Personally i would edit the design though, Barroth are like sabertoothed walrus I think a variant living in desert that rides on the wind currents would have less pronounced spikes and tusks, they dont need them for traversal in a desert. Maybe just smaller sabers for the killing of prey. But more fur like a frostfang could be interesting like a camel for the cold winds when its night. Or something else tied to shedding heat. Bare skin isnt good.

canonically this will never happen. Neither Ukanlos nor Akantor can survive in the respective Enviroment of their "rival". Especially Ukanlos needs the cold so if it migrates to warmer places it dies quickly :P BUT... alternate evolution paths for both so they can survive in a "neutral" enviroment? hmm :P
Really good point with gammoth. Maybe we'll finally see super big monsters that aren't elders just running around on normal maps now. Imagine fighting some kinda gigantic centipede or bird on a normal map. That'd feel straight outta jurassic park, and I REALLY hope they add other huge monsters now.

bazelgueeze would be awesome to get as an ambush again, nergigante i would love if they make him an invader imagine ur fighting a teostra then suddenly nerg shows up and now both u and the teostra gotta drive him off maybe make it a mechanic where if u wanna hunt a nerg u can lure it to an elder so u can fight it togheter, rajang been in both world and rise and its pretty popular so yea, deviljho would be awesome to observe as he just goes around and attacks everything in sight, i wanna see a pack of zinogres howling at the moon togheter, great jaggi and jagras would be a nice early monster, a lagiacrus fight in water would be so cool, banbaro and durambaros would be a good adition especialy with how big the maps are id love to see them
Yama Tsukami I feel could make sense as a Kulve Taroth type hunt like there is in MHW. Seeing a return of an idea similar to Zenith monsters would be cool, too
There's 3 things I want to say. 1.: I think it's to soon to include monsters from other biomes in here. As much as I would love to fight Zamtrios and such. Who knows if the Ice Zone is going to be as big as the Showcased Desert one. 2.: If Capcom is going to deliver Gigantic maps, I would love to see both Teostra and Lunastra again. They had a unique combination that worked in MH:World but I feel if they bring Gigantic maps, Teostra and Lunastra fights would be more epic as they can exaggerated with their movesets. 3: Even though this Monster doesn't really fit in any of the biomes yet... Somehow I could see Vaal'Hazak making it's return. Vaal'Hazak's hazards made 1 part of MH:World's maps full of well gass and hazards. I couldn't see why the dev's could suddenly unleash a whole bunch of gass and hazards to announce that "Vaal'Hazak appeared". As the game is focussing a lot on environmental impact! Alatreon, Fatalis and (my personal favorite) Bazelgeuse could return as well! But I am actually more excited to see what new Monsters they can come up with!
I hope that Gammoth, Monoblos, Plesioth, Duramboros, Qurupeco, and the Seltas Duet get a chance for return in Wilds. Overall, we'll never know till we see some further announcements next year.
Agree 100% with every monster that you listed on here, but I'd love to see them revive some more Frontier monsters or even variants of them. Pokaradon is one that comes to mind, especially if the leviathan skeleton is brought into the 6th gen, but if he comes then so too does the little adorable Pokara seals that you see in the camp on the Glacial Sea!
I really wanna see Qurupeco come back. Tri was my first game so the memories, but also his calls would be so call in a diverse ecosystem. Plus Crimson is one of my all time favourite Subspecies
I think Gammoth is basically guaranteed to return because of the pattern they've been following with the Fated Four Iceborne - Glavenus Rise - Mizutsune Sunbreak - Astalos Wilds - Gammoth Then in the inevitable Wilds expansion, they could have all four of them show up to round it all out
If I were to make some suggestions/nominations/wishlist I'd pick; Monoblos (Gen 1), Congalala (Gen 2), Qurupeco (Gen 3), Najarala (Gen 4), Odogaron (Gen 5, World), Goss Harag (Gen 5, Rise), and "Slappy Hands Golf Sand Trap Boy" Gasurabazura (Frontier). Also we might Hollow might be right, there may not be a Palico. I say that because I'm hoping that instead comes the return of Shakalaka companions.
The number one game I'm hyped for, been playing the series since MH1 on PS2. I even started up a new MHW playthrough even though I have 1000+ hrs in it because the game is popping right now.
I honestly would probably put aptonoths on my list happily. Sounds silly but they seriously hold such a weirdly special place in my heart from my time playing the original Monster Hunter as a kid. I spent so many dozens of hours in the forest and hills' zone 1 with the aptonoths cooking well done steaks or just hanging out with them to avoid the bigger monsters. I felt their absence big time in rise and sunbreak, I miss my buddies.
Considering in lore the gammoth we meet are females who are more passive and smaller than males who are not allowed to be quests given to hunters because of their dangerousness.
Unpopular choice, but Basarios would fit perfectly! His rock camouflage would work much better, and would lead to funny moments where hunters cannot find the target Basarios and try hitting random rocks. Or moments where while travelling between zones the hunter gets jumpscared by a rock turning out to be a Basarios.
If they will have basarios, they also better add its adult counterpart Gravios. This will make sense since we will need a rival for akantor and the best monster I can think of that can fill that role is Gravios
Hear me out...Bloodbath Diablos! He would not only fit perfect in the desert from the wilds trailer, he would also fit the unexplored feeling because Bloodbath Diablos are rare occurrences, on top of that Bloodbaths red glow would look AMAZING in the sandstorms along with his eyes!. Overall Bloodbath would be a tremendous addition to Wilds especially if we're talking a good hunt!
Keep creating ideas for monster hunter. The more we make the more likely capcom is able to see it and possibly use it. With that said you missed dalamadur. Dalamadur NEEDS a return. After all he was teased in monster hunter world with the rotten vale, it would be most the map in wilds.
Pretty solid list overall. I would like for Odogaron, Deviljho and Savage Jho, Vaal Hazak, Nergigante, Gore Magala and also deviant monsters to return (PROPERLY THIS TIME). Also I would like it if Capcom reclassified monsters like Nakarkos and Yama Tsukami into a new group (call them krakens or something). I never liked how those two just got labeled as elder dragons when they clearly are not dragons in the least. They’re oversized calamari, not reptiles.
