My brother has the 1st edition, with a bunch of KS extras, like buildings and shit. We've played team games and two-player games, and we think it's fun.
Looking forward to it, might be my first kick starter. Thinking I'll get all five factions. on the PC I usually play Allied, but I might switch to the good guys for the board game.
You have an advantage in that this 2nd edition has more streamlined rules. Basically, all the 1st edition players playtested and helped refine the game. I have the 1st edition and I'm backing because they are offering "update" pledges that will allow me to upgrade my 1st edition to 2nd edition without having to buy everything again.

I’ve been interested in this game since I was first introduced to it by you when you posted your first video. Glad to finally get in! Went with the 4 player game and terrain pack 1. I really want terrain pack 2 but just can’t quite get there at the moment lol
@@GameBrigade I appreciate the input! I was able to swing one more expansion and I went with the mini pack bundle since it adds a little to all of the factions. Do you think that’s a good one to add or do you think elite commanders is the way to go? Or maybe even the terrain pack 3?? There’s too much to decide! I wish I could get it all haha
@@-RTC- of the 3 you picked I would go with Elite Commanders, then The mini pack pundle, then Terrain Pack 3. The elite commanders gives you the biggest tanks of WW2 and those are always the most fun to call in.

I want this so so bad. I have nobody that will enjoy playing this with me though and the solo doesn't quite look deep enough to put the money into it just for that. It pains me to let this one pass me by though.
The lead designer of the second edition is offering to show off the new system to anyone interested on discord using Tabletop Simulator (TTS) either directly on TTS or streaming it to discord for anyone. Just stop by on the discord and ask. It's changed quite a bit, I don't typically like Solo, but this new system is quite a bit changed. Obviously your choice :)
Netherlands here. Backed on day 3 for the core box. I'll be getting Terrain Pack 1 too. Still figuring out if I should order more than that, for instance "Solo / Co-op & Fog of War Expansion" and/or maybe the "Dice and Tray pack". Any tips/suggestions?
I have the coop box from the first set and haven't used it. Not to say they aren't good, but I generally like the human interaction more than AI. That said, they did make that box better with the fog of war. I would make sure I had lost brigade and any factions first.

So i backup for the kickstarter campaign , i order and pledge for the british full amry set and the germans full amry set and the veteran backers 2nd edition upgrade kit to , but i plan to hand paint and detail my COH amry units and thank you for you video info of the COH bored game I'm from canada 🇨🇦
What would you say how much gameplay variety there is in just the Core Box? I'm tempted to get 4 or even all 5 factions, but if I'm honest to myself that's probably overkill because this has to share the "slot" with multiple other 1v1 skirmishers. Is there enough variety with the missions and core box commanders?
So it's hard for me to give a great answer because they reworked ALL of the commanders from the core set. I usually paly the axis faction as was pretty happy with the variety of play with them overall. I think the lost brigade add on really enhances that as well. If you were just going to go 2 factions then I think the lost brigade could supplement that.

I thought I covered total war, I know I spoke about a lot when it was live. Total War didn't excite me as a recreation of the game and I did not back it
Do not buy this guys... it's just eye-candy... you are just gigantically mislead by the table presence which is absolutely fantastic. The game however is... 'MEH'. Just go take a look at the FAQ of the first version... . It is mindnumbing. And before you go big on me, yes, I have played this game and yes I do know they have published new rules, but no... do not waste your money on this if you intend to play this game. But if you are buying this because you want the miniatures for other purposes, then yes, go buy it.
What exactly you didn't like or what is mindnumbing? Can you be more specific? Rules ar clunky or the combact/manouvring system is not good? I see a lot of positive feedback also for the new rules but of course if there is something broken in the game better to know
How is "but no" an argument? How do you know that the massive rules changes and rebalancing of the 2nd Ed did not fix the (already overall liked, sometimes loved, but somewhat flawed) 1st Ed?

Terrain pack 1/3 look to be the ones I'd use the most. 2 is awesome, but it's so fricken big and not as useful overall.

How long does a 1vs1 and 2v2 game takes??
Usually 1.5-3.5ours depending on how experienced people are. The ruleset is quite complex and takes some learning.

The rules have completely been reworked. you should review the Rulebook.

@@Madgaar the publisher is willing to play with people to show them the new rules on TTS I would look into that if you are interested in the gameplay
