I joined your channel for healthier eating cause I had a gastric sleeve two years ago do I have to get in a lot of protein in my diet .but I alps Have to follow a gliten free it makes it very challenging I drink alot of prptien shakes and consume a lot of chicken I'm glad I can find different recipes from your channel especially when I crave sweets
@@kristyjohnson9681 yeah, protein shakes are probably the best for you! They are easy to digest. Taking a high quality multivitamin and omega 3 supplement will also benefit your gut
@@kristyjohnson9681 also incorporate easy to digest foods such as soups, chowder, porridge, and smoothies. It's great to use natural digestive enzymes such as pineapple or ginger, but for some, these can be too strong. You can try other herbs like marshmallow root
I'm curious about what your health goals are. You said you're not doing low carb diet. Do you follow a specific diet program? And weight training! I've also started weight training. What results are you hoping to get from it?
Hi! At the moment I'm eating whatever but focusing on protein and balancing macros- I'll film a full series next week, but I'm trying to bulk up and gain muscle! :) How are you finding weight training?
@@TheBigMansWorld oh, I'm really liking how I feel afterward! It helps with my anxiety, brain fog, joint pain, and even stress resistance. I made the mistake of being on keto for over a year (maybe it was 2 years?). It's great short term diet to lose weight, but I ended up losing more muscle mass along with the fat. I was going through a pretty traumatic time too, so that didn't help! But luckily, I'm mostly off keto. I'm just trying to incorporate cleaner carbs, like white rice and sweet potato.
@@heartmind.coaching Hoping you are in a better place now :) Oh yes, it's good for quick weight loss but the mental fog is not worth it... and I found workouts SO much better with carbs (and sleep!)
@@TheBigMansWorld yes, carbs are the fastest way we get energy! It's just important to find the right carbs, ones that won't severely spike blood sugar
