It's an opinion for it to be offensive, it's in a different universe where purple cloud demons can possess dragon turtles that can spit fire.
I must admit, I was 12 when I played this and I'm 22 now. This is one of the only bosses in all of my years of gaming to actually make me shake with frustration. I must have died 100's of times. That feeling of pure joy when I finally beat that last part was sooooo satisfying. I love this game so much.
This one, Zophar from Lunar 2, Indalecio w/limiter off from Star Ocean 2, Greedy from Ristar, Sigma from Megaman X 3;

Being so young, I got scared when Cackletta killed my bros lol!😂 I eventually(with a french accent) made him/her pay for that. It was a satisfying ending(and emotional ending leaving the queen)😭

First time I fought the final boss I was at like lvl 36. Didn't bother leveling up because I was good at avoiding attacks, and I just used Luigi's Thunder Bros attack to lower enemies' defense so the enemies were super easy including bosses. But then Cackletta's soul happened, who's defense can't be lowered, and has so many attacks with not so easy attack patterns.
Needless to say I had my ass handed to me.

It's seriously a pain fighting against him. At the age of 6 (2005) I got this game and finished this boss after 2 days of intense playing.

I actually found this boss to be my favorite in hard bosses, of course Princess Shroob holds a spot in my head as the hardest boss to me. This boss was a time passer for me. I'd sit with my little GB and play this all the time.

I beat both first try but I might actually say Elder Princess Shroob is a bit harder due to her MASSIVE total HP and in her 2nd phase she attacks multiple times per turn

I love Cackleta's soul boss SOOOOOOOOO much I can already tell that I'm gonna love what I see before I even see it.P.S. I also listen to the sick theme also that I listen to it almost every time I play a vidio game.
GUYS!!! AN EASY WAY TO BEAT THIS BOSS IS TO GIVE MARIO OR LUIGI THE GREEN AND RED PEPPER. CACKLETTA ONLY DOES 2 DAMAGE PER HIT TO THE CHOSEN PLAYER, AND THEIR ATTACK IS DOUBLED AS WELL. VERY HELPFUL
ALSO USE ONLY BROS ATTACKS.

I beat this boss by using mario's splash bros. move and luigi's knockback bros. move cause they do more damage to bowletta and her ghost.

I finally beat this boss omg been almost 13 years now off an on trying it now I have triumphed level 39 I was an I can't stretch enough an day it a all power an hp an def an the odd stache level an def you will fly through this game that's how I played it.

This is the hardest boss in the Mario franchise
(My opinion so whoever thinks that Culex is harder, it's ok :) )
Remy 05 I could see die hard fan of Super Mario RPG to think a boss like Culex being harder (I am one of those fans) but without even beating this game this boss is tough atleast for a first time playthrough. You don't expect to be at 1 hp at the beginning of this fight and her moves aren't the easiest to avoid without prior knowledge. I don't know if I can say the hardest boss fight but up there.
As for Culex he is tough, but you start at full health and its not forcing you to fight Culex when you meet. You can come back and fight him when you are tougher. Yes, you can do that with Bowletta but your first playthrough she is the main villain and you expect yourself to fight her. Heck, I even knew when Culex offers to fight you that Culex was a super boss and was going to be extremely tough so I had warning (I still tried and failed miserably lol)
Remy 05 I had so much trouble with queen bean as a kid, I literally took 2 weeks to beat that fight because I could never dodge her moves.
Remy 05 have you play PiT? no surprise if you havent because way too many people haven't played/beaten that game.
Remy 05 This boss is hard but very fun and has great music; thank god I've beaten it at least once. :)

I just remember that mario and Luigi superstar saga came out on Nintendo 3DS. But the original old one came out on Game Boy Advanced.
28:00 if you want to see Luigi's attacks do about 100 times more damage than before.
at 28 minutes, Luigi has no power boost, but a few seconds later, he does, and the music fades out, it sounds like someone cut something out.
My guess, some sort of software that can affect gameplay and cause this, because I've reached pretty high levels in this game (Mario = 47, Luigi = 48), and even I couldn't do 2300 with a partially completed Advanced Fire Bros. Attack, even WITH the red pepper.
I love this game it's a gem an my favorite Mario an Luigi game. With what i said below I beat it at level 39 well it also took like 30 tries to beat!

you have low attack power, low HP, but great BP!!
the tip is to boost everything equal
the trick is to attack with hand solo the Hands (1 or 2 hits and done), then the head with jump/hammer bros attacks (1 or 3 attacks and done), then the heart pops out and attack it with swing bros (you have to master it though) and you deal like 90-200 hit power ......and repeat
and as in all m&l and papermario series, learn to dodge attacks is the key of surviving

First off, always wear an item that gives first attack to your character. This prevents her from one-shotting you at the start because you can heal. Next, Mushbadges are your friends. Lastly, coffee exists for a reason. Sheesh, you were far too weak.

As a 19 year old man, I remember when I was between 7 and 11 that I played this on my gameboy for the 1st time the music for Cackletta at the final battle is just as intimidating as it is was back then, the remake of this game(I least I think it is)... Not a fan of the way they changed the music(Remix). Other than that don't really have any other criticism.

believe me, you'd rather see constant bros. attacks than see someone slowly progress through a battle by using nothing but jumps. much faster to use bros attacks imo

I beat this boss 1st try but to be fair I was 14 and already pretty experienced at this series from beating Bowser X. However I could NEVER beat Antasma X when I was 13 I think Antasma X is way way way harder than this for some reason
