    I save $600 a week but only because I live at home and have reduced board, no debts etc. a big way I can save is by getting double taxed so that at the end of the financial year I get $8000 ish back. I also don’t spend on silly things like clothes. I’m pretty minimalist mostly because my hobby is travelling and you can’t take that shit with you if you’re doing it long term. You can do it guys!

    Would help if someone who comes from a broken home, never graduated and hasn't got any job experience made one of these videos because there's people who don't have an amazing resume or references to get a job or they never got the education to get one of these great jobs. I know once I get a job and if I even get there in the end I'll be making one of these videos on how to save from rock bottom when you have no rope to reach for.

    Omg I know what you mean, I spend so much money at Woolworths and shop at a lot of stores on that app, and just saw they have fricken JD sports!! Literally was just in there spending money over the weekend, definitely a great way to save money on everyday expenses like if you do your grocery shopping at woolies, buy work and workout clothes from JD, etc.
    thank you for the amazing tips!

    • @GeorgieStevenson

      @@GeorgieStevenson I guess I'm just highlighting how the raw number of what you save is irrelevant unless you know someone's income. So if you're making $1,000 a week and you save $500 that's obviously very impressive and relatable for people. But if you're making $2,000+ then it's quite achievable and less relatable for your subscribers

    • @GeorgieStevenson
      @GeorgieStevenson  5 років тому +74

      Completely get that, hence why I explain my circumstances but this video isn't "How you can save $500 per week" the video is about saving tips that I think any income earner can utilize to save money

      I don't earn much more than that per week (supposedly well paid job, but after tax and student loan it's like $600 a week ugh). I save $100 a week, god it doesn't sound like much but it's all that's left after mortgage and bills!

    • @jesspaige4540
      @jesspaige4540 5 років тому +33

      Ted Hughes omg she literally explained in the beginning that it’s tips to save money and obviously depending on your situation it won’t always be the same but you can UTILISE these tips to save money, the amount you save is irrelevant really as long as your saving that’s the important thing, know for sure they’ve helped me.
      I save $300 a week of an $800 week pay and I know I could probably take advantage of things like the cash back app and being frugal and could save half of that.

    So you spent 100 dollars just to get back a little over 8 dollars. This is like when people use cash back credit cards. You spend thousands just to barely get anything back but people think they are getting a great deal. Unless you really need the stuff it is better not to spend money on the items in the first place. I'm American so unfortunately I see the negative effects those cash back credit cards and money saving websites have on people. People for some reason think it's a good idea to buy more stuff even when they don't need the items and they fail to realize how much money they actually wasted.

      Tameka D-B It comes in handy when you’re already definitely going to buy something online, and then as a bonus you’re able to use ShopBack and earn a small percentage back from it. It’s like getting a discount. If you’re a frequent online shopper the app is great because all those small amounts you’re gaining back really add up. Like she said, you can save hundreds over time if you use it enough.

    • @tamekad-b1014
      @tamekad-b1014 5 років тому +4

      @@rikkagustey742 The problem is that people watch these videos and think that it will work for them (cash back reward cards). The unfortunate part is that so many are worried about getting their reward points causing them to spend more money than they originally would and don't realize how much money they have to spend to even get anything back. I acknowledged that if the person needs the item then it would make sense, but most are not disciplined enough to only buy what they need. There are probably better websites around that will give more cash back for the 100 that she spent.

      You’re so right. I have the Wells Fargo student credit card that gives you a very small cash back. I only use it to pay my phone off, and maybe buy groceries. Once the cash back accumulates to $25, you can put that in your checking account. I’ve had this card for almost two years, and I know I’ve spent over a thousand and I’ve only been able to get that $25 once. Luckily I don’t fall into the “cash back” money hungry state... lol

      Ebony Jane Hensler - you should use Quidco I love it, exact same principle , so far I’ve got £95 back and my mum has got over £800 - 10/10 would recommend ☺️

    I am curious with Shopback do you get discounted prices at all? For example if we go direct to a site & use their discount code, we can get 10, 20 or even 40% off. Therefore saving $20, 40 or even more. Are we able to use discount on Shopback? And do they offer the same discounts/prices as the direct website? 🖤
