These are beautiful! Thanks to your video I started making my own! Thank you! Only question I have is how long does diamond glaze hold up? Will these stay together well?
I love this I am making similar jewelry! Did you experience little air bubbles like almost when pushing the glass to the skins? I am using canvas and wondering should I try skins instead.
Wonderful video. Just curious, where and why is the blow torch used? And how much of your homemade pouring medium is used? Last question, what are the 2 different silicones used for?
Hello, nice work. Could you tell me what the Tray Depth is? I mean where the cabochon can be set. If the frame is thin you might see the union of the cabochon with the decoration which can be quite thick, that's not good.
Hi, do you ever get problems with silver spots?. I’m just starting to make jewellery and someone said to apply 2 coats of diamond glaze to the back of the skin before using E6000 to glue to pendant
I haven’t had an issue with silver spots but it has been a few years since I made these. I would give the diamond glaze suggestion a try! I hope that helps and thank you for watching
Hello, I’m just wondering, can I use resin to attach the skin paint to the glass cabachons instead of the diamond glaze? And can I put rein drop into the pendant tray then place on the top the (the skin attached to cabachons) instead of E6000. I’m not sure If the resin will make the glass cabachons look funny or blurry or will trap bubble between the skin and the glass cabachons. What do you think?
A few cabochons that I glued onto the bezel trays dried crooked can I take those off of the bezel trays and reglue them if so how would I go about doing this
is there a non-toxic, safer glue alternative for adhering pendant backs into place ? I have chemical sensitivities. I really want to try making these !!! TY
This is a great idea, I also make jewelry and I have already tried it and it works perfectly. Where can I get the silicone mat? Now I am using freezer paper, but it's hard to peal the skins off. Thanks again for all ideas and videos they are great...
Hi Barbara!! There is a link to buy a pack of two mats in the description of the video for under $10!!! Use one for baking, one for painting!! haha! Thanks for watching😀
I need to try this way. Another video shows putting glue into the tray, putting the cut skin in, then put glue on top of the skin and laying on the glass last. I'm getting blemishes under the glass, don't know if it's air or something else. Do you put any weight on them when drying?
I squeeze a little for a few seconds, then back off on the pressure. Make sure bubbles are popped beforehand. It can depend on the glue you are using too
Hi, great video. Just wondering as I've seen others seal the tray with a layer of glue or something, let dry and then glue the cabochon in. You've had no problems not coating the tray first? Thanks :)
Hi! Did you glue the skin to the cabochon somehow? just curious cuz I'm using Lilly's glaze, on top of the skin, in the tray, to glue down the cabochon and it is SO bubbly I've wasted and ruined multiple pieces...
I am using a diamond glaze glue, I did feature it in the video and the link is in the description of where you can find it. I have had pretty good luck with it. Try to not push too hard on it, I find that helps. Thank you for watching!!
Oh great, I just learn how to make my own cabochons from Lilly's Ds Crafts and now you show me this. My girlfriend is going to kill me if I start pestering her about getting the supplies to make these. Just kidding. Wonderful video and than you very much for posting it. I am subscribing right now.
All of these are from kits provided by Lily D's!! There's a coupon code for Lilys in the description as well! Thank you for watching and subscribing =)
Hi there, thank you so much for sharing this fantastic creative idea, it's very creative, but i'm stuck on what is (dirty-pour), also you are using silicone that is white, what type of silicone can this be, the only kind I've ever seen is always like a clear gel, yours is very white, i'd really appreciate it, if you'd reply back with the answers thanks a lot.
Hi, a dirty pour just means when all the colors are put into one cup. and the silicone is clear, I just add a few drops to my white fluid paint. I hope that helps.
@@DryerDaysArTsTuDiO Thanks for the quick reply, but what I meant was what is the white liquid your using, is it (Liquitex) pouring medium or actually an acrylic paint, I thought you were using the pouring medium & I just bought some, so is this what I use in the acrylic paint, if so, exactly how much of this liquid should I add.
But the moment I lay it on the glue, it just shows those weird bubbles. Do I just let it sit and see what happens? Thats just weird because you want to squeeze the extra glue out.
If there are bubbles in the glue before you even lay it on, use a toothpick or something similar to pop bubbles. also, don't shake the glue right before you are applying it- that causes more bubbles.
I am new at this. But would like to try it. Is a glass Dome and a cabochon the same thing? Not sure if I'm ordering correctly. Someone please help. Thank you in advance.
How much glue goes on the back before putting into pendant? Should it be put in the middle then worked out to the sides? Should the back be completely covered? Too much and it goes over the edges. Alcohol seems to clean it up pretty good but I would rather not have glue all over the place. Thanks.
I usually do a pea size or a bit larger drop and then move it around a bit with an orange stick. Then, pressing the glass to the pendant lightly, it moves the glue out more, obviously. I haven't had any seep out. In this situation, depending on the glue you are using, less is more.
HELP! I am making JEWELRY TOO and this weekend I'm doing my first, but very small, Valentines Day event. I have made several, very nice, pink and purple pendants but am having a problem making a red skin pour. They are coming out pink, or if on black...too dark. Can someone advise me?
I keep watching these videos and following all the directions but still get silver spots. Do you have this problem? Am I pressing too hard? I get them with the first step mostly.
I have run into this as well. I find I am either pressing too hard or its the product possibly as well. While these were fun to make, they aren't me "niche". I encourage you to find someone who does mostly jewelry like this to get more insight. Thank you for watching!
I use diamond glaze, LIly D's has a glue too. And then any strong adhesive craft glue will work. All the products I use, are listed in the description of the video, with links to buy

A question: instead of the glue you used, can I use Resin?
Beautiful 🤩
All of your pendants turned out beautiful!

Lovely pendants

just paint, most likely.

Did you add silicone to your pours? Thx! Beautiful work!
Yes I did =)
Beautiful work once again!
Beautiful, you don’t put resin on them?
Nope, those are glass cabochons glued right to the paint. No resin needed

What else can I use for the tan sheet that you have. Anything household?
You can use freezer paper, the shiny side. Not wax paper. I have peeled them off plastic too. I used baking mats if that's what you mean?
How do you keep from getting silver spots?
Did you have to clean silicone oil off before glue?
Yes I wipe it down with rubbing alcohol

You have Diamond Glaze in the list of things you used, but I didn't see where you used it. I saw the E6000, so do I need Diamond Glaze too?
I used the diamond glaze to glue the glass cabochon to the paint, to adhere the glass to the portion of paint I want in the necklace.
great video...
Very nice thank you.
Thanks, Sharon!
Great video, I intend trying this to make X as presents. Do you have to use a pouring medium I've Liquitex or Flotrol ? Xx
You can use whatever pouring medium you like. I just prefer mine to the professional one or just straight floetrol. It's just personal preference
Do you have to clean the silicone off of the skins before making the jewelry? Beautiful!
Yes I believe in this video I used rubbing alcohol to absorbs the silicone. Thank you for watching =)
what type off necklace is it !?
Can I get the clear pendants to put in the acrylic skins at Walmart?
i am not sure but you could check their website
How long does it take the skin to dry?
It depends on a few factors, one being how thick the paint skin is. I would give at least 4-7 days to dry
Thank you.
