Farm Kid Takes out The Trash

- Scouting Fields- Overall the crop looks good other than the plants are a little yellow yet due to the extra moisture and low temps we've had. While I was out and about it was the perfect time to replace some broken drain tile covers with some new covers from May Wes. Onyx takes out the trash with our 3038E John Deere Lawn and Garden Tractor. Check out our new J&M 4 Wheel Steer Header Trailer and my new wardrobe from Walls Outdoor Clothing.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

The chainsaw mishap still laughing 😂 I have had that happen so many dang times I wish I had a beep button
Are you watching grass grow? Are you making us watch grass grow? THIS is entertainment!!!!
Love the updates, keep safe on the four wheeler.
I love how your dad is so nice and never complains at all.
Man your puns and (jokes) are just great. Love your videos but the comedy makes it even better. Keep it up.
Im here for the jokes and i learn things about farming along that XD
@@juku619 same here some I knew some is new.
He has some epic dad jokes. Nearly want to be a farmer until he said wet corn slurry with its sticky aroma.
Could be a new niche market of corn cologne.
I thought the jokes kinds corny!!
I love his bathroom joke. Makes me chuckle everytime
Great video and its great to see how hard work pays off. It's also great to see you instilling hard work values in your son !

It’s amazing how much one can learn from your videos!
Your a great dad letting you kid drive the tracker all that safety stuff makes soft kids
Your dad seems like such a truly nice guy.
I am not a farmer, but there is something here that makes me keep watching. Its very interesting and fun, keep it up!
You can bypass the switch by unplugging ot and putting a wire in it that bridges the switch
Love your videos, thanks for explaining things just enough for a novice to understand what you're doing!
I have learned more about where my food comes from since I started watching you. I keep sharing with all my grocery store friends so they can learn and appreciate. Thanks
I'm so glad to see you planting nongmo corn and beans thank you and God bless you and your family
You should've called me. I'm a rotten corn expert!
Cole The Cornstar hey
Cole The Cornstar hi
not you
lol
git back tour one Chanel.
I know I watch you
What a great dad you have. Great video
Pretty awesome to hear Maywes! I was born and raised in Hutchinson!
Yeah, that's happened to me before. But it's funny anyway.
Great to see the future of farming is in great hands.
God bless you and your family.
If you wanna trip the seat sensor just unplug it, get a wire and two connectors and connect the two little prongs on the end of the connector
Really? I had better look into this
Not that it's good to by pass any safety device but take the sender from the seat tape the button down and put it back in the seat
I carry a little jumper wire right on the mower, I've had a bunch of sensor failures and without a jumper you're down. I just jump switches until I find the bad one. Seems like the mower sensor fails the most.
My 3025e is bad about shutting down if I lean over to see the tips of forks on the fork lift attachment. I really want to go around the switch.
Disengage a safety feature...
Doest your insurance company pay out for "shouldn't have done that" deaths?
loving the video's! Great to see Onyx driving tractors aswel, get them started young.
Watching these videos does make me miss the days I did farm work in Australia... love the big green machine's
Never really knew how much knowledge and actual work goes into running a farm! You’re videos are pretty awesome at showing a little bit of everything that goes into it and it’s given me a better appreciation for the food I have on my plate. Keep up the great work!!
I really wanted to see you Enjoy The Mow, Bro.
Maybe some day!!
my corns the same height! I planted May 20...haha but only have a dozen plants! Started a garden this year for the first time
Love your videos...can't get enough...Thanks for your hard work on the farm and on the channel...
I've had some Wall's coveralls, and man, they were awesome! I LOVE my Carhartt stuff, when I was towing in Illinois, there is NOTHING better!
Your dad seems like such a really nice man!
Totally agree 100%
I’m so glad Cole the Cornstar had your link
To get the John Deere to run there is a sensor under the sea unplug it and you will be good to go. If you want to cut grass while the seat sensor is unplugged there is a second sensor, you unplug it and then you have to solder a wire to join the two purple wires and then the mower will work.
All the best, Edgar
Great seeing the tour of the fields. For Father’s Day yesterday I took my 1 1/2 year old son field scouting. No prouder moment really. Looking forward to watching it progress this year.
Great video as always.
If you unplug that seat sensor then use a piece of wire to cross it that may work.
I would have to see you in the cargo shorts and hoodie with a blue steel pose before I would consider buying any of the walls products👍👍🤣🤣. Good job buddy
Keep it up! Thanks for all the information about agriculture! So much to learn
You can drill holes in a plastic 5 gallon bucket, submerge, put pump in that and your pump wont get all the muck plugging it. Thanks for the show.
I like these longer video's!
I caught that green day reference lol When no one was looking, I was thinking of you
Anna was such a cute puppy not that long ago. Enjoy watching her antics even now.
I'm a city boy watching your videos I went for a ride in a combine last year for the 1st time in my life it was awesome I could spend a week with you on the farm anytime I'm retiring the 1st of January love your videos are awesome. Carl
Hotwire the seatsensor, just connect the two cables together. Its a must on all learning vehicles 😅
That works on our lawn mower just unplug the seat sensor and take a jump wire and plug it in each part of the sensor and it should work
I think deer fixed that so you can’t jump the seat switch any more. They are running a three wire switch. Hyster has gone this route with their forklifts as well.
@@NorthViewModelShop Buy a replacement sensor and make it work and then tape it somewhere.
@@talonjacobson7753 we dont have any sensors or cabs on our mower anymore they were in the way
Damn you're on fire, daily videos as of late. I don't mind, keep them coming.
Humor, mistakes, family, educational and Big Tractors...something for everyone. Great Videos as always.
So much land and so much fun; just don't get injured, be safe.
I’m 14 and I drive combines and chaser bins in Australia 🇦🇺
Yes we want to know about your skin care regiment.
🤣🤣
Always entertaining Zach. Your humor is second to known. Always fun to see your vlogs. Keep them coming.
Gotta love the guys who love the land: respect
Laughed loud when you lost the chain. Like it never happens to me!
13:50 Tide Pod snack... Hilarious!

