Great restoration, lovely finish, I would like to add that the correct size for tapping a M2 thread is 1.6mm you are risking breaking the tap using a 1.5mm

Thanks for the tip! I couldn't find any 1.6mm drills and since I have done nearly 80 restorations with this combination, I didn't think I was a problem. Will have a look out for the correct size.

Recently, an author introduced a unique idea, which should measurably enhance understanding--he called it "The Complete Sentence!" I hope it gains wide use!

Great restauration, love your videos. But tell me, what is Dittol? Googled it and it said Antisepticum, but is this true? Thought Antisepticum is much alcohol, and it would destroy plastic. Got some cars with paint on their windows too. And i wanna restore them .

Thanks, Heiko. Dettol is indeed a powerful disinfectant. It does not contain alcohol, but Chloroxylenol, which is also a paint stripper. The Dettol softens the paint, so you can simply brush it off, but it doesn't harm the plastic. It works with most hard plastics, like windows, wheels, bumpers and headlights. However, I experienced that it does react with some kinds of black plastics. Majorette wheels for example tend to turn grey in Dettol and I noticed that the black plastics on the Corgi 'The Saint' Jaguar soften a little in a way that you can almost leave your fingerprint in it. That reaction is not permanent and cleaning the plastics in water will give them back their hardness.
