  • Listen to Ryan Cavanaugh play a killer instrumental version of the traditional Appalachian folk song composed by Bascom Lamar Lunsford and Scotty Wiseman on a new Deering Sierra Maple 5-String banjo. Ryan plays it straight ahead with traditional bluegrass drive and takes it up the neck with some of the modern single-string style that Ryan is known for.
The Deering Sierra banjo is the flagship upperline model for Deering with everything you need tonally. It comes standard as a mahogany necked banjo, but this one features a maple neck, giving the banjo more punch and brightness.

    Git r done!
Y know, that song dates back long before the Mountain Dew soft drink was made. Ive often wondered why the company that makes it (is it a Pepsi or Coke product?) doesn't use this song in commercials for that drink.
