Thank you! I have learned more about my Cricut from you than from the Cricut people. Thank you again.
I'm still learning every day, Zenda. The Cricut Maker is capable of SO much more than we imagine!
I chanced upon a garden left forgotten and forlorn, but alas a spark of curiosity in my imagination was surely born.... I ran my fingers along the brick of its wall feeling the texture rough upon my skin. I walked until I found a door, and hoped I could slip within, to sit in a shaded nook or walk it's cobbled path... explore to my hearts content and in it's peace let my soul bask.... you've done it again Heather.... created another little piece of the wondrous sanctuary... I love it...
Dear Shirley...your poetic stream of consciousness word flow is delightful...I still hear music in the background, and sweet voices intoning your words! xoxo
#QueenOfCrafts strikes again!
Darling, you are hitting home runs like a pro. Can't wait for your next installment.
💖💖💖
Hello, dear Ophelia! What a generous thing to say, darling: thank you. I can't wait to SHARE the next installment with you! xoxo
@@Thicketworks Not at all! You talents are profound and numerous! 😊 Thank you for taking the time to share your projects with us and for always being so kind as to answer us. Much love from Merry ol England 💖 💖 💖
Your techniques aren't at all complicated, yet your results are Totally Unique- Bravo!!!
Yay! I try to keep it simple, and to push the boundaries of what basic materials can do for us, @Elizabeth S - that way, it's accessible to more folks. xoxo
I am loving every step of this project Heather!! And I can't wait for the vine... I need vines on my Addams house!
Hi Ara! You DO need vines! The Family will be so pleased at the resulting ambiance...😉 PS: Your Lurch is lovely. 😘
The realism of these pieces astound me every time! 💜💜💜
Well, DANG! Thank you, darlin'! xoxo
@@Thicketworks you're welcome my dear! 💜💜💜😘
Another fantastic video that is also so relaxing to watch
Oh, that is very sweet, Neta! We need more relaxing stuff in this hectic old world, girl. Hugs! xoxo
As always, you did an incredible job. Your individual projects are so realistic and beautiful. I can not wait to see the finished garden. ❤👍 LG vom Tinchen
Oh, this makes me so happy...Thank you, Tinchen. Trying to recreate weathered finishes is my passion! xoxo
Good morning Heather I love how you capture the era and your detail is right on.xoxo
Good morning, dear! Yay! I hope you have a wonderful day, Cindy. xoxo
@@Thicketworks Awww thank you xoxo
my hub just asked me what I'm watchn & i say heather he says tell her hi & the stone work looks good. & that my dear is a very rare thing as he is a master mason & rarely complaments anyone's wo5rk unless impeccable. 😀 showed him your last video & he thinks your very talented.
* the garden furniture im doung * l8fe size* is coming along ill try to post on your fb what i have done so far, later today or tomorrow busy busy love what cha do as always . from the hub & the the bub lol
Whoa! Now, that's a lovely message to wake up to, girl! Tell Hubs that I'm ever-so-humbled by his seal of approval 😱 And thank YOU for being generally awesome, Bub! Hugs! xoxo
It really does look authentic, just beautiful.
Well, that makes my heart happy, girl - thank you, Anastasia! And this is SO fast and easy compared to all that individual block building nonsense! xoxo
@@ThicketworksI cant take the credit, it is one of the awesome ideas from a youtuber. His channel is called "Black Magic Craft" .
@@anastasiasholeinthehollerc8697 - Yep, I watch Jeremy's channel, too. But I'm confused: what 'credit' are we talking about?
Gorgeous! When working with texture pastes I always make a bowl of hot water up ready for stencil cleaning, helps keep the mess down
Excellent advice, MissGroves! Thank you! xoxo
Gorgeous! !!!
Yay! I'm so glad you like it, Sarah: Thank you, my friend. xoxo
I waited until I had time to sit with a coffee and no distractions for this one.... day totally made! I am trying to figure out where I can put a fairy garden I'm dying to create! Each component convinces me further that I desperately need one, but faux stone anything is my jam! 😬😬 It's beautiful as always Heather and my inspiration meter is full to mega mess capabilities 👍❤️ xoxo
Dear Lia...firstly, thank you for the beautiful private message, girl. 😘 You have a gift with language that is a delight to behold! It's wonderful to hear that the Fairy Garden is pestering you to be MADE - I have a feeling that you won't be able to resist the call much longer 😅🌹
Awesome. Thank you.
Thank YOU, Ruth - you always raise my spirits, darling. xoxo
Meraviglioso cara.....sembra realmente VERO.....👏👏👏👏👏😘😘😘👍👍BRAVA BRAVA CARA BACIONI è buon lavoro a presto......
Grazie mille amica mio. Le miniature sono affascinanti per me, Anna... Abbracci!
