As someone who volunteer at a charity shop they usally use a steamer to clean the clothes and have to make sure the clothes aren't dirty or have holes in the clothes. Most of the time we have to make sure the clothes are high quality. There some clothes that still have the clothing tag still on the clothes.
Well, I mostly go to shops like Bershka, Alcott or Italian shops; talking about accessories, I love Claire's, it's the perfect place for my emo/pastel goth self haha And last but not least, as online shops my favs are Hot Topic, EMP and the good old Amazon lol