I can agree with those 10, allthough so far Capcom was uncabable to make any Priscine Wyvern fun to fight. Also I would love to have Malfestio back, I was very dissapointed, when the owl did not return to Sunbreak, it would have fitted perfectly into Sunbreak imo.
I do sorta have a nitpick with the idea of putting Siege/Monsters that have their own map on Wilds giant open world map. Like the reason those monsters have their own map is because they're special and Unique, so just plopping them in with regular monsters sorta makes them less special, in my opinion.
Although I'd love to see upscaled modern versions of some of the endgame Elders, they are a struggle to bring back since they tend to be so deeply tied to their arenas. Makes me feel the only way they could return is with their arena, as it would just feel strange to fight them in an ordinary area. In Iceborne they did bring back Fatalis and Castle Schrade, so it does show it is possible to bring some of these Elders back. But I doubt they could all be brought back as it would be a lot of work, reworking the Elder and their arena to make use of the modern day movement available. Honestly the only way I'd see a lot of these older huge Elders returning was if we get a "Generations 2" game somewhere down the line.
Idk the name of the monster But the one where your riding in the dessert on a ship and shooting it down and breaking the 2 tusks in the front definitely should return in this game
Agnaktor, Seltases, Gigginox, Gammoth, Quropeco, Duramboros, Ahtal-Ka, Bracydios, Nerscylla, Testucabra, and pretty much anything that isn't really a basic wyvern really. I also really hope that they finally remove the weird restriction of World-type weapons being bone-iron designs if any of the World monsters with those designs come back.
Espinas, flaming, hopefully it’s rare species & his buddies from frontier for certain, at least the ones that are more grounded lol. Akantor, Ukanlos, Bazelgeuse, & Deviljho definitely. Though I’d realistically prefer to see more new monsters than returning to make things fresh, I really want a spinosaurus brute wyvern!!!
Another monster who I think we should see could be none other than Gravios. We saw only Basarios in Rise, so I feel that seeing his adult form would be a satisfying choice to see an updated version of this big guy and whatever the modern engine could provide for his attacks and maybe some entirely new ones to spice it up. Definitely a beast something befitting for the later parts of Wilds either in the main game or perhaps later on down the line.
one thing i wonder about games is how hunts work if it is open world like is it gonna be where we take quests and the monsters just spawn somewhere and we gotta track it down or do they have spawn cycles i did have this cool idea where monsters have like territories same as animals do in real life so you can just see predators having sections of the map and herbivores roaming in herds or scavengers moving spot to spot like imagine how cool it would be if there was a spot on the map that is just labeled rath territory and its like filled with rathalos or rathian or two monster's having converging territories and thats what causes terf wars and like there are different outcomes depending on the health of a monster or the weather and then there could be a badlands spot filled with elder dragons there are just so many possibilities with the open world concept
With the first trailer specifically showing off a sandstorm wrought with lightning, I hope they've expended the weather system from World. I'm imagining rather than seeing Kushala in the locale and the weather labeled as "unknown", we get a forecast like "sandstorm-afternoon" and when you set out there's a chance it's a naturally occurring sandstorm or it could be an invading Kushala. I'd love to be more terrified of Elders, and it'd give more variety to invaders (so it isn't just jho monke and bazelbro again)
I would want odogaron and lunagaron to come back just to see them fight. Nergigante because he like a badass hero. Lagiacrus because my monster hunter game was tri and would like underwater combat again.
I feel like Ahtal-Ka and Kulve Taroth are potential shoe-ins and siege-likes as you mention for a game this massive. Especially with the giant, open area, I can see Ahtal-Ka having an INSANE updated moveset
If leviathan monsters are in this game, I'd like to see Barlagual make a return. The "whip bat" Zenaserisu would also be a good choice. Definitely two of the more unique Frontier monsters.
With most my heart and soul I hope they bring back Gogmazios. Not only did he have amazing weapon designs, but his fight as a whole I think would fit very well in an open world game. And tar isn't to uncommon in Africa.
If they do bring back gamoth we could maby get a sub species as well. Like they did for glav. Lets say a blast variant that is in the dessert. Since you know dust explosions are a thing and i imagine its fur collects a lot of dust that can be shaken loose durring a fight.
Ok before starting the video, one thing I am a little concerned about is the elder dragons. Wasnt the whole reason for the elder dragons in the New World Nergigante and Zorah Magdaros' presence? I might misremember. But with our main guy "handling" it during World, why would there even be the usual suspects (Kushala, Teostra, etc.) in the New World? I understand Velkhana would be there as it has apparently always been there, but I am a little concerned (and maybe also excited to an extent) that we might get a whole new batch of Elder Dragons.
Akantor Vs. Ukanlos will be the G-Zilla Vs. Ghidora in king of the monsters for me. Depending on your choices in game, you get to fight alongside either monster to slay the other. Ahere at the end of the fight, Akantor/Ukanlos rewards you with an egg of their off spring, so you can ride them after being hatched.
I really think Nergigante really needs to be in Wilds bc he's and unstoppable awesome and baddass looking monster and fight my fav monster of all time and the fact that he didn't get added in Sunbreak was such a letdown also the fact they added just velky in Sunbreak is weird in my book Nergigante would have been just fine being added to tu4 along with velky and risen glow valstrax there that's my take
If Plesioth shows up as much as I hate him. I need him to have broken hit boxes. People need to understand the pain. If he doesn't hit me with a Hip check from the complete opposite side of him I'll be disappointed😅
