Tysm! when i met tunning i thought it is too hard and i didnt want to buy kalimba. But, next i met you, and it look easy! I will try tune calimba from G to C when i will get it :) Tysm again!!!
I use the numbers to indicate a place in a scale, and I wishes that the manufactureres would do the same. So if you have a 17key its just fine. 1 is in the middle no matter the scale. But if you have a 21key, alot of manufactures they place 4 in the middle, and still uses the C scale. They should use the F scale, so that 1 is still in the middle.. 1 should always be in the middle... It makes it hard to change between kalimbas when the layout on a 21 key is different from the 17key. Only lingting understand this 😅
It took me 3 hours to tune a new kalima, I'm not musically inclined and have no idea how to use a tuning app and what octave I was aiming for. I did this for my 4 and 7 year old daughters,.. I reeeeally love them.
I use an alternative to remember which direction to hammer. When I find a key needs to be "higher" in pitch, I look at the higher pitch keys of my kalimba and notice they are shorter. So I see my key must be made shorter, so hammer it upwards to shorten it. When I find a key must be made lower, I look at the lower pitched keys, and see they are longer. So now I realize my out of tune key must be made longer, and hammer on the top, or downwards, to make it longer. So, rather than remember, I just make use of observation to get my answer when I need it. Its easier for me. Great videos, thank you!
Just wanted to add that we should tap the keys with the hammer lightly. (I hit it too hard one of my key is dented at the top 😂😂). Thank you for the video, also, you’re so pretty 💕

Hello do you know how to fix the wood kalimba if it fell at the stairs?
Not to be weird but you're really cute and pretty!!
It's hard to not focus on you instead hehe
but um- nonetheless thank you for the tuning mistakes vid. I was crying tears of frustration before this lol
🥰 now i know yay thx!
started to watch your vids few days ago ate! 'cause hopefully next week, I'll get mine too yay. i'm really not interested at first but when my lil brother ordered a kalimba, i found the sound so peaceful and i kept on borrowing his instrument which makes him annoyed sometimes hahahaha. so, i decided to buy for myself as well. his is hollow one that's why i chose acrylic. ako naman magpapahiram sa kanya this time hahaha and we're planning to do some duet once i get my acrylic kalimba. thanks for your videos po ate. i'm going to finish all your vids 'cause it really helps me in advance for real. sending lots of love. God bless you po💗
Aaah! Ang cute ng kwento nyo! Nako sabihan mko pag nandyan na duet nyo ha? Naexcite ako dun🥰

@@TipsKalimba Thank you!
Thank you so much you really helped me a lot! ♥️
Ahhh thanks i follow your tips.. But yung tungkol sa problem ko with the kalimba, tigsell ko na lang online then bili ulit🤣
Hahahaha sure! 😆❤️
My kalimba didn't come with a hammer and when I tried to tune it I screwed up my keys they sound weird now. :(
What app can I use to tune my Kalimantan?
Datuner or panotuner :)
oh. i was stupid and made all the tines the same height.
I'm so lost. I have zero musical talent but my friend wants to play Kalimbas together. The only thing stopping me from actually buying one is tuning tones etc. And no matter how many kalimba guides I watch or ask her to explain I still don't get it
You playfully present the content in the video. Very funny video 😍
1:18 pls say which app? ❤️
I have a small coconut Kalimba and it’s 7 keys and it’s not labeled and I can’t get it to tune!! I don’t really know how to play or tune it and I’m not very good at knowing the numbers and letters for tuning so I’m very confused :
Seems like I cannot properly adjust 3 E ** and 2 D **. Not even the tuner app knows what are when I play them... Any tips?
Thanks for the tips! I feel like I managed to tune my kalimba BUT I can’t tune only the “A” correctly! It’s sounds too dull/flat/deep to the surroundings…
The app says it is well tuned (I did the other ones there too)! I dont understand…
And is there a difference between A and Ab?? (The app always says it’s Ab)
