you been during the anime boom from 1998 - 2008, yeah myself I got my Anime collection is from Toonami to Adult Swim. really awesome US grow up in that Era can't repeat from that time in Toonami or to Adult Swim in 2003. like my friend said born as a anime fan and die as a anime fan. awesome collection

@@clemmonkaufmann1489 Better audio/video quality, for one -- the videos on streaming sites, whether legal or illegal, are compressed to save bandwidth, which leads to lost details and video flaws/artifacts. And if you've paid for Blu-Rays, you feel obligated to watch them to get "your money's worth." Plus, "a site" you go to might have the TV-broadcast version, while Blu-Rays will have the home video version, which can have decensored nudity/violence, corrected animation, and even additional scenes added.
As soon as i heard you say Cowboy Bebop was the greatest anime of all time I didnt hesitate to give a like and follow.

I haven't seen it yet im going to be watching it on Friday just ordered the steelbook of it. Love this collection. I just got into collecting anime 5 to 7 months ago probably have between 80 to 110 anime so far. I spend way to much on it been spending 500 to 1000 a month their goes my savings 😆 🤣 😂
Avatar generally isn't considered anime by the major anime database/listing sites, but that doesn't make it any less worthy of a place on your or anyone's shelves. Great collection, great stories. You're probably just slightly younger than I am, so I can relate to the era of limited Internet, rare TV airings, the "TV Guide" channel and newspaper listings, and randomly discovering stuff on VHS tapes.
Nice anime collection video even though my anime collection has grown about over 341 Anime DVDs 6 Anime on blu ray and 15 anime VHS tapes I see you got Wicked City my favorite 80s horror anime movie along with Demon City Shinjuku my experience on 80s horror anime movies has started since my anime review on Demon City Shinjuku

I hope that Evangelion gets a U.S Blu-Ray release soon (Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 coming out this year in Japan )

Dragon Ball is probably my favorite because as you said it wasn't the Goku and Vegeta show even Z was the Goku and Vegeta show they tried to hand the torch off to Gohan at the end of the Cell Saga but then quickly gave it back to Goku.
Yeah Gohan was supposed to be the guy but his character peaked and he went downhill from there.

Yo I'm more than likely late to this but if you haven't gotten Inuyasha and aren't aware they're rereleasing all of the original series on Blu-ray. Right now only the first set is up for Peo-order but if the quality if anything like the quality of the Bleach blu ray sets (both are licensed by the same company) I'd say it's worth the wait
as a yu yu hakusho fan i'm so glad I got the dvds..the blue rays are better to look at but wholy good god they changed some of the lines and red dubbed some scenes and it just sounds cringe..smdh its absolutely a joke
I had only 2 of the dvd's when I was in college but it's one of those series that I wouldn't mind having on dvd instead of blu ray.

Have you ever seen G Gundam mobile fighter, Inuyasha, Inuyasha the final arc, Naruto, and Naruto Shippuden? I'm a big fan of Gundam anime an could recommend you which ones are good if your up for it

It's a good Gundam series in my opinion idk if you'll like it or not but it's something different compared to your normal Gundam series if you ever give it a try let me know if you like it or not the cheapest rout would be to get the Anime legends collection 1 & 2

@@builtdifferent3745 Hunter X Hunter has better animation (of course cause of time) and a better although complex fighting system with Nen but Yu Yu is better in terms of story and characters. I'm into writing and the way Yu-Yu is written is very well done. I like Hunter X Hunter world building and fights but the characters were hard for me to connect to. Both are great classics.

My Evangelion DVD Volume 1 doesn't work (episodes 3 and 4 didn't work but episodes 1 and 2 do)

I use rightstuf and eBay a lot. Fye has a lot of titles but they're expensive. I'm about to start collecting Hunter X Hunter.

Not sure if my collection is that good so far I got alot of anime thats from the past 10 to 12 years but not allt of the older ones. Im just now buying cowboy bebop and space dandy just got the steelbook for bebop and limited edition for dandy.

low key original dragonball is better but the characters actually do way less in that series...think about it after the first arc with pilaf 13 episodes, what does anyone but goku do once their a good guy?...tenshin does something as a bad guy but as a good guy hes useless same for kururin..once they become good they become useless...but goku's growth and story is so engaging so you can enjoy it better cause he feels like a real character back then...anime is at its best when it has a central core character to build off of...

Size doesn't matter when it comes to an anime collection. What matters is quality and connection to said collection. Alot of nice sets here man. And I agree OG Dragon Ball is the best series in the DBZ franchise
