It's righteous. I'd we don't accept Jesus, we are separate from God, whether it's something that's nice to hear or not, because sin is evil, and God is perfectly good. Evil cannot survive in His presence. That's why we need Jesus. To save us from our sin, because we can't save ourselves, we can't change back to sinlessness. We don't have the power. Jesus does.
