Best upgrade EVER! I’ve been using spacers (blanket tracks) in the Black Tie theme but my Midi controller saw them as actual tracks which meant there were sliders associated with those blank tracks. My mixing templates will be much cleaner now!
Visual Spacers are a thing I do like. I found then by accident and yes, that is the right sort of direction to decrease the overwhelm that is Reaper. It still took me haveing to wade through a video to automate a VST (and it was a PITA) but track spacing is a really cool thing that would help. 🙂
Yess!, learned something new from Master Kenny.... Have been using the spacers for a while, but didn't know that we can also adjust the size of the spacers. Thanx for the wisdom Kenny
It's small (and seemingly insignificant to the process of music-making) features like these that help to sway me towards Reaper - am currently evaluating it and have mixed opinions about the look and feel. Any UI-friendly features are good. Probably no helping the menus though ;-)
If you Google "reaper peace theme", you'll find a nice theme that somebody made. It's been my default theme for a long time now and I struggle to look at the default reaper themes anymore. Maybe you'll find it useful too
Personally i dont see the point of these spacers, i would rather have the space it takes up for the tracks (and i use many). I use way stronger colors for my tracks which makes its very clear which tracks belong together anyway so there is definately no need for these spacers for me at least.
Track spacers and the collapsing folder options in preferences are my favorite features from this update so far ✨
I'm finally getting used to the audible phrase spacers that Kenny puts into his videos.
It kinda helps!
Love your work Kenny!! 😁
Christopher walken vibe
Not me.
Love his content, but hard to listen to. He doesn't sound like that in his intros. It's like he does it when reading or something.

Great Job Kenny, long may you continue with all the great work you do for all us Reapers!👍
It's the small things that really make a difference for me in Reaper - this one is very much appreciated!
Thanks, Kenny! I'll be waiting your next tutorials for Reaper 7.
Hooray, now I no longer have to clutter up my project with empty "spacer" tracks. Thanks Reaper. We love you.
that's how i did it too. would be cool to be able to change the spacer color.
Lol I used to do that as well, was annoying
Nice touch!
Excellent as always, thanks!
Master Ken is back with Reaper 7
Love your tutorial 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️.... You helped me Soo much 💜💜💜
More on Reaper 7 new stuff please. Thank you. Great video as always
Been waiting forever!!
a nice addition to reaper!! its the little things that matter!
As always writing a comment to support the channel
Really cool that they put that functionality in the track manager
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!
Is there anything like this in the Mixer panel?
The spacers will also appear in the Mixer panel.
I didn't know I needed that, but that is really neat!
Spacer are honestly the best new feature in Reaper 7
Thank you Kenny

Yes the spacers definitely help. Thanks again.
Awesome!! Thnx Kenny 🎼👍🏽💙
very new neat feature...as plenty of others I already like
Thank you!!
Great Job.

Can this also be done on the mixer for the same purpose?
"This is REAPER 7" series of videos coming up lol
Suggestion! How about doing an "up to date' video about all the features REAPER offers! A compare and constrast between REAPER and PRO TOOLS!😀

do you miss New York?
Hey the punch is new!! Better than a slap I guess!!! 🤣🤣🤣
good, is not possible insert a name in spacer? (drum, vocal and other..)?
Good idea!
Neat!
Nice!
I really like this new feature, but I gotta say... The Reaper community is darn funny!
ISSUE!!!! When switching between mixer panel and track panel views and there is a spacer it doesn't show the selected track.

The Visual spacer menu item does not appear in my Reaper 7. I'm using Windows 7; could that be the problem? It's a nice idea.
Ooh - you've got your work cut out!
There's those "CLICKS" even in your demonstration 4:24 in your video!! those clicks come in during recordings!
It's just the sound of him typing on his keyboard, picked up by his voiceover mic :)
Favor: Can you spend a few minutes describing the current update?
It's coming.
TheReaperBlog has some great videos about it
Only took 20 years -

colors look almost the same
Can you please address the "clicks"

Охуенно)
I prefer separators, but these are okay.
