Thank you for the video. I recently took in a bird from a family member. They had a cage, toys, and food, and such but the cage seems too small. This video help me get a better understanding of what size cage I need. The link for cages in your description made it really easy to find a new cage to purchase. Thank you.
Look at vision cages, I like the clear bottom and bell shape prevents poo going on the sides, only have to clean the bottom if you space toys and perches so they don’t get pooped on, also comes with guards so they don’t pop in food and water
@@busta7137 where are you looking? Large was cheaper for me on Amazon for some reason, medium could be okay, seen them in smaller cages but large is ideal
We rescued a cockatiel who had "anger issues". He became more pleasant as time went by, because he was no longer being teased by children and was allowed out of his cage during waking hours. The door to it was only closed when we went to bed. He eventually moved into an aviary we built with at least 30 more cockatiels. Anyway the point I am getting to was that a round cage doesn't help with their mental health. A cage with corners breaks the monotony of traversing the cage, and helps them believe that they're achieving their goal. We unfortunately did not know this when we got him, but considering that he spent at least 5 years in that cage with not being let out, because he bit the children of the previous owners, he did become less cranky, but he was still a wee bit "strange". Especially because he also was used to his own reflection in the mirror, when we released him into the aviary he would try to mate with gray males with yellow faces. Because they looked like his reflection, and that was really his only company that the previous owners gave him. .....and some of the boys got a bit cheesed off when he tried hopping on to their backs.
But doesn’t it poop on sofa, bed sheets, dinner table, carpet, floor if let open ? 😢 it’s a big mess to clean everytime he poops, suffering from a back ache now, how do u manage to clean it always without u stepping on it?
@@aimanshaikh5406 as I said he, had been locked in his cage for year's before we rescued him, his cage was his safe haven. Therefore he did not venture very far from it, so the vast majority of his day he was either inside the cage with the door open, or outside and on top of his cage, so poop went through the bars, into the sand in the bottom of his cage
I'm here because my annoying friend got a cockateil and I'm 99% sure the cage is too small so I'm once again doing the work for him (I had to do this when he got a hamster too)
F. I did end up buying a round cage with a stand to hold the cage. Im either gonna have to upgrade to a much bigger round cage or just buy a new reasonable size rectangle cage
Great video but can you tell me the one you have, the big white cage because it looks perfect for my cockatiels and I already looked at the link and couldn’t find it
As an owner of a cockatiel and 5 budgies, I believe all birds no matter species should have a flight cage. All of my birds have flights cages but they only sleep and eat in them. They fly in the bird room. If you get a bird get a flight cage! Birds are meant to fly

I hope he upgraded! 😕
You should tell him to stop buying animals if he’s going to be cheap about it… that poor bird.
Awww your a good friend ❤ but yeah I scared too if my friend got an animal and didn't do their own research 😂
Thank you so much I’ve been looking for a cage for my cockatiel🙏
I have a Savic Primo 60 knockdown black 80 x 50 x 70cm cage for my cockatiel with toys. is that bad?
This was really helpful. Thanks for the video!
Glad to hear it!

Do you have any recommendations on good hanging bird cages for cockatiel? I would like a cockatiel but I need a hanging bird cage
Make a vid about love birds
Can u do a vid abt a conure pls? Or a budgie
how big in cm dos it need to be
I just bought a cage for a cocktail and I realized a little too late that it's only 16 inches tall, is that ok??
Great video but can you tell me the one you have, the big white cage because it looks perfect for my cockatiels and I already looked at the link and couldn’t find it
it's the same as 52 Inch Bird Cage, just my cage doesn't have the Rolling Stand
Wait the one that is seventeen inch tall because I'm getting a cockatiel for Christmas (super excited) and I was thinking to get the exact one
The breeding one though I don't wish to breed one because I'm getting a single male
And I was thinking of attaching them to make it wider for flight should I do that?
