    Thanks so much for posting this, it helped me fix my Ninja blender. On mine the thin red cable popped off and I soldered it back on, voila the machine was fixed. I called the company and they told me the warranty had expired and to throw it away.

    Thanks for the great video!
    I have the Ninja nutri- blender pro with the same problem.
    For mine, one of the thin black wires for one of safety switches had come off.
    I couldnt get the outer shell off completely (not sure if there was a screw that I couldnt find or if there was a plastic bracket).
    Therefore i didnt have much space to work with. I couldnt find the soldering iron, so i snipped the other wire off and straigh wired it by stripping and twisting the wires together, covering it with electical tape.
    Working now!
    Hopefully the vibrations don't undo my twisting. If it does, ill solder it at a later date.

    So it appears to me that it was the sensors not making contact when you twist the mixing cup. Mine has fluid running into the little spaces which makes me think there's build up keeping it from making contact.

      Thanks for your comment. At about 2 minutes into the video I show where those two switches are. You should be able to check them with a multi-meter to make sure that when they actuate they go from OL (out of limits) to low resistance.

    Question: At the beginning of the video you talk about switch when turning the cup. Why did you just use that switch? instead of the household one.

    • @diywithdave3186
      @diywithdave3186  5 років тому +1

      The switch actuated by turning the cup is just a safety switch that lets the control board know that the cup is present. It does not actually turn it on. Because the control board was bad and I couldn't figure out how to get another one I just removed the control board and replace it with the household light switch to power the motor.

    • @diywithdave3186
      @diywithdave3186  5 років тому +1

      As I thought about your question more, another answer is that the safety switch could not handle the current drawn by the motor, it would burn up.

    • @diywithdave3186
      @diywithdave3186  4 роки тому +1

      You want to make sure that the switches that sense the presence of the mixing container are working properly. If they are, you could look for broken wires or things on the circuit board that look burned. If all else fails you could do what I show in the video. If that doesn't work the motor is probably defective.

    I've got mine in bits at the moment as the top bearing has collapsed, poor design or clever design ....both actually .... Poor for us but clever for the company as there is no seal underneath the impeller so if you have a mishap and sme fluid leeks of you wet and clean around impeller the water, detergent, smothie etc just leeks directly onto to bearing and will eventually destroy itself........ There's a red and black wire on each side of both the switches I just removed those 2 wires and soldered them together and then put electrical tape around that for safety, I did this with each of the 2 switches. the only problem with this is the blender motor will run even if the pitcher isn't seated properly so you must be sure the pitcher is seated properly everytime before running the blender (bc this removes that safety feature where the blender will only run if the pitcher is seated properly). @@ricardoafm