GENIUS, pure genius Heather. Thank you so much for your inspiration. Jo x
Not genius, darling: practicality! Facing the task of having to manufacture all those individual 'stones'? Soul Crushing! Stenciling is WORLDS easier...and because I'm basically lazy - it's perfect for my style of work, Jo! Thank you for being so kind, my friend. xoxo
Fantastic Heather! I don't know how you get all these great ideas and work so fast! I'm trying to make a similar scene based on your videos, but I just can't keep up with you. You really are an art powerhouse! And it's all beautiful.
Well, this is surprisingly heartening, Heather: I always feel as though I'm moving so slowly! The editing process takes SO much longer than actually making the thing - it feels as though I'm always behind, my friend. Having the luxury of doing this full time is rare, and I'm so grateful to be able to work on these things every day. xoxo
Once again, stunning!!! 😘😘😘
Hello, my dear Katrina...and thank you for your kindness. It's a pleasure to see you, as always. xoxo
very cool...love your art!
Hey, CareyAnn! Yay! Creativity is the most fun, girl. xoxo
FANTÁSTICA TEXTURA!👏👏👏
Thank you, Cristina! I love texture! xoxo
Thank you so much Heather. I knew I was under-utilising my Maker and just watching your explanation of cutting the arch really helped. Thank you
That's awesome, Jan...The Maker can be used in endless ways - cutting bespoke stencils is SO fun! xoxo
I just discovered you and Thicketworks today, and I am awestruck! I started getting into miniature gardening this past spring, but it is rapidly growing into something more than the typical fairy gardens and other miniature gardens I've seen. Over the last week my ideas for what I would like to do have exploded, and I've been looking for ways to make garden walls...for the various dioramas. Enter Heather Tracy!! My question for today is, will this "stucco" that you have applied to the foam board seal it well enough to hold up outdoors?
What a wonderful wall! love that texture!
I love how easy it is for us to achieve, Rose - and FAST! Such fun. xoxo
Oh I love it so much. It reminds me of the castle ruins I visited in Germany several years ago. I can't wait to see more!
Hello, my beloved PocketSize! Oh, how I yearn to see these things in person. I'm so glad you've had that experience. More on the way! xoxo
Increíblemente hermoso!!!!! Felicitacioes
Dear Monica: thank you, my friend. You are a shining light! xoxo
I can’t get over how realistic you create your work. Just looking at this puts all kinds of ideas in my head🤯🤯❤️
Fantastic! When the ideas start flowing, you know you're on the right path, Zena - yay! xoxo
The texture is amazing. Love this project ❤️
Yay! Fast and easy texture: you know how much I love that, Donna...and you can't get much easier than swiping goop through a stencil! Hugs! xoxo
Me encanta su aspecto,es auténtico!!! xoxo
Oh, gracias, Pilar! Hugs! xoxo
Totally badass. Thanks for all the amazing free info!! Waiting on tax money to join a class--def need more of this in my life! 🤟
Kitty! Yay! Thank you, girl - this kind of thing just makes me so happy: we can take the simplest stuff and make magic! Looking forward to working with you in class, my friend. 😘
Each video I watch the more I am inspired to start creating something . I need to figure out how to get copies of your stuff . I don’t own a computer and I’m handicapped . So I am confined to the house . Your videos are great !
Thank you for all the kind messages, Elisabeth: I cherish them. I hear the frustration, and I can't imagine how strong you must be to face these challenges every day. I have so much respect for that, my friend. Take extra good care of YOU. xoxo
The stone wall totally rocks on both sides
I like that simple stucco effect, too, Faye...and it strengthens the foam core to a surprising degree. xoxo
Wonderful tutorial! I looked back again at the brickwork pavers and couldn't find how to add mortar to it. I am hoping to do a brick and mortar wall. what did you use for the mortar? Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas :)
Oops! I linked the wrong video - my bad!
Mortar Mixture:
3 Tbs Joint Compound
Approximately 1/2 cup of water
Approximately 1/2 Tsp Black Acrylic Craft Paint
Approximately 1/2 Tsp Brown Acrylic Craft Paint
Mix thoroughly to eliminate solids.
Use a Plastic Craft Syringe to dispense the mortar into an applicator bottle.
Apply the Mortar Mixture with a Needle Tipped Bottle
The process is detailed in this video, @fatboyd112: ua-cam.com/video/NRdFtldoDeU/v-deo.html
@@Thicketworks Thank you so much- I just realised I'm posting under my husband's account haha!
😘😂
Another Wonderful video. It's perfect timing for my next project. I can really use this technique. BTW Heather I came across a new product and I thought of you , check it out , it's called "SUGRU'" MOLDABLE GLUE . Looks real interesting . ❤
Yay! It makes me SO happy to know this is of use to you, Franco...woo hoo! And I will definitely look into Sugru - you know how I adore ANY product that will help us make magic - thank you! xoxo
