This is a new fave, at 2 and 4 players. Some players just focus on mining, others on the graveyard, some rustle a lot of cattle, and others spread their choices out. Fun and engaging.
Fliptown is a gem! I've been playing it for quite a while now PNP since it was being playtested, and I'm so happy with how the final version turned out. Quality all around (though I'll agree that the boards could be a bit bigger) and the introduction of the character cards and bounties adds another seamless layer to things. It has a great deal of solo support too with the different bots. Playing the 'Hold 'em' variant can be a lot of fun too! How it kinda frees up your poker hand choice for a few of the turns with the added cushion of having seven cards to choose from can be a nice change.
Very happy to hear people are enjoying my Hold ‘Em variant. I offered it as a suggestion during play testing, and was very excited when he made it an official variant!
I love this game, I do agree that it is a gem. Fleet the Dice Game is my other favorite roll and right. Now I wish that game had this board treatment and art splash
I immediately fell in love with this game. I used my Iron Clays, Mini Gold Bars that I bought on TEMU, and gold nuggets I have from another game, to add to the theme.
I backed this one because it looked fun, and I like it so much more than I thought I would. And everyone I've taught it so far were positively surprised by how much fun it was. And I agree, the player boards should be larger, that could be a problem for quite a few people
I backed this at the print and play level. I really wanted to get the physical but shipping killed it for me. Really enjoyable game though, glad the production really came through to match the quality gameplay!
Pretty neat, I playtested this one years ago when the author posted it on facebook. I suggested adding tool reminder markers near the wild lands, and im super glad it turned out this epic 🎉❤❤❤❤🎉
I wonder how this game would fare with resource tokens that you can grab instead of having to circle them. It's more tactile and it'll make more room for the other areas, they could've printed those at a bigger scale and keep kind of the same size player board.

That's awesome! It's such a great change of pace and feels so organic as another way to play, it was a good idea.@@PurpleMoosePlays

Completely agree with everything that was said. I really enjoy this refreshing flip and write.

watching the overview it looks like theres no player interaction? check the BGG ratings it says best at 1 (solo)
Zee's eyes light up when Tom mentions the grave robbing shovel 😂 15:31
I agree with you guys. This is a solid 9 for me
For me too.
This is a fun game. You can really build up some good combos.
Any other recommends with this mechanism?

This is a great timing for the review. The publishers were just starting to sell Fliptown online.

Choosing the number of one card and suit of the other, is this different than choosing one card straight up? Honest question
Well, it gives you more freedom, because you are choosing this from three cards, which offers several combinations.
It's a 9 for me. Especially with my deluxified components.
What deluxified components do you have?!😮
@@RebeccaAlis - I use golden nuggets (Etsy), golden bars (TEMU), and my Iron Clays Poker Chips from Roxley. It looks fantastic.

Hadrian's Wall's resources are fantastic in this respect.
I wish you guys would have touched on the mutiplayer aspect of the game
We can barely see the board's icons lol
«Open world» roll and write is not new tho. At the top of my head I can think of Three Sisters, Fleet the Dice game, Hadrian's wall...
