- Designing these two variations of Medieval Fortified Doors was an amazing experience. I learned SO much. Now, I want to share it all with you!
Using the Cricut Maker to build Miniatures in 1:12 Scale is a grand obsession: don't let anyone fool ya - once you get started, there is no turning back!
The Abandoned Boudoir Diorama is in desperate need of doorways grand enough to be worthy of the mysterious Lady that haunts the halls...so, a DEEP DIVE into all things PORTAL was required.
Never would I have guessed that a 'simple door' would require two weeks of dedicated effort, but that's the adventure...one never knows just how demanding bringing a vision to life will be. Nope...it's always a journey into the mystery, fraught with unexpected twists and turns.
I love that.

Wow, just WOW! Incomparable as always! It looks so perfect you believe it’s a full-sized doorway that takes you straight to medieval times ✨
It's lovely to know that you enjoyed this - thank you! 😘
Hi, Heather. I just want you to know that I have been binge watching your videos the past few days. I had recently bought a play castle to transform and got completely hooked on your videos. The scale is too large, but that's OK. I love watching you create. Even without decorating my little castle, this door would be an amazing opening to a book nook or a diorama box!
Stunning as always my friend! And you were right about the nail heads... they were icing on the cake of this door... if that made sense! lol! I am still so shocked out how smoothly you got that latch to move within the door itself😍 Perfection in every way!
The latch thingie is my pride n joy, girl. I squealed with delight when it worked, as you can imagine. LOVED your Addams Family Portrait session - tre magnifique, Ara! xoxo
That's an incredible looking door Heather. Beautiful work and design. Congrats on creating such a great product.
Thanks, Neil! One little door (or two) compared to the EPIC build you have embarked upon is embarrassingly meager - but I treasure your feedback. Can't wait to see the finished gaming table - those buildings have such richly detailed surfaces...
Hi from Malaysia, thank u so much for posting the video.hope more people to give a like.❤
Hi Adam Adam! And thank you for your kind words. xoxo
Those details driving me nuts!!!!OMG!!!!!
Ha! Yay! You make me giggle, Maria - thank you! Huge Hugs! xoxo
NON VEDO l'ora di guardare il TUO VIDEO....👍👏👏👏👏💖
Thank you, darling Anna! xoxo
This is just incredible! You're so talented and not to sound weird but your voiceeeeee it's like melted butter. You should do voice overs honestly. You're amazing 😅
One of my favorite projects. Makes me happy that you enjoyed it. The voice thing: you are very kind. We all feel that cringe when hearing our own, don't we? 😅
INCREDIBLE!! You are a genius!! Worth the wait 😊😊
Thank you for being so patient, Christina! xoxo
I like to watch your videos once I’ve done with my day, all my troubles are left downstairs and I’ve gotten into bed to snuggle. The way you use these materials is wonderful and always sparks some creativity into me at night time. It’s not easy maintaining such a high level of detail and desire to constantly make and share things- so thank you for that.
Well, how lovely! Thank you, @Precious Payne for your insightful and deliciously kind words: much appreciated, my friend. xoxo
The only channel on UA-cam where captions work like they are supposed to. Even though your voice is so soothing, sometimes I need the volume all the way down. You are the only person with proper diction, vocabulary and pronunciation that the auto-generated captions can make sense of what you are saying. Your videos are not only incredibly creative, impressive and entertaining, but your linguistic skills are truly a pleasure to hear. Thank you for raising the bar on instructional videos on UA-cam. I am happily subscribed.❤️
Awesome project again ❤ as for the Uho glue there is one for foam which has a greenish/ turquoise color mark on it to distinguish it from the regular.
This has been such an informative video and I really appreciate the time it must have taken to put this together. You have inspired me on some jewelry prototypes I want to create and had no idea how to begin. But with simple material you use, I think I can pull it off. Thank you for your wonderful list of materials, I’m putting together my cart to order and am so excited to begin!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Nothing makes me happier than to hear that you have benefited in some way from the tutorial, my friend. May your prototyping be filled with joy and discovery, Cindy! Woo hoo! xoxo
Another fantastic project! You are amazing!
Oh, that is very kind of you, my friend: thank you, Nancy! xoxo
Your work has many intricate pieces and you describe what you are doing so well, I've finally realized who you remind me of... Nigella Lawson! She is always great at describing what she's doing, etc. I can almost smell the wonderful aroma of your paupers bondo! LOL Thanks for another awesome tutorial!
Well, that's quite the compliment, my friend - thank you! xoxo
I knew if we waited patiently we would have a *MASTERPIECE* Thank you, Heather
Bless you for your patience, darling. I am SO pleased with the outcome. xoxo
This was one of my favorites, but know I am always watching even if I don't message. Bless your heart!
You know, it's moments like this - when a soft voice of encouragement touches my ear, that I feel this wash of gratitude that I cannot find the words to express. Thank you for this quiet moment of companionship, @ricjoiee xoxo
I made my own curling tool using a long cotter pin. Works perfect for curling hinges or making paper beads and can handle most lengths.
That's awesome, Barbara! I love it when we can use ordinary items in unconventional ways - excellent tip: thank you!
Your work is absolut fantastic❤😀
Now, stop that at once! (Seriously - thank you for being so kind, my friend) xoxo
Magnifiscent Heather!
Thank you, Dear Jo. Huge Hugs! xoxo
Your attention and dedication is incredible !!!! This is beautiful. And so realistic. Incredible design! !!
Awww - thank you so much, Sarah! With each build I learn more and more, thank goodness. xoxo
Hello my friend. I’ve been keeping this video for a treat and today I needed the uplift that your videos always give me. You are so extraordinary talented. I 💖💖💖 this project. It’s almost insane in its genius-ness!!!!!!!!!! I like the door with the grill on it too! I can’t wait to see it installed into a diorama!!!! Awesome Heather. Thank you for sharing. 🌹Rosie of Oz 🇦🇺
Thrilled that you think so, dear Rosie: I truly lost sleep over this one - it NEEDED to feel authentic, or I just wouldn't be happy. Bless you for your kindness, my friend. xoxo
Wow! These doors are amazing.
Wow! My friend Anastasia is AMAZING! Huge hugs, girl. xoxo
@@Thicketworks You're too sweet, love ya.
Oh my, you did an amazing job on this one luv! 💜 :)
You should have seen all the 'fails', darlin'! But, persistence pays. Yep. xoxo
I dont have a Cricut machine. I wish I could buy the precut pieces then glue them together myself. That would be soooooo much fun!
Hi Traci! I have a colleague who will cut and ship the pieces to you for a reasonable fee. You can contact me here for more info:

