Can we see a behind the scenes video of the Branch Ave, Falls Church and Glenmont Yards in the near future? The Branch Ave one we don't see much on camera despite being very visible and being just as fascinating as any other yard facility and the Glenmont one is one not many people know about since Glenmont the station is underground and all.
@@Caitsith810 there are a couple of places I know where they can build yards, for one they can build a new yard under the connection between the 3 and the L where they keep all the extra tracks and tunnel parts, it's a huge space that looks like it'll be able to hold 15+ train cars on one track
Great video, Thanks for showing this.
Thank you for watching! -CC
Super impressive clean and modern facility. Thanks Metro for giving a glipse behind the scenes to your passengers!
Thanks for watching Joy! 👍 -KB

In Washington D.C.
Those trains have much less clearance under the truck than one would think. I noticed the same on MARTA as well. But it is a proven design.
I'm here because of the Legend that is Clifford "Tugboat" Giordani. Toot toot!
They are using both jacks and traditional inspection pits? Interesting decisions.
NYCT would be so jealous lol 😂
Why would they when Coney Island Yard & maintenance complex is bigger in every way?
@@Caitsith810 because nyc doesnt have enough yards to store all of its trains, some have to be running
@@theautistictransitfan yeah they have the money to build new yards, idk why they don't approve it
@@jaydenphilbertmunipals9089 Because there's not enough space to build them. The five boroughs are more condensed than most Metropolitan cities.

How do you switch a Green/Yellow car to Silver to get it to this facility?
Can you do a behind the scenes Alexandria or Brentwood Yard one time?
Or Branch Ave or Glenmont. The Glenmont one is definitely a unique one and one you wouldn't expect because of Glenmont station being indoors
@@ethanparker7900 True.
@@DMVRailfan I have obviously seen those respective yards many times in person but I never got chances to take solid pictures of them.
What's the music for this?
