Very entertaining - not all the decisions had been made for production models when this was filmed: Deluxe, white faced gauges in a regal convertible and "STUDEBAKER" stamped in the top of the Hawk grill (probably more that I missed as well). These dealer promo films are always fun to watch.

They are indeed. A lot of our Collection is made up of press/pre-production photos so it is interesting to see what tweaks were made before the release of the final product.

Great video. My grandpa was German and wouldn't drive anything else.

And, Sadly, after this promo was made, Within a year Studebaker would cease production here in the U.S., And, It's Canadian production three years after that.

Driving around in a bathing suit and heels. Hilarious.

Promotional videos are full of very peculiar behavior all in the name of selling the car.

The south bend Indiana Studebaker plant should been converted to a automobile parts subcontractor making parts for Ford, GM, Chrysler, The workers would still have their jobs.
