If your signal lights flash too fast this part is your hyperflash solution!! It is very easy to install and does not require any special tools...it plugs right into the harness. This component works with the following signal configurations: 1. All stock 2. Stock taillight, aftermarket signals 3. Integrated taillight, stock signals 4. Integrated taillight, aftermarket signals. We designed this part to fit exactly like the OEM part so the installation is a snap.
Guys, thank you so much for such detailed videos for stuff like this. I learn easily by seeing it done, and you guys go through the tiniest of steps, without lingering on those steps. Thanks so much!
+hawkeye1680 You are very welcome. We are glad to provide you guys with valuable content.
Man you guys rock. You could buy these and have all kinds of new mods up and running within an hour or two, minus the grips...12 hours to adhere to the surface properly. But still. Easy, clean mods that make the bike look much more flush.
Thanks buddy. Glad the videos helped you out.
Fixes the one problem on the R3, great price too. Thanks TST
You're welcome. We are so glad that we could help you.
Will this same relay work on my 2011 r6?
Yup, same relay.
@@TSTindustries sweet. I actually just checked to see the pins so imma order tomorrow😁
Just purchased the flush mount front signals, the look great. Question is, if I am still running OEM rear signals, will this flasher relay slow them back down to normal? Thank you.
Any combination of LED and OEM will be adjusted by the flasher relay and you will no longer have a flashing problem.
Thanks guys I bought the relay it fixed the problem thanks again
Glad to hear it!
First let me say everything works as designed. However the box is somewhat flimsy, which didn't matter to the electronics, but even with flap open a 1/16", it is so wide it barely fits in the rubber holder. Several times I had to stop and reassemble the flasher electronics before I got everything re-attached to the bike. Even so, I've very happy with the results.
D. Paul League Flimsy would be if the enclosure was under sized for the purpose. Everything we manufacture is designed for the purpose it is supposed to serve. The enclosure is designed to be easy to open to make flash rate adjustments. It is manufactured out of a semi rigid material that allows enough flex for unlocking the cap. Had we designed it out of a rigid plastic the end user would run the risk of fracturing parts of the enclosure. The reason why we designed a tight fit to mating rubber grommet is so that when installed the relay is secure and vibrates only as much as the rubber will let it.
PLEASE HELP
My 2018 R3 model: YZFR3AJ (aus) doesn’t have a flasher relay plug and my LEDs are in hyperflash. The wiring setup is different from the video so maybe it’s in a different location. If anyone has this model, please help.
I am sure that there is a flasher relay on your harness, it may just look a bit different and/or be in a different location. We unfortunately do not have technical documentation of models outside of our market
I just did some quick research. Seems as though some of the AU version R3 bikes use our Gen2F type relay (2 flat tab connectors at 90 degrees) instead of the Gen2 like in our market. We have both in stock but haven't recommended either to customers outside of our market. We generally require that the customer check what they have before purchasing.
Here I found an article about someone converting one of our Gen2 relays to have a Gen2F plug using the OE relay: www.r3-forums.com/forum/289-yamaha-r3-general-discussion/146007-tst-flasher-relay-au-mod.html#/topics/146007
Here is what the Gen2F looks like. tstindustries.com/tst-2-pin-led-flasher-relay-gen2-f.html
Thank you so much for the research, wouldn’t have figured this one out, really appreciate it.
Thanks. Nicely done. I want to order your turn signals, flash relay and the integrated taillight for my 2017 Yamaha R3. Im hoping to order the right parts and follow along the video
Would you guys know if the incandescent bulb will flash if just the stock relay was replaced with an LED flasher relay? Thanks.
yes, that setup would work just fine
Will this new relay power both the OEM incandescent rear turn signals and your LED front turns without issue?
Kirk Kniskern Yes, that's not a problem. It can handle up to two 10W incandescents per side. Since you will be doing LED fronts, each side will only be dissipating just over 10W.
If i get an integrated turn signal/brake light will this effect it by making it slower than the flush turn signals?
There is only one flash controller on the bike. It controls the flash rate for both front and rear. When you use our relay in place of the OEM flash controller you will control the rate of both front and rear signals with one component. It doesn't matter what type of signals or integrated taillight you have .
+TSTindustries Thanks!
+kiddeath921 you're welcome
Hi TST Industries,
If I install this product with the OEM lights in the back and the led lights on the sides, would it create some kind of problems between each other?
The turn signals will blink at the same rate?
Thanks for your answer.
I've already found the answer in past posts, so no worries.
thanks again!
Sorry we didn't get to answer your question sooner, but we're glad you figured it out!
If I install the flushmouts and the integrated tail light do i need two relays or will one regulate both?
Just one relay is needed per bike.
Hi TST. I just want to ask a question. What do you mean pre-configured to 85 cycles per minute? When I will buy this product, is it already adjusted to 85 cycle per minute? Hoping for reply. Thank you
Yes, exactly, the flash rate on the relay, by default, is set to the OEM speed of 85 cycles per minute.
