I dont have a kalimba, but I was curious about the difference in sound and ended up watching the whole video! As one of the comments here says, the way you film your videos is so aesthetic. What a flex!! I think the chains make the music sound so whimsical. I would love to hear Tchaikovsky's the sugarplum fairy with the chains. ❤❤ perfect for christmas 🎉
If you have a necklace, you can wrap it around your kalimba and it will have the same effect. It might move around from time to time. I tried it and there is more control on how high or low you can place the chain. :D
I have a Kalimba and chains but my kalimba doesn't have hooks. I've found I can wrap the chains over the back of the tines and let them drape over the front ends. Like a little necklace for the Kalimba. Hope that's of any help 😊
I'm glad you and your son enjoyed it~ I recently started playing with the chains attached and I really enjoyed how it sounded like so I wanted to share with everyone and hopefully they enjoy something new with their kalimbas~

First to reply. Hehe
What an aesthetic video. Even if you're just talking about a kalimba accessory, I enjoy looking at the way you filmed this.
thank you so much :)
I got a kalimba a few years ago, but I've only learned a few songs. I need to get back to learning.

Hopefully you find the time to :) I'm pretty sure once you get back it will be easier for you.

Tchaikovsky's sugarplum fairy maybe hard to play on a 17 key. If I ever play with a 34key kalimba then I can try to cover it. :)
Didn't know this was a thing, it's beautiful 😍 preferred one chain though 😊
Glad you found it as enchanting as I did~ It sounds better in real life, and I agree that one chain really does sound the best.
I enjoy watching your guides. Thank you for this 😻
Thank you for watching as well!
I wanna try this but I don't have a LingTing kalimba and my kalimba doesn't have hooks 😥😥

There are also chains with small magnets.
