Each track plays two parts of a song or two songs alternating depending on the activity in the race. It'd be a bit hard for Richard Jacques to compose multiple remixes for all tracks in this game; he'd have a huge load to work with. Even OutRun has quite a lot of music choices. The funny thing is, Richard Jacques already did remixes of the original three in OutRun 2 for Xbox!

Question: Would the Sonic & Sega All Stars Trilogy (Sega Superstars, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing + Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed) be less fun if Shadow wasn't in them? I say yes because the 5 characters you expect in a Sonic game would be from the Genesis era (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy + Dr. Eggman) so I'm glad Sega turns on their brains adding Shadow to the mix to race against Sega Characters!
@@unskilledgamer3642 because he's cool and I never thought before the announcement for this game that he'd be racing against Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Team Fortress, Football Manager, Danica Patrick or Wreck-It Ralph. I know if that was going to be a thing that the genesis characters would be shoe-ins
Ah, that's cool then! (So glad you're not one of those many types who'd call me an idiot for liking something they don't). Yeah, actually I do agree that SMB2's level design was far more intuitive and fun with over 150 levels that caused you to really think. The biggest difference is that SMB1 and 2 are puzzle games, whereas SMB: BB is more like a platformer, which is why a lot of people would find it different. But hey, to each their own! :D
Banana Blitz was good. It was challenging in it's own right, and I liked the cartoony graphics. I mean to each their own, but I just really hate when people automatically assume "Cartoony graphics = bad game" Just like Wind Waker, a very good game that people needlessly bashed because "Link looked cartoony". Don't worry though...you're not the only one.
...or people don't like jump buttons, safety rails all the way through the midpoint of the game, and generic bland level design until the last couple worlds.
Also, at this comment - Each track was selected around a theme. There's only three Sonic tracks this time around (thank god), at least. Where would Super Monkey Ball fit in where it could replace one of the other tracks we already have while fitting into the theme the track you replaced originally presented? We already have it filling in the temple/jungle (loosely) theme.
So agreed! I wish there was a video that was just a constant loop of the Monkey Island - Banana Blitz version over and over! I don't care much for Monkey Jungle from SMB1. Just never got into the SMB1 soundtrack.
I'm not saying it was bad because it was cartoony, I also think the level designs weren't as creative/challenging mainly because they had to focus it around motion which wasn't as precise as a control stick on the Gamecube. I agree it had its strong points, but yeah agree to disagree I guess :P
Late reply but I beat the world tour on full, try characters like Amigo or Tails with the super handling mod and take your time with it. Dodging the traffic is easy if you have patience
I never thought I'd had fun racing around a super monkey ball track whilst driving the hornet from daytona usa
Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed: A misunderstood gem overshadowed by games like Mario Kart. Overall, it's fun with a really great soundtrack!
yea mario kart and garfield kart are too powerfull ;--;
This game a masterpiece of a kart racer and honestly I like more then any Mario kart game.
i mean, it sold well and was received super positively by fans and critics. it’s regarded as one of the best kart racers of all time by many lol
This game is for America only and this make me sad

What a fun track this course was.
My fav too
Agreed
Wasn't one of my faves, but the music tho, the music is awesome!
When you return to uk and you have to fight some roadmen
when you take the slim shortcut and fall off
1:49 This is probably my favorite part
So Super Monkey Ball 2 is your favorite now?
Same here it’s So catchy
It's what everybody came to this song for. It's the songs hook that stays in your head forever.

Gotta Love how they chose Pirates Cove, my favorite Super Monkey Ball OST
The connection between the music and the car / boat sections of the track makes the whole even better !
I love the Monkey Island remix, but i would have loved to hear the 'Jumble Jungle' theme from Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz on this course!
This is one of my fave tracks, I loved Super Monkey Ball!
the soundtrack is SO GOOD and my 3DS doesnt do it justice so Im listening with headphones

Why do I feel a vibe from a Super Monkey ball music ????
Why do I hear stardust speedway samples in the background, and why does it fit so well