Having an already established area of the map transformed by a nerscylla moving in for a rank switch would be amazing for the theme the game seems to have
from returning monster I only have one request and it's gogmazios cause he's insanely cool, but what I rlly wanted to see is a new/improved system of predatory species, like monsters attacking u out of no where or witnessing a monster chasing a pack of smaller monsters, but what I REALLY wanted to see that I don't think ever happened on MH before is a stalker monster both in land, air and maybe water that blends in with the environment and slowly approaches u. Something like: for land u have to be extra carefull with your surroundings, and for monsters in the air u would eventually see their massive shadow right on top of u.
other than certain Frontier monsters (I really like Gurenbazura and want it in main series after fighting it.) I really hope Lao-Shan Lung shows up, I'd love to run up to mountains and just see a Lao-Shan Lung just walking around as I have to decide how and even if I'm prepared with enough resources to kill the thing.
The scene of the large monsters hunting herbivores in a pack really makes me hope we get ecology stuff happening in game. Imagine a nerscylla hunting a gypceros and then putting on its skin. Or maybe Zamites need to hunt a monster in order to grow into zamtrios because they need more blood than they could get from a hunter. I’m kind of hoping they actually do a breath of the wild thing for this game. Imagine there being a couple spots around the Maps where you can fight those giant flying wyverns. My main reason for thinking it won’t be open world is how would you implement farming? The devs might think that they need to stick to the formula of drop in, hunt, return to base, so that players can farm for materials. But I honestly think that if they just tweak drop rates and what’s required to build an upgrade weapons and armor then it would work out just fine. You could set your scout flies to search for the type of monster you’re farming and they could point you to the nearest one within range sort of like the sensor in breath of the wild. It would also encourage players to hunt monsters in more than one spot. Rather than doing the same Rathalos hunt in the same zone over and over because you know where it spawns in that fight and it’s the easiest one, you’d have to hunt him in all of his different locations, adding more variety to the fights in a simple way.
I keep thinking of something like Dah'ren Mohran being able to fit somewhere in the game because they could set it in the dune like area we see in the background of the final shot of the Wilds trailer.
They are not likely to bring underwater combat but you can give lagiacruse a grapple move where he grabs your hunter and drag you under water like a gator and you have to struggle to get free.
Since this trailer had such a focus on lightning why not a White Fatalis boss fight on the new game. Fighting vs a Old Dragon God on a new gen game sounds fucking nuts even more so if the game is realy a open world the arenas/areas we fight monsters like Fatalis could be huge, giving another trick up their sleeve to these god like monsters, like white fatalis being able to turn invisible in a lightning storm or receving less damage in a lightning storm and lets be real who dosen't want a rematch vs white or crimson Fatalis
Not going to lie I wouldn't mind seeing Gammoth return in Wilds or even since there's the speculation from Cotton that Wilds is based on Africa that we get a subspecies of Gammoth that is based off the African Elephant instead of a mammoth
seltas and the queen would be amazing, it's such a unique fight and it also includes one of the most creative pre gen 5 subspecies. i would also love for this to be an excuse to give us a new scroption like monster using the seltas queen skeleton. having more seltas in a hunt could be fun but it would be a crime for the base monster to get desert seltas queen's main gimmick so we may never get that subspecies again if it happens. things like green nargacuga are worthless but losing desert seltas/desert seltas queen would be tragic. all they would have to do to fix the plesioth hit boxes are have his tail hang down for the tail swipe, like in i think it was MH3's version, and have him sort of crouch for the hip check. but since fatalis came back many times before getting fixed i have my doubts. it would still be a bit funny to get the original janky plesioth in modern games though. yeah, he knows the lightning does nothing to him but if you don't know that he'll get you. that's pretty great. yep, gammoth will fit in these zones so we could get her guarding the popo herds and maybe a sort of normal elephant subspecies. i really want fun subspecies for the other fated 4 because acidic glavenus was awesome. i've always said that the best flagship shape for 6th gen would be a snake wyvern to say that next gen tech fixed the issues that 5th gen games couldn't overcome. najarala would also be there too, ideally, with some new snakes to give us more variety for that skeleton. yeah the not flying wyverns would also fit in these zones, early concept art for the elder's recess had akantor raoming around it but there's not way in hell he'd fit in the map we got in World. yeah, the coral highlands had updrafts for the glider mantle so a zone with those for the new mount would be perfect for yama tsukami. dire miralis would be a siege anyway, the way he works is he has to be in water to cool off so we'd need a way to hit him when he's in the water. i've said, since rise that boats and wire bugs could fix that when he's in the water. for this i guess some powerful fans for updrafts so the mount gets on him like the whales or something. he's awkward without underwater combat. monoblos needs a rework, an almost full redesign like lunastra, to make him stand on his own apart from diablos as a fight. let him fly more so he can mix digging and flying dives or something. yep, the tree destruction physics being part of duramboros' moveset, so if contextually he knocks one over it becomes part of the attack hit box. we need zamtrios man, he's so awesome.
Honestly, the series as a whole has such a large roster at this point that i wouldn't mind them toning down the new monsters inclusions to focus more on creating these huge environments, and bringing back old monsters. And when doing so, i also hope they choose the right picks, especially for starting and mid-tier monsters that can often be a let down in some of the games. They sould definitely pick some fourth gen ones like Tetsucabra, Great Maccao, Zamtrios or Nerscylla.