I hope you’re proud of yourself! Look what you did! This is amazing!

Thank you, my friend: This was a labor of love. xoxo
Enjoyed what I saw. Have to watch replay. Internet went off and on. 💖
It was delightful having you join us for the Premiere, Susan: thank you! xoxo
Excellent video!
Thank you for all the support, darling Daphne! You know how much it means to me. You ROCK! xoxo
This is just what I need for a project I've been envisioning. Your work is so inspiring!
Excellent: that is precisely why I build these things, my friend. Thank you for your kindness! xoxo
Another Awesome, and Awe inspiring project! The details just make it so perfect! Your work inspires me to go that extra effort in my projects. Thank you!
That's such a lovely thing to say, Susan: Thank you! xoxo
I love your work so beautiful! Little Question what is the background music it is so nice..... also on you other video's do you have a link? It is relaxing to listen to😊
Incredible! Love this project for sure! Love the hinges and latching mechanism!
I may be using parts of this for my steampunk project. Can't wait!
I do have a question ...
Is chipboard the same as cereal box cardboard, or is it thicker than that?
Also, when you use the precision applicator with the superglue, do you cap it when you are not using it? Does it ever clog on you?
Hi Sean...thanks, dude. The chipboard is a scad bit thinner than cereal box weight, but it is of higher density.
The I do NOT put the cap on the precision applicator between uses. I allow it to clog, then burn the tip of the metal applicator with a flame (VERY CAREFULLY) to remove the clog before the next use. Works like a charm.
xoxo
@@Thicketworks Thank you! Clever glue tip ... tip! 😁
O.O wow just WOW!
Yay! Just Yay! xoxo
This is a beautiful project! Does it only work with the Maker or is it also compatible with the explore Air 2?
Hello, @for the love of it all - (thank you for your kind words!) if your Explore Air 2 can cut 'cereal box weight' chipboard and make intricate cuts in cardstock, you are all set, my friend. xoxo
🙏🏻😍😘 Thankyou
Thank YOU, girl! xoxo
Do you leave the glue in the precision tip bottle or do you return to original container? I have never tried this. How do you prevent it from drying in the tip if you do leave it there. Thank you!
Excellent question, Nancy: the way to keep the tiny nozzle unclogged is to VERY CAREFULLY burn away the build up of glue from the tip with a flame. Works like a charm!
@@Thicketworks thank you. I will give it a try.
Hi Heather, I hope you're okay! I recently purchased a bunch of your files from Etsy, and have seen that you haven't been uploading. Hope all is well and that we see you soon.
( Replay ) awesome as usual💕😍
* Hi Happy New Year
Hey, girl! Happy New Year! I have a feeling this one is going to be amazing! xoxo
Are you okay? Ive been watched all your videos again and ive been on all your social media and cant find an activity from you for a year! I am worried tbf because you are so talent and i hopw you've made ot through the pandemic coz i wouls be very sad, you have amazing art and vision.
Also your website is down!l and your Etsy :( please upload again, you are so inspirational
Bless you, my friend. I'm sorry to say that life circumstances have intervened, and I've had to stop crafting, but all is well. Thanks for the info about the site. Take care.
Do you think the super glue hardening work as well on cereal boxes? I have so many to recycle. 🤦♀️
Hi Danielle - and the technique WILL work on cereal boxes - but only on the 'raw' side of the chipboard. If you need to harden from the printed side, I recommend sanding the surface prior to applying superglue: this will allow the liquid to penetrate the paper fibers. xoxo
Awesome 👍...but I could barely hear you from the music being too loud 😕
Thanks for letting me know, I'll be more careful in future, girl. xoxo
❤❤❤😀
Hurray, a video! Thank you sooo much for all you do to add fun & creativity to this world!
