place. What happens will happen, whether or not that's what we wanted from life.
Some day... We're all gonna miss being kids. edit: it has been a year since i posted this. 2021 has gone WAY crazy for me, and a ton of things happened which were good, and bad. the bad things were, i almost got evicted, my grandma died, some of my friends ditched me, but 2022 will get even better for me, and thank you ever so much for the support.
My video and editing professor showed me this song in a class back in 2017. He said this song gave him goosebumps and made him smile. He died in 2019 still very young and I can’t help but remember him everytime I listen to this. He was a bright creative mind.
For the longest time I had this song playing on my speaker every morning for several months after a really bad breakup. It gave me the strength I needed to get myself out of bed, get dressed and start the day. I had it timed so perfectly that by the end of the song I'd reach my bedroom door and be out the door to get my mail and head out for the day. The entire time while doing all that I'd reflect on my happiest moments, milestones in my youth and the things I had to look forward to. It's amazing how much music can save someone at their weakest point, I hope others who dealt with similar things get by. You matter too and life still goes on, don't let the good times end and keep on going.
Great words. We can’t let the negatives in this life bring us down. Life is so spontaneous and beautiful, always look forward to the unknown and next adventures, blessings 💙
The year is 3632, somewhere in space "The two moons are rising, good morning everyone. Welcome to your favorite galactic radio. You're listening to human music"
"An usual day in the outer ring for a delivery guy like me. At least the radio is still working here, thanks to the new technologie we discovered when finding the monolythe. Humanity became one of the most prolific race out there, after this event in 2995. Our new friends, the Wojuuns, seems to really like our culture, and we also really like their own. Ironically, Kitaj is the guy who made me discover this radio when I was a little boy. He is a Wojuun, and a damn curious one. On SpaceR, our galactic radio, they broadcast a lot of human music, and some Yzonn music aswell. Funny thing I discovered tons of good human music, thanks to a Wojuun. About the Yzonn, they originated extremely far away in the galaxy, near the conjuction of EZT.12-87. But still, their music is really similar to ours. We often say that music is maths in a way, and maths is present everywhere. Maybe music is one way of the universe to speak. Species with similar minds can then feel it in the same way. Music allows us to create bonds, in our hearts and beyond the stars. I will have the opportunity to meet the Yzonns soon, when the current cycle will end, in about 2 months in the human calendar. I'll have to record everything I listen on the radio because it will be the longest road I ever did and the radio waves can't reach this system. This is also the subject of my trip : I need to deliver to their system, a beacon that will help relaying the radio waves, so they can listen to it at the edge of the galaxy. I can't wait to see their reaction, when they will see that we already broadcast some of their creations, and that it's really loved around the stars. Human and Yzonn will surely collaborate more in the futur, like we did with the Wojuun. Until then, we still have a lot to do in our own systems, to prepare their arrival. "
this song is a culture. so many people have been touched by this sound. we all probably come here between 10pm - 3am. this song truly does bring everyone together and with us together we speak of reminiscing and nostalgia. this song and community is more than a work of art
I think it has to do with the fact that many of the songs like this are built around old synth instruments or files that were used in the late 70's throughout the 80's. This sort of music was extremely popular for commercials and such, and was sort of underground. I think it's nostalgic because people who were born after 1995 - 2006 had probably seen VHS tapes as a child with this sort of music on it. I am very certain that there was a VHS I borrowed from the library as a kid and it has this type of music on it.
@@DonWalkerProductions The closest thing to this song I have heard as a child is Pina Colada (Escape), and I was born in 2006 - yet still, this song makes me a bit nostalgic. I think it has to do mostly with the feel this song has. Its calming, fading in and out and has no clear structure or consistency yet has absolutely no surprises - which is exactly how childhood memories feel to everyone. To me its a train ride in Europe on rainy day, because I'm from Israel and until the pandemic we would visit Europe every summer.
100 million views 🤯 Can't even describe in words how crazy that is. When I uploaded this song almost 9 years ago I didn't anticipate the insane virality it's achieved but I'm happy to see that it's resonated (no pun intended) with so many people. Big shout out to the legend Randy aka HOME 🙌
Welcome to 2084. Fuck it’s so insane to me how literally everyone feels the same about the song. Music is so amazing I thank god we still have great music being made like this
It technically is. Well it could. If this was ever played on a radio frequency it would reach the farthest reaches of space. Science is literally what we all have searched for. Ironic? No.
there's something else this song gives off, not just nostalgia, sadness, or any of those other feelings. I feel like this song is its own feeling itself.
comfort, like falling into a freshly made bed on a comfy spring afternoon. the windows are open, the birds are singing, and there's a slight breeze coming through the window.
This song was made in 2014?? This is way a head of its time. It also reminds me of my best memories I’ve had in the past and very recent ones. This song feels like heaven!
This song is only 9yrs old and yet I swear to god its something from my childhood. Its so weird. It was also made by a 16yr old and yet it encapsulates the era with such totality that I cant really explain it. Its like he lived it.

Helen Paschke - It’s easier when they die because you have total closure, it’s the friends and family we lose touch with that are still alive that creates the most pain and confusion. One must separate resentment from reasoning and remember to not take alienation and negativity towards ourselves personally. When a loved one acts untoward it’s about them and what’s happening inside that has made them become this way. Give them time and space, let them heal, you heal, grow, become wiser, more resilient and when the time is right things will happen again. And always be the bigger person and make that contact should you feel the need to because if you wait to be contacted, you could be there for eternity.

This song feels like everything I’ve experienced leading up to this moment in time. You see, when I was younger I always wanted to know what High School was like. In fact, I have brief memories of my younger self taking field trips to the High School in my school district. It’s weird to think because my perspective on High School has changed now that I am officially a high schooler. My high school life is nothing what I imagined it would have been back in the day. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s alright. This song makes me feel so many different emotions at once… I don’t know if I should feel happy or sad

The year is 3632, somewhere in space
"The two moons are rising, good morning everyone. Welcome to your favorite galactic radio. You're listening to human music"
Lol reminds me of Star Wars
Jajaj nice one
Damn. You can write a story about this. Not kidding.
"Jupiter is quite gassy today, beware when floating nearby it as unusual traffic has been reported by Asteroid#473"

Already 10 years ? That's crazy
Isn’t funny how one song holds many different memories from thousands of different people with different emotions.
@@DonWalkerProductions I forgot about VHS tapes, my grandmother has a shelf full of them.
Yes this song holds a lot of memories for me and I will always miss those days but oh well can’t do anything about it 😔
I have not listened to this song until about 2019 and I have never seen or heard a VHS, but this is still nostalgic, somehow.

Nostalgia is such a wonderful, beautiful, bitterly painful emotion. It's like wanting to embrace a long deceased loved one