If Dire Miralis was gonna be added to Wilds, I’d like to see his open area gimmick to be like Bowser in Bowser’s Fury, spitting fire balls, traversing throughout the map, causing the sky to go red, and with enough time, you can enter an area of the map where you can fight him.

As a first game vet, i want lao back badly. I want him to have a fight that fully realizes how strong he could be. Also, it'd be cool if he had a unique armor set, since he didn't have one before.
A big snake monster wouod fit too from this sudden sandstorm frimmit being a big kinda snake causing this sand storm by emerging from the ground or dig thru it
An idea I want. I don’t want elder dragons to only be behind quests. I wanna go on a level 1 mission and just find an alatreon wandering around! It’s like a 1 in 5000 chance. But it’s there. It’s possible. And I want them to fight each other more
The problem with dire Miralis is and was that it constantly needs to cool it’s body cause of the immense heat. But technically if underwater came back, it would be possible
As someone who started with MHtri, I'd like to see most of the monsters featured in there make a return, like great jaggi, who was teased in rise, of course Lagiacrus, and to add to water monsters, my sweet little puffball gobul, also gigginox needs to make a return
I am still going to die on the hill that we need and it would fit perfectly for Wilds to create a new monster based on Spinosaurus since it seems like it's going to be a very arid area, so having a spino inspired monstie in a lush delta river zone would fit amazingly! 4:37
Frankly. I think they should make this one of the biggest monster list games ever. Adding in so many monsters and events for the monsters... along with bring back the raids from world and a sieges for others. They have the potential to do so much and bring back so many monsters and add many new ones... its crazy. With a 2025 slot I think it means there is gonna be a good list of monsters and it makes me wonder if this game will have master rank out the gate instead of waiting. I want to see so many monsters to choose from to fight hell let us right out on a huuuge map and let us travel to old towns and cities to fight monsters based in those zones with a semi open world theme... it could be a huge undertaking but the game would have such longevity that it would sell... so so so many copies.
You know, sinse seeing Uroktors in Rise, and more likely than not Wilds will be in the RE engine like Rise was. My big theory, that's probably not going to be real, is that with this being the 20th anniversary and them not releasing the game till 2025. We may or may not the the entire roaster of monsters. Maybe not all in the base game, but between the base game and expansion we may see every monster (at least from the main line series)

Maybe if deep within a volcano, you can lead akantor out, and lead ukanlos near the volcano to start a turf war

