Very nicely made C: I'm just curious, though, would you be able to make a set of these with hooves? Same basic idea, just with a hoof instead of a paw at the end.
I will die for a pair! I really want stilts so bad but i'm only 13. I have made several wings/masks but not stilts.. its Halloween soon and i'm looking everywhere to get some help lol. nicely done!!
@bloodrain219 Well there's a difference between the ligaments, and the ankle support. I think what you're asking about is the ankle support. If you have a Menards nearby, i looked in the metal section and found that the green edge metal that is about 3/4th inch wide works. I got 2 pieces and cut them to size with a jigsaw. You can also use a Dremel. What's nice about drawer slides is that they have holes pre-drilled into them. Drilling the steel is sometimes obnoxious.
@Tranquilitywolf101 It's a a lot easier to make them once you know what you're doing. I mean I can't say something easy for me to do may be easy for everyone. I've been doing carpentry-based projects for nearly 10 years, so this was a piece of cake with THE RIGHT TOOLS. When I made these all I had was a hand saw, drill and a Dremmel...SO obnoxious. It takes an artists' eye and a craftsman's touch to make them look great. I've seen a lot of not-so-great versions...
@ayasofly For a reasonable price, I can make them for you! Otherwise there are tons of videos and Instructions on how to build the basic design without the moving foot.
I just realise im making a similar costume concept as yours. yours is really awesome. LOL. Im planning on being a werewolf woman for this year. Im currently breaking my hooves off a pair of digi shoes I had done and turning into paws. Did you have a tail and claws?
I am completely fasinated by the digigrade stilts, i actually have to make to pairs myself. Out of couriosity what type of foam did you use for the toes? -Larry
@whynotchaos thanks so much and I realized after a few min that I said ligaments but I was doing something so I didnt go back and correct my self sorry XD once again thank you so very much XD
@GrimmEverafter Certainly! I also have a variety of options to choose from at my Etsy store if you want more of a DIY project to save yourself some money.
@LiveThisLifeStudios For the superficial toes I just used Furniture Foam from Hancock Fabrics. I had to glue some layers together to give them the right height. I also added some foam to the top of my foot, to make it a smooth line from ankle to "toe."
@Budcrud Thanks! Standing for more than 2 hours really hurts the balls of your feet, even with padding, but overall they were comfy. The long (1 block) walk back to the parking lot was hell. lol
i am freakishly tall but if i was shorter i would soooo do that
@SavTheWildcat I'm sorry for the extremely late response, but I am now taking commissions for your own pair of Digi Stilts!~

I can use stairs, but I have to have my foot sideways.

Can you do this with horse hooves instead of werewolf paws???

@valery2938 This is based off of a design by a UA-cam user named Gryphern.

Desperately need to get fur can you tell me how/where you got yours?
Just brush out yarn. Looks almost identical to fur.
