I think this is by far the best laser engraving tutorial I've seen until now. Many things are so easy when you know how to do it. Thanks for sharing the video.
I hope that it'll have a thousand-fold of views in the next couple of weeks/months/years. It certainly deserves it.

Thanks Kenny, you have inspired me to assemble my laser and get started with it.

I hope you do Ronald. There is a bit of a learning curve but once you get than hang of it, there's pretty much nothing you can't do. Thanks for tuning in.

Keep'm coming Ken. I just received my new X Tool PS2 laser. MUCH DIFFERENT than the Longer laser I've been using! I welcome all the laser videos you put out. Thanks Ken!

You've graduated to a PS2? That's awesome. I haven't had the opportunity to work with the PS2 yet but maybe soon. Thanks for tuning in to the show. Let me know how you like the new machine.

Great show with a lot of very usable information. The one difference that I would point out is the terminology use in Lightburn vs xTool Creative space. Whereas Lightburn will offer "fill" and "line" designations, XCS uses "score" and "engrave". While a small differentiation, it is, I think, helpful to call out that difference. I wish XCS offered the Tool (T1) designation. Using xTool Creative Space I create a boundary box and then set the laser to "ignore" that box so it does not carve. Another terrific show and the use of the line images is definitely the way to go. Thank you for another informative and inspiring show.

XCS does like to use their own language and it is a much more primitive software than Lightburn. Truth be told, I prefer Lightburn over XCS any day. But there are some applications where XCS is my only option, like when using the IR laser on the F1 to engrave metal. Thanks for tuning in this week and for chiming in with your thoughts.

Clever bit of misdirection since you included your tool layer in the original "group it all together" after deleting the text at the bottom :) You also didn't mention how you only engraved just the words or just the image - but perhaps you've covered that in other videos and it didn't really apply here.

Good eye Ken. I did indeed accidentally incorporate my tool layer in my grouping and had to back out and fix it afterwards. It was a pain in the neck but I figured that the original instruction and the original concept was still intact so I never bothered mentioning it. As for engraving the text and the image separately, I thought I mentioned that they were put into different layers and the layers were turned on or off. If not, I apologize because that is pretty important information to have and although I have mentioned it in other laser tutorials, it should still be incorporated into this one. Thanks for tuning in and for chiming in with your sharp eye observations.

Be sure that the images and drawings you download are not copyrighted.

Great point Dan. If you are engraving them for your personal use then that's one thing but if you are planning on selling them or making any kind of profit, using copyrighted images can be a problem. Thanks for bringing that up and for tuning in to the show.

I hope this doesn't adversely affect your analytics, but I didn't watch this all, as I'm not into lasers.

I'm never concerned about the analytics of the channel Mark. I'm more concerned about folks enjoying the show and being able to pick something positive from a show, even if the topic doesn't interest them. Analytics and stats don't interest me at all. Thanks for tuning in.