There's 3 things I want to say.
1.: I think it's to soon to include monsters from other biomes in here. As much as I would love to fight Zamtrios and such. Who knows if the Ice Zone is going to be as big as the Showcased Desert one.
2.: If Capcom is going to deliver Gigantic maps, I would love to see both Teostra and Lunastra again. They had a unique combination that worked in MH:World but I feel if they bring Gigantic maps, Teostra and Lunastra fights would be more epic as they can exaggerated with their movesets.
3: Even though this Monster doesn't really fit in any of the biomes yet... Somehow I could see Vaal'Hazak making it's return. Vaal'Hazak's hazards made 1 part of MH:World's maps full of well gass and hazards. I couldn't see why the dev's could suddenly unleash a whole bunch of gass and hazards to announce that "Vaal'Hazak appeared". As the game is focussing a lot on environmental impact!
Alatreon, Fatalis and (my personal favorite) Bazelgeuse could return as well!
But I am actually more excited to see what new Monsters they can come up with!
I'm honestly kind of surprised Dalmadur wasn't on this list considering all of the snake hints in the logo
I hope that Gammoth, Monoblos, Plesioth, Duramboros, Qurupeco, and the Seltas Duet get a chance for return in Wilds.
Overall, we'll never know till we see some further announcements next year.

Agree 100% with every monster that you listed on here, but I'd love to see them revive some more Frontier monsters or even variants of them. Pokaradon is one that comes to mind, especially if the leviathan skeleton is brought into the 6th gen, but if he comes then so too does the little adorable Pokara seals that you see in the camp on the Glacial Sea!
I really wanna see Qurupeco come back. Tri was my first game so the memories, but also his calls would be so call in a diverse ecosystem. Plus Crimson is one of my all time favourite Subspecies
I think Gammoth is basically guaranteed to return because of the pattern they've been following with the Fated Four
Iceborne - Glavenus
Rise - Mizutsune
Sunbreak - Astalos
Wilds - Gammoth
Then in the inevitable Wilds expansion, they could have all four of them show up to round it all out
Great Maccao, they could be the ultimate beginner beasty to check out. they could even elaborate on their ecology/behaviors
and Great Jaggi

If I were to make some suggestions/nominations/wishlist I'd pick; Monoblos (Gen 1), Congalala (Gen 2), Qurupeco (Gen 3), Najarala (Gen 4), Odogaron (Gen 5, World), Goss Harag (Gen 5, Rise), and "Slappy Hands Golf Sand Trap Boy" Gasurabazura (Frontier).
Also we might Hollow might be right, there may not be a Palico. I say that because I'm hoping that instead comes the return of Shakalaka companions.
The number one game I'm hyped for, been playing the series since MH1 on PS2. I even started up a new MHW playthrough even though I have 1000+ hrs in it because the game is popping right now.
I honestly would probably put aptonoths on my list happily. Sounds silly but they seriously hold such a weirdly special place in my heart from my time playing the original Monster Hunter as a kid. I spent so many dozens of hours in the forest and hills' zone 1 with the aptonoths cooking well done steaks or just hanging out with them to avoid the bigger monsters. I felt their absence big time in rise and sunbreak, I miss my buddies.
I need to see a great jaggi in the savannah with a giant horde of 10 jaggi!

Considering in lore the gammoth we meet are females who are more passive and smaller than males who are not allowed to be quests given to hunters because of their dangerousness.
Unpopular choice, but Basarios would fit perfectly! His rock camouflage would work much better, and would lead to funny moments where hunters cannot find the target Basarios and try hitting random rocks. Or moments where while travelling between zones the hunter gets jumpscared by a rock turning out to be a Basarios.
Gravios would work so well too.
GIVE ME GRAVIOS. Hey a basarios subspecies that is sandy would be really cool as well though BUT YOU CANT HAVE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER FRICK YOU RISE!!!
If they will have basarios, they also better add its adult counterpart Gravios. This will make sense since we will need a rival for akantor and the best monster I can think of that can fill that role is Gravios
Hear me out...Bloodbath Diablos! He would not only fit perfect in the desert from the wilds trailer, he would also fit the unexplored feeling because Bloodbath Diablos are rare occurrences, on top of that Bloodbaths red glow would look AMAZING in the sandstorms along with his eyes!. Overall Bloodbath would be a tremendous addition to Wilds especially if we're talking a good hunt!
Talking about Deviants, we need more NEW Deviants.

