Plamen M I’d get mid 40s sitting at 80-85 on the motorway, 35 to 40 on a back road blast. I was honestly shocked at how little fuel it would drink. I once owned a bog standard 1.6i Renault Scenic that would struggle to get in the 20s on a city run 🤣🤣🤣
Fun car, had a silver vts by myself. Stiff as hell and cheap nasty plastics on the inside, but i loved it. Until the wiring corroded away and snapped for the ecu due to water, that was the end of that car.
Still got my vts, running strong at 144k. The back box holder rusted off but cable ties do the job in a pinch until I get a new one. Maxed out with most stock to 130 on the m6 with k&n panel filter
I have a c2 vts. I think it is a very fun vehicle, even though it is not as quick as a Saxo VTS. I can play with most vehicles in traffic. The advantage over Saxo is, in my opinion, primarily safety and better chassis structure. I have almost never used such a rigid vehicle on a budget. It has a chassis like a pile. By the way, did I mention it was fun? It's a really fun vehicle. :) It has been over 3 years since I bought it and I have 260000 kilometers in total.
Great video guys. I gotta ask, where did you get the rear window sticker? That would look right at home in my current C2 which, compared to the Saxo, is quite a step back in terms of everything...
I just bought one of these cheap, used to own a Saxo years ago and I can say I was kinda disappointed with the c2 it felt pretty slow for the size of the car and didn’t handle very well. Maybe I have a rose tinted view of the Saxo but I remember them being a fair bit quicker and better handling.
Driveway Developments maybe the one I have is just a bit worn out in the suspension area it is a bit rough I mainly bought it because the engine is worth more than I paid for the whole car lol
@@bendude6748 my loeb edition is a lot better handling than my old saxo that was on spax suspension. A bit more stable and not as tail happy when you're on it
@@deanodrives4966 I think the one I got was pretty worn out to be fair I’ve stripped it for parts since might buy another if a clean one comes up for a decent price
21 mpg ? Got One myself 1.6 vts Loeb edition does 40 mpg in town , all depends how you rev and drive , but I can do 20 mpg easy foot all the way down :)
Bounced mine off the limiter in 5th, downhill on the bahn.. 129 on the speedo although I'd imagine it's closer to 125 gps. Been a cracking first car, only let me down once when the inlet wiggled loose (common problem on the VTS). Loads of motorsport parts as it was used in the Junior WRC. You do have to rag it, but when you do it performs very well. Gives a lot of people a surprise at the lights in the merge lanes. Very capable motor when built, 200+ hp at the wheels. £6.5k engine build though. In some ways cheaper than getting a newer fast hatch, and in some ways more enjoyable than a boring pops and bangs mapped fiesta ST which you see everywhere.
@@rowanlewisuk Bit late (was on holiday) but just had a watch through it all. Really considering boosting it now with a TD04 also. Only problem I think I might have is with the electric throttle, can the me221 handle that from your memory? or am I gonna have to get a mechanical pedal + throttle body? I snapped my cambelt a couple days ago and currently swapping the heads with another engine I bought so got a bit of a backup parts wise there, and my cylinder walls are in top notch for the mileage. Valves barely touched the pistons as well thankfully (bent 50% of them about 5 degrees). So thinking of going ahead with it after a bit of saving
I have 1 the same but loeb edition and I've had 130mph out of it and it would of gone more lol but it isn't the best of handling lol mine has cold air intake lowered exhaust and it's a little weapon lOl
@@rowanlewisuk swear he was only going to about 6k haha I have one running J4 uprated cams, 4-1 manifold, decat and exhaust, intake with cold airfeed and back is stripped if you want to do a proper review on one mate. Looking to get it mapped soon hopefully when we're alowed out again lol.
21mpg?, would regularly get 40 ish out of mine, and that wasn’t all Sunday afternoon driving lol.
Think it wasn't running right my 1.2 punto was quicker
Driveway Developments sounds like it was over fuelling then, running rich or whatever lol. Probably needed the plugs changing or timing adjusting 😆
My VTS is around 40 mpg when I drive it normally, but driving like that on the video is around 20.

Love the honesty from the owner, just enjoying his car

Miss my old saxo vts such great fun I had it off the clock in Germany 😃
Seems to be a trend every citroen owner goes to the autobahn lol

144k miles or kilometers?
always nice to see a c2 vts. I had one too. Better on big roads and high speed. But for fun nothing better as a 106 gti :-)
I loved my 106 gti. I turbod one check out the videos
You don't advice a c2? They are too different? I had a saxo in the past but now nice one in italy are going for 6k €. C2 vts for 2k
Is it reliable?
Get in the slip stream of the chest of drawers 😂😂😂 this is GOLD 👍🏻
I've got 125 out of mine.... Also went to the autobahn. The rev limiter wasn't far away then though lol

The reason the original badges had a c on is because it’s a c2 code with the heated seat
Citroen c2 electrik??? Good ore bad? 🤔 Some other problems?
We're is the coil sensors
There the c2 code seats
TU5JP4 in GTi/VTS, TU5JP4S engine in the 125bhp C2s.
Is the vts supposed engine supposed to sound so high pitched?
C2 vts vs Yaris t sport ?
Does he still have the car?

I found the c2 more stable, but its much heavier with the same or a bit less power due to emissions changes. The 106 and saxo were special
