A trick I learned is to spray some hair spray in the shoe so that your foot stays in place and won’t go flying off or become slippery inside with sweat. This works great for open-toed shoes too so your feet don’t slide forward and make your toes hang out awkwardly. The only downside is that the sole of the shoe won’t look great after a few wears because of the residue but ain’t nobody looking in there anyway. I have a travel sized can of hair spray that fits in my purse so that I can reapply if needed lol