With that said you missed dalamadur. Dalamadur NEEDS a return. After all he was teased in monster hunter world with the rotten vale, it would be most the map in wilds.
Pretty solid list overall. I would like for Odogaron, Deviljho and Savage Jho, Vaal Hazak, Nergigante, Gore Magala and also deviant monsters to return (PROPERLY THIS TIME). Also I would like it if Capcom reclassified monsters like Nakarkos and Yama Tsukami into a new group (call them krakens or something). I never liked how those two just got labeled as elder dragons when they clearly are not dragons in the least. They’re oversized calamari, not reptiles.
Call them cephalids that way its obvious what they are meant to be but it's also it's own mh wording like carapaceons or picine wyverns

I can agree with those 10, allthough so far Capcom was uncabable to make any Priscine Wyvern fun to fight. Also I would love to have Malfestio back, I was very dissapointed, when the owl did not return to Sunbreak, it would have fitted perfectly into Sunbreak imo.
Beotodus is so far the coolest Piscine Wyvern so far. And yes, I was hoping Malfestio came back for Sunbreak cuz he fits the theme.
I mean, they actually made fatalis fight a lot more interesting now back in MH world. They can probably do the same thing for plesioth
I do sorta have a nitpick with the idea of putting Siege/Monsters that have their own map on Wilds giant open world map. Like the reason those monsters have their own map is because they're special and Unique, so just plopping them in with regular monsters sorta makes them less special, in my opinion.
Although I'd love to see upscaled modern versions of some of the endgame Elders, they are a struggle to bring back since they tend to be so deeply tied to their arenas. Makes me feel the only way they could return is with their arena, as it would just feel strange to fight them in an ordinary area. In Iceborne they did bring back Fatalis and Castle Schrade, so it does show it is possible to bring some of these Elders back. But I doubt they could all be brought back as it would be a lot of work, reworking the Elder and their arena to make use of the modern day movement available.
Honestly the only way I'd see a lot of these older huge Elders returning was if we get a "Generations 2" game somewhere down the line.

Agnaktor, Seltases, Gigginox, Gammoth, Quropeco, Duramboros, Ahtal-Ka, Bracydios, Nerscylla, Testucabra, and pretty much anything that isn't really a basic wyvern really.
I also really hope that they finally remove the weird restriction of World-type weapons being bone-iron designs if any of the World monsters with those designs come back.
Definitely need Akantor & Ukanlos to return, some of the best elder dragon level monsters out there (plus updated raps of them dissing each other)
Espinas, flaming, hopefully it’s rare species & his buddies from frontier for certain, at least the ones that are more grounded lol. Akantor, Ukanlos, Bazelgeuse, & Deviljho definitely.
Though I’d realistically prefer to see more new monsters than returning to make things fresh, I really want a spinosaurus brute wyvern!!!

Leviathans are my favorite monsters so I would love to see Lagi and Agnaktor. I would also love to see some new snake wyverns since there are so few.
Flagship will most likely be a colossal snake or leviathan, probably with some alien/technological attributes

Another monster who I think we should see could be none other than Gravios. We saw only Basarios in Rise, so I feel that seeing his adult form would be a satisfying choice to see an updated version of this big guy and whatever the modern engine could provide for his attacks and maybe some entirely new ones to spice it up. Definitely a beast something befitting for the later parts of Wilds either in the main game or perhaps later on down the line.
MonHun Wilds makes all the neurons activate at the same time and I don't know if that's healthy but damn does it feel good

one thing i wonder about games is how hunts work if it is open world like is it gonna be where we take quests and the monsters just spawn somewhere and we gotta track it down or do they have spawn cycles i did have this cool idea where monsters have like territories same as animals do in real life so you can just see predators having sections of the map and herbivores roaming in herds or scavengers moving spot to spot like imagine how cool it would be if there was a spot on the map that is just labeled rath territory and its like filled with rathalos or rathian or two monster's having converging territories and thats what causes terf wars and like there are different outcomes depending on the health of a monster or the weather and then there could be a badlands spot filled with elder dragons there are just so many possibilities with the open world concept
i really hop this gets seen
With the first trailer specifically showing off a sandstorm wrought with lightning, I hope they've expended the weather system from World. I'm imagining rather than seeing Kushala in the locale and the weather labeled as "unknown", we get a forecast like "sandstorm-afternoon" and when you set out there's a chance it's a naturally occurring sandstorm or it could be an invading Kushala. I'd love to be more terrified of Elders, and it'd give more variety to invaders (so it isn't just jho monke and bazelbro again)
I would want odogaron and lunagaron to come back just to see them fight. Nergigante because he like a badass hero. Lagiacrus because my monster hunter game was tri and would like underwater combat again.
I feel like Ahtal-Ka and Kulve Taroth are potential shoe-ins and siege-likes as you mention for a game this massive. Especially with the giant, open area, I can see Ahtal-Ka having an INSANE updated moveset
If leviathan monsters are in this game, I'd like to see Barlagual make a return. The "whip bat" Zenaserisu would also be a good choice. Definitely two of the more unique Frontier monsters.
With most my heart and soul I hope they bring back Gogmazios. Not only did he have amazing weapon designs, but his fight as a whole I think would fit very well in an open world game. And tar isn't to uncommon in Africa.