Just found your channel and wanted to say thank you for all your videos. I grew up in Fargo and one of my uncles farmed over by Wheaton MN. I dont get back often, I live in Idaho now, so it has been fun watching your videos and bringing back memories of being out on my uncles farm. Makes me miss living back there. Keep up the great videos, and thank you and your family for doing what you do. Farming is the most underappreciated profession, we would all starve without you.
I just worked with my son to find the right spot for him to sit, and put a piece of tape on it. Now he knows where to sit, and it’ll still have the use of the safety switch - given he’s still young.
You should pour some concrete under that binoutlet. Thanks for you quality videos!
Had no where near this kind of equipment on our farms. Of course, that was a few decades ago, lol.
I got the distinct pleasure of watching a commercial for Case IH's new air drill before watching the video. WIN-WIN!
Gets on the middle of the train track, THEN looks both ways. Very Warner Brothers :)
jsut pull the sensor off and use a ziptie to hold the switch down. Did it on my JD mower and works great
Or disconnect the sensor and wire together each side... use it at the golf course for all of our equipment
@@THEPIERENB true, but if you 0kan on reselling it it is easier to just use a zip tie so it can be put back to original easier
11:40 "But I am a Millennial" 😂 Well someone got to do it.
I proud of your son. He will learn. Well done
I have a 2 year old GSD and I smile every time I see yours. Happy dog. He would love a farm to run around on, .5 acres is all I can offer him.
Might try putting a jumper wire in the tractor side of the plug on that seat. Will complete the circuit.
As my neighbor glen said who has now passed, “the calendar says it’s time to plant”
Bacon man of stupid ness Ok I would but he retired many years prior it’s not rented to the neighbor
Andrew Camarata puts the water pump in a plastic bucket with many holes drilled into its sides. It helps to keep stuff from plugging the pump. It makes for a handy way to store the pump.
Love your videos keep up the good work! also its awesome to watch you being so local to the area its really neat too see what works for you and what doesn't.
"Oh I broke one off." There goes the profits for the year!
Tree Beard sabotaged yer saw bud, lol. 😛🌳
Great to see that you’re going with farmer to farmer. Time to break the stranglehold the big boys have on seeds
Hahaha your old man is so cute 😂. Hard-working, patient and caring. Just a killer attitude! 🤘
Hey Zach:
The combine battery was not dead?? How did that happen?
Ya gotta get excited about Duluth underwear🤠
Captain Al from Tampa 😎
I think dad just put me in the tractor and said figure it out. Hehehehe i didn’t crash
Gettet done crop scouting. Looking good
Fascinating. I will play this video for my class. Thank you
When you threw that food container away it broke my heart 😥 then got mended
Darn, that kid get to drive the tractor. I wanna drive a tractor!
My dad had me driving when I was 5 years old!
nice vid
Beautiful family Zach!
Good video teach the kids young great job dad all the information is awesome learn more each time I watch the videos
Skip the deere put him on the Moline, no safety switch to worry about 😀
Remember kids always look both ways while half way across the train tracks🚆
Look at those mits! Look at those mits! Great video Zach!
Really love your channel watch for a year or so i watch your channel every day now best farming videos out there
The people at Walls Outdoor Goods need to hook you up with a chain mail sleeve for that left arm of yours before it becomes a total pincushion. XD
John Deere makes a “plug” to put in the Seat so he can use the tractor
I love watching your videos everyday!
Great vid. Start the kids early. They will forever remember it.
Thanks for farm tour , I don't want to be your mum 😀 but chainsaws with loose chains are dangerous , adjust before use. A bloke in Australia nearly bleed to death after chain come off an hit him in leg. PS yes I have done a lot of chainsaw work . Stay safe regards not your mummy😀😀😀
All you need to do is dig under the grain auger and cement a large enclosed pad with a built in sump pump.
Awesome video! I always love a good crop tour, corn looks good
Great video Zach, always good to see, take care now. 😎
How is the arm doing? Saw the bandage was off 👍🏻
I still need a band aid over it to keep it covered but I already have full range of motion back. Just some numbness around it!
MN Millennial Farmer what happened?
Hey Zack, i got word from Jim that we are gonna have to fire you for breaking that soybean! 😏
Great video! Thanks - look forward to the next one
2 of the greatest smells... fresh cut hay and cow pastures!
Can you broadcast a cover crop on those bare spots?
Plant some tillage redish in the non corn spots
The joys of farming ha Zach. Greetings from Sydney Australia.
I always like see the boss! Seems like one heck of a good guy!
Use a jumper wire on the seat
Observation - your Dad seems like a really nice guy. And to put up with the camera nonsense!
we finally have had a June rain in Alberta, Canada. great channel !
One of your better vlogs, Zach...nice seeing the countryside and such from the seat of your 4 wheeler. I liked Minnesota's secondary roads better than the interstates, good roads and see much more of the state. 👍👍
Calls himself Millennial Farmer.
Talks about 'handy dandy digital apps' like he is a babyboomer
My names Dalton I'm on my dad's account and I was born in Breckenridge MN
crops look good for what they and you have went threw to get them in the ground stay safe up there
I know the older JD 870 compact tractors have a seat safety switch that you could override by pulling the switch upward until it clicked, then use the seat prop rod so the seat couldn't come down and hit the switch. Make for a stiff riding seat but would work!