Will using this relay mess up the flash rate for the rear signals? I'm planning on getting the flush mounts for my R3, but I think I'm going to leave the rear stock. Please let me know
The flash rate will remain the same in the rear if you install the relay. It is designed to fix the flash rate for your entire signaling system and will work with any of these configurations:
1. All stock
2. Stock taillight, aftermarket signals
3. Integrated taillight, stock signals
4. Integrated taillight, aftermarket signals.
+TSTindustries awesome! Thank you so much for replying so quickly! :)
Hi there, just wondering if a MT-03's flasher relay is in the same position as R3 does? Since I bought my relay but have no idea where the original one is.
Technically it should be in the same place because the tail components are the same between the two bikes. I can't verify that though because we do not have MT-03 models available here so I wasn't able to survey one.
is there any risk in running the faster rate without the relays other than just how it looks? thanks!
There are no long term effects if you decide to run the hyper flash, but we do recomend installing a relay when possible.
Does adding those lights void any warrantee?
Aron Morris You can read through the warranty materials in your owner's manual to be sure. Manufacturer warranties are very limited in what they cover. The manufacturer will not cover any aftermarket parts. Since you are just replacing some signaling equipment and not altering the bike or its electrical equipment you should be fine, and still covered for those things that are covered under warranty.
Is there such thing as a "Universal" relay? I'm going to be putting on flushmount signals and an integrated tail light on my CBR125 soon and I'm not sure what it's going to do. But if I were to need a relay is it possible to get something like that? I know there isn't much for fuses and relays on the bike so it might be tied in with a bunch of other components.
any universal type relay will require some wiring. You can stop at an automotive parts store and see what they have for two conductor 12v solid state flasher relay. If they have that you will be able to use it. You can also get our Gen2-F model relay and wire into that. Your biggest challenge is going to be finding where to wire that relay into. We haven't had that bike in the shop so I can't tell you exactly where it will need to connect but if you do go down that road I can help you along the way.
Quiero tus productos, como me los envías a Perú?
I bought those exact flush mounts.. let me get this straight.. I need that load resistor to control BOTH turn signals? Right?? And also I got back turn signals to put on as well.. will this piece control ALL the turn signals??
Donnie Fessler This is actually not a load resistor. In this video we install a solid state LED Flasher Relay. That one relay will control the entire signaling system; front, rear, left, and right. If you went the route of using load resistors you would have to wire one resistor on each light, resulting in having to wire four resistors in. By plugging in this relay you are doing away with the need for wiring, and you are eliminating four parts.
Can I use this piece for any turn signals?
I wouldn't say just "any" because if you use signals that draw too much current you will damage the relay circuit. If you are using stock incandescent in combination with one pair of LED type signals, or if you have changed to all LED type signals then this part should work out nicely for you. Please visit the product page of this part and read through the fitment guide.
Ok thanks
you guys have great products and great tutorial videos. I put the following mods on my 2006 Yamaha FZ6: Integrated Tail (LED 2 flashers spliced with the stock turn wiring) two rear flashers (LED), plate lights (LED) and flush mount (LED) up front. I put in an LED relay and my bike still has hyperflash issue when i accelerate. I am contemplating resistors but im running out of ideas and options. any help is appreciated.
There are a few different reasons why this could be occurring. The best way to resolve and get a better understanding of the issue is to have you contact support@tstindustries explaining the situation in detail, while providing videos or pictures to best assist you.
I installed a integrated tail and my left signals flash ones and then stop. Will this fix that issue?
if only one side of your signaling system exhibits the sympom then there might be a different problem on your bike that needs to be addressed first. In that case the relay will not be the simple solution you had hoped for.
+TSTindustries i need that relay.whats the part number ?
How can we order here in the philippines.?
Sorry, we do not ship to the Phillipines
Hi Tst,
I bought the hyperpack for yamaha r3 and it came with this version of the relay.
However the version of the bike that is beeing sold in my country didn't need the plug converter and the relay instead of using this version uses the gen 2.
So, by any chance, is there a way to transform this relay into the gen 2 by changing the plug or something like that?
Thanks,
Tomás.
Tomas, the circuit in side the Gen2 and Gen2-F is the same. If you send us photos of the setup on your bike we can instruct you on how to adapt the relay you got from us to work.
Is the relay brand specific? Say I had a third party rear led taillight and got your flush mount halos. Would it work for both?
The relay is not brand specific. You can use it for the application you described. Im just surprised you would want a different brand taillight ;)
TST, does the relay also slowdown/adjust for the rear turn signals as well?
The one relay controls all the signals on your bike, front and back
Hi TST, i have a problem, the relay i recibed is diferent at my R3
Hey Rodrigo! Would you mind sending an email to support@tstindustries.com stating the problem followed by your order number? Once you've done that, we can be of further assistance.
Is a relay really necessary?
With the introduction of LED Signals on the front or rear of your bike we highly recommend swapping your relay out.
damn got my flash relay and the plug in the bike is not the same as it is here :S
where are you located?
Australia the guy who sold me the relay over ebay even put the right plug on there for the R3 but our models are not the same I guess its stupid might be I can change the plug over
+Yamaha Rider J I would like to see what plug you have for the relay and for your individual signal lamp connections. Would you be able to send me some photos?
its about 10pm now pulling the bike apart again tomorrow will take a picture when I do
+Yamaha Rider J awesome...thank you
I installed intergrated tailighta on my r3 and all my signals/brakelights stopped working i didnt have a LED relay idk what to do.
