It's amazing how ignorant I was of God's Word. I was in Church for decades and never read the Bible because my Pastor has a Masters of Divinity Degree. While I was working all week he was studying, praying, and preparing his sermons. When I started reading God's Word I realized how much I didn't know. Romans, changed me and helped me finally put the sins I was practicing behind me. The biggest thing I was shocked about was how some things I was taught were wrong. It was a hard pill to swallow. You will never know what the truth is if you Don't read the Word of God yourself.
oh man, Romans hit me hard the other day in the shower i couldnt stop crying for like 5 minutes! especially because it related to a previous conversation I had that day before.. yep God works in the most amazing of ways no doubt! he also brought my childhood love back to me after 20 years!
I had never heard the gospel either! I was in catholic school as a child and another church, the Bible was not suggested. I truly didn't know but thank God at 62 I do know what our loving Father has done for the world! This Palm Sunday Lord I love you and thank you for saving a wretch like me ❤

It's amazing people, especially nowadays honestly believe that lying, stealing, cursing Gods name, blasphemy, sin in general, adultery isn't a big deal. @jsharp9735 Of all the Catholic Masses i went to since i was little there's only a sermon or two i actually remember to this day. One was when i (21 or so at the time) went with my two younger sisters b/c our guardians wanted to make sure we attended church. That particular sermon the priest read Mark 9:41-50 where Jesus says it's better for you to cut off a limb (hand, foot, or pluck out your eye) than to go turn Hell "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched." It was the first time a sermon from Church really stuck with me (that i recall); and a few years later God showed me i was headed there. Cried out to Him for mercy...life's never been quite so good since. : )
He won't, gauranteed. How do I know this? History is a good predicter of future events. Think about it, people have been saying this for eons.. actually Jesus said he would return in 'their' lifetime but he didn't. Think of all the calamities over the centuries in which people just like you made the same claims but nothing happened. Believing it will happen does not mean it will.

I always ask people if they can give me the definition of believe, faith, repentance and contrite heart. 9 times out of 10 they can't. So then I explain all of these to them. Then as I am ending my conversation, I ask if they are going to have a conversation with God, trust him and repent for offending God. If I get a yes, than I ask when. Then I suggest that they do it before the day is over and ask if they will. If I get a yes, then I say Praise the Lord and I expect to see them at the gates of heaven one day. Then I give them some information of what we just talked about with my salvation story. I also include some really good preacher videos, including yours to get them started in the discipling process. Ray I would love to see your cartoon tracts and video include the definitions I mentioned above. What do you think.
I think it was mostly because of the daughter... she is young. We preach the gospel with love, respect, yet boldly and in truth. Ray protected the mom's dignity in front of daughter and husband but carefully, yet clearly, added the topic of lust.
Hehe at first you were talking to his wife dude of course he had his back up! Then when he was looking at his phone he was relaxed and he understood that you preaching the gospela nd also humbling his wife he was enjoying himself couldnt you tell? I could. She is an example of the failure of the Catholic Church to save souls. I grew up Catholic. I never really understood The Good News until I was over 70! I sure know the "acts, the works", and all the rituals and motions. As Do the priests and all the way up to the pope understand this? Are they born again? I don't see evidence of it. I have watched the video of a speech of his and while part of it is lovely, part is not based on the truth of the Bible. I don’t sense that he truly knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior and understands how vital repentance is in true salvation. My heart does, in fact, go out to him but, I think that many Christians are believing that he is now also a Christian. I thought that, perhaps, you could shed some light on this subject. I always ask people if they can give me the definition of believe, faith, repentance and contrite heart. 9 times out of 10 they can't. So then I explain all of these to them. Then as I am ending my conversation, I ask if they are going to have a conversation with God, trust him and repent for offending God. If I get a yes, than I ask when. Then I suggest that they do it before the day is over and ask if they will. If I get a yes, then I say Praise the Lord and I expect to see them at the gates of heaven one day. Then I give them some information of what we just talked about with my salvation story. I also include some really good preacher videos, including yours to get them started in the discipling process. Ray I would love to see your cartoon tracts and video include the definitions I mentioned above. What do you think.

I think it was mostly because of the daughter... she is young. We preach the gospel with love, respect, yet boldly and in truth. Ray protected the mom's dignity in front of daughter and husband but carefully, yet clearly, added the topic of lust.

Hehe at first you were talking to his wife dude of course he had his back up! Then when he was looking at his phone he was relaxed and he understood that you preaching the gospela nd also humbling his wife he was enjoying himself couldnt you tell? I could. He thumbs upped you because he couldnt talk to his wife like that without it costing him everything.

HE taught Repentance to GOD and being born again, being Baptised in Faith. Did David "confess on his knees to Nathan?" NO, he prayed to GOD. Read the Psalms.

She is an example of the failure of the Catholic Church to save souls. I grew up Catholic. I never really understood The Good News until I was over 70! I sure know the "acts, the works", and all the rituals and motions. As Do the priests and all the way up to the pope understand this? Are they born again? I don't see evidence of it. As is said in Ecclesiastics, it is meaningless. I was left hopeful by the very ending.👍

Ray, I wonder if you might be willing to address the supposed new conversion of Jim Carrey the famous actor. I have watched the video of a speech of his and while part of it is lovely, part is not based on the truth of the Bible.
I don’t sense that he truly knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior and understands how vital repentance is in true salvation.
My heart does, in fact, go out to him but, I think that many Christians are believing that he is now also a Christian.

I think the husband was already a believer. That’s why he had a huge smile on his face and a thumbs up! Maybe he had tried to talk to his wife and she didn’t accept the truth from him. Sometimes, it is more effective from a non family member.

The husband looked a little ferocious at first. Maybe he’s been trying to reach her but as 1 Cor. 3:8 says “some plant seeds, some water, some harvest.” Thats a loose translation. Praise God!
I have a feeling the husband chose not to be involved because he's been making attempts to share this with his wife for a long time only to be shot down and endured endless pushback and wanted this to come from someone else where no perceived negativity can be blamed on him.
