This reminds me of my Dad who passed March 7th 1990. He used to take me there when I was a kid. I miss him still and the track in Foxboro. I will see him again in Heaven..feels like ages ago..

Love your videos of old time harness racing from Foxboro and Hinsdale!

I was a patrol judge at Hinsdale for a couple of seasons. My dad was an associate judge a few years earlier, before he retired.

Aw man that brings back memories. I was 17 in 1985 and a buddy of mine started bringing me here shortly after this. Winfield ore, Williamsburg one, Broadway premiere, songster - why did all these old horse names just pop into my head!

I remember they were giving away free season passes on opening night one year. Lost all my money by about the 6th race. Ripped up the season pass in a million pieces. Stopped at an ATM on Rte 1 turned back around and had to pay to get back in. Ah - the life of the degenerate gambler. Robert Kraft unknowingly saved me money when he bought Foxboro Raceway and turned it into a parking lot for Pats games.

All horse racing is basically dead in America now. During its hey day, the horse tracks were the place to be

I once trained a horse around that track in 2:10 at 2 o'clock in the morning. I didn't have to steer so i assumed the horse could see better than me.