If they do bring back gamoth we could maby get a sub species as well. Like they did for glav. Lets say a blast variant that is in the dessert. Since you know dust explosions are a thing and i imagine its fur collects a lot of dust that can be shaken loose durring a fight.

Ok before starting the video, one thing I am a little concerned about is the elder dragons. Wasnt the whole reason for the elder dragons in the New World Nergigante and Zorah Magdaros' presence? I might misremember. But with our main guy "handling" it during World, why would there even be the usual suspects (Kushala, Teostra, etc.) in the New World?
I understand Velkhana would be there as it has apparently always been there, but I am a little concerned (and maybe also excited to an extent) that we might get a whole new batch of Elder Dragons.
Or maybe dragons from Frontier could finally appear. Maybe Deviant versions of the previous dragons may appear as well.

Akantor Vs. Ukanlos will be the G-Zilla Vs. Ghidora in king of the monsters for me. Depending on your choices in game, you get to fight alongside either monster to slay the other. Ahere at the end of the fight, Akantor/Ukanlos rewards you with an egg of their off spring, so you can ride them after being hatched.

I really think Nergigante really needs to be in Wilds bc he's and unstoppable awesome and baddass looking monster and fight my fav monster of all time and the fact that he didn't get added in Sunbreak was such a letdown also the fact they added just velky in Sunbreak is weird in my book Nergigante would have been just fine being added to tu4 along with velky and risen glow valstrax there that's my take
If Plesioth shows up as much as I hate him. I need him to have broken hit boxes. People need to understand the pain. If he doesn't hit me with a Hip check from the complete opposite side of him I'll be disappointed😅
Having an already established area of the map transformed by a nerscylla moving in for a rank switch would be amazing for the theme the game seems to have
from returning monster I only have one request and it's gogmazios cause he's insanely cool, but what I rlly wanted to see is a new/improved system of predatory species, like monsters attacking u out of no where or witnessing a monster chasing a pack of smaller monsters, but what I REALLY wanted to see that I don't think ever happened on MH before is a stalker monster both in land, air and maybe water that blends in with the environment and slowly approaches u. Something like: for land u have to be extra carefull with your surroundings, and for monsters in the air u would eventually see their massive shadow right on top of u.

other than certain Frontier monsters (I really like Gurenbazura and want it in main series after fighting it.) I really hope Lao-Shan Lung shows up, I'd love to run up to mountains and just see a Lao-Shan Lung just walking around as I have to decide how and even if I'm prepared with enough resources to kill the thing.
The scene of the large monsters hunting herbivores in a pack really makes me hope we get ecology stuff happening in game. Imagine a nerscylla hunting a gypceros and then putting on its skin. Or maybe Zamites need to hunt a monster in order to grow into zamtrios because they need more blood than they could get from a hunter. I’m kind of hoping they actually do a breath of the wild thing for this game. Imagine there being a couple spots around the Maps where you can fight those giant flying wyverns.
My main reason for thinking it won’t be open world is how would you implement farming? The devs might think that they need to stick to the formula of drop in, hunt, return to base, so that players can farm for materials. But I honestly think that if they just tweak drop rates and what’s required to build an upgrade weapons and armor then it would work out just fine. You could set your scout flies to search for the type of monster you’re farming and they could point you to the nearest one within range sort of like the sensor in breath of the wild. It would also encourage players to hunt monsters in more than one spot. Rather than doing the same Rathalos hunt in the same zone over and over because you know where it spawns in that fight and it’s the easiest one, you’d have to hunt him in all of his different locations, adding more variety to the fights in a simple way.
I keep thinking of something like Dah'ren Mohran being able to fit somewhere in the game because they could set it in the dune like area we see in the background of the final shot of the Wilds trailer.
They are not likely to bring underwater combat but you can give lagiacruse a grapple move where he grabs your hunter and drag you under water like a gator and you have to struggle to get free.
Since this trailer had such a focus on lightning why not a White Fatalis boss fight on the new game. Fighting vs a Old Dragon God on a new gen game sounds fucking nuts even more so if the game is realy a open world the arenas/areas we fight monsters like Fatalis could be huge, giving another trick up their sleeve to these god like monsters, like white fatalis being able to turn invisible in a lightning storm or receving less damage in a lightning storm and lets be real who dosen't want a rematch vs white or crimson Fatalis
Not going to lie I wouldn't mind seeing Gammoth return in Wilds or even since there's the speculation from Cotton that Wilds is based on Africa that we get a subspecies of Gammoth that is based off the African Elephant instead of a mammoth

It does make me wonder if the favorite monster poll was them looking for monsters people love so they can add them to Wilds.
seltas and the queen would be amazing, it's such a unique fight and it also includes one of the most creative pre gen 5 subspecies. i would also love for this to be an excuse to give us a new scroption like monster using the seltas queen skeleton. having more seltas in a hunt could be fun but it would be a crime for the base monster to get desert seltas queen's main gimmick so we may never get that subspecies again if it happens. things like green nargacuga are worthless but losing desert seltas/desert seltas queen would be tragic.
all they would have to do to fix the plesioth hit boxes are have his tail hang down for the tail swipe, like in i think it was MH3's version, and have him sort of crouch for the hip check. but since fatalis came back many times before getting fixed i have my doubts. it would still be a bit funny to get the original janky plesioth in modern games though.
yeah, he knows the lightning does nothing to him but if you don't know that he'll get you. that's pretty great.
yep, gammoth will fit in these zones so we could get her guarding the popo herds and maybe a sort of normal elephant subspecies. i really want fun subspecies for the other fated 4 because acidic glavenus was awesome.
i've always said that the best flagship shape for 6th gen would be a snake wyvern to say that next gen tech fixed the issues that 5th gen games couldn't overcome. najarala would also be there too, ideally, with some new snakes to give us more variety for that skeleton.
yeah the not flying wyverns would also fit in these zones, early concept art for the elder's recess had akantor raoming around it but there's not way in hell he'd fit in the map we got in World.
yeah, the coral highlands had updrafts for the glider mantle so a zone with those for the new mount would be perfect for yama tsukami.
dire miralis would be a siege anyway, the way he works is he has to be in water to cool off so we'd need a way to hit him when he's in the water. i've said, since rise that boats and wire bugs could fix that when he's in the water. for this i guess some powerful fans for updrafts so the mount gets on him like the whales or something. he's awkward without underwater combat.
monoblos needs a rework, an almost full redesign like lunastra, to make him stand on his own apart from diablos as a fight. let him fly more so he can mix digging and flying dives or something.
yep, the tree destruction physics being part of duramboros' moveset, so if contextually he knocks one over it becomes part of the attack hit box. we need zamtrios man, he's so awesome.

Honestly, the series as a whole has such a large roster at this point that i wouldn't mind them toning down the new monsters inclusions to focus more on creating these huge environments, and bringing back old monsters. And when doing so, i also hope they choose the right picks, especially for starting and mid-tier monsters that can often be a let down in some of the games. They sould definitely pick some fourth gen ones like Tetsucabra, Great Maccao, Zamtrios or Nerscylla.
Base games in MH normaly only have a roster of 30-50 large Monsters.
Base Tri only had 18 large Monsters.
Looking at that logo again, I wonder if Wilds might be more Australia themed and have use fight a Rainbow Serpent. That could be amazing.
Imagine kirin being added to the game only to get completely countered by the pangolin monsters.

If Dire Miralis was gonna be added to Wilds, I’d like to see his open area gimmick to be like Bowser in Bowser’s Fury, spitting fire balls, traversing throughout the map, causing the sky to go red, and with enough time, you can enter an area of the map where you can fight him.

VERY unlikely, but I want all of the monsters back. It makes sense for an anniversary game, in my opinion. I can see why they wouldn’t, though; that’d be a LOT!

As a first game vet, i want lao back badly. I want him to have a fight that fully realizes how strong he could be. Also, it'd be cool if he had a unique armor set, since he didn't have one before.
Don't know about you, but the monster hunter devs should add that three-headed monster that shoots lightning the Admiral was talking about.
A big snake monster wouod fit too from this sudden sandstorm frimmit being a big kinda snake causing this sand storm by emerging from the ground or dig thru it

The problem with dire Miralis is and was that it constantly needs to cool it’s body cause of the immense heat. But technically if underwater came back, it would be possible

As someone who started with MHtri, I'd like to see most of the monsters featured in there make a return, like great jaggi, who was teased in rise, of course Lagiacrus, and to add to water monsters, my sweet little puffball gobul, also gigginox needs to make a return
I am still going to die on the hill that we need and it would fit perfectly for Wilds to create a new monster based on Spinosaurus since it seems like it's going to be a very arid area, so having a spino inspired monstie in a lush delta river zone would fit amazingly! 4:37
Frankly. I think they should make this one of the biggest monster list games ever. Adding in so many monsters and events for the monsters... along with bring back the raids from world and a sieges for others. They have the potential to do so much and bring back so many monsters and add many new ones... its crazy. With a 2025 slot I think it means there is gonna be a good list of monsters and it makes me wonder if this game will have master rank out the gate instead of waiting. I want to see so many monsters to choose from to fight hell let us right out on a huuuge map and let us travel to old towns and cities to fight monsters based in those zones with a semi open world theme... it could be a huge undertaking but the game would have such longevity that it would sell... so so so many copies.
You know, sinse seeing Uroktors in Rise, and more likely than not Wilds will be in the RE engine like Rise was.
My big theory, that's probably not going to be real, is that with this being the 20th anniversary and them not releasing the game till 2025. We may or may not the the entire roaster of monsters. Maybe not all in the base game, but between the base game and expansion we may see every monster (at least from the main line series)
