After watching these videos, I went out to a humane society about an hour away and rescued an older dog that was abandoned by his owners on the side of a road. He had been living ar the humane society for the past several months (thankfully they weren't high kill). I didn't do any browsing online for any dogs- I just went there. They only had about 10 some dogs, but one of those was my baby. He was really shy at first and didn't go near me but I rescued him anyways (:p). The day I brought him home was a very happy day for the both of us. It's been several weeks and we are both pretty much in sync. At first I did have some doubts and anxiety about having a dog, but now I don't know what I'd do without him. Please, go rescue a dog. Don't just pick them out on their looks or immediate personality. They will change your life for the better. I promise :)

Ashé Ashmin You are amazing. My dog is a Bugg, (Pug Boston terrier mix) and my family also picked her out from a shelter called RAL. They don't generally get delivered dogs, they get dogs from high kill shelters that can't keep them anymore. My dog, who's name is Pippy, was picked up by animal control, brought to a killing shelter, and then given to RAL. She was only there for one day, but we didn't think she would be adopted by anyone. Because of her breed and eye condition, (called cherry eye) we didn't think most other people would want her. So we brought her home. She has been happy with us for about a month now. I encourage people to not pick out dogs for their looks, or the type of breed they are. I think it's their personality that should matter.

She reminds me so much of a boxer I had called Spice … loving, sweet natured and very observant and go with the flow. Love hugs and kisses!! You guys are awesome!! And through this pandemic it’s been hard to get any support!! I adopt mine and support local rescues as much as I can (in SC). I honestly wish there were more people like you guys!!

William Riordan Actually, Pit Bulls aren't even in the top 5 most aggressive breeds. Dalmatians and German Shepherds are, on average, more aggressive than a Pit. The only reason Pits are regarded as more dangerous is because they became the most most popular breed for dog fights. Really, Pits aren't any different from any other dog breed.
William Riordan isn't it more the capacity to be aggressive? Not actually aggressive. I think a massive factor is the way humans handle them. Unfortunately alot of them are raised to be more aggressive its really sad :/
William Riordan According to my research, and actual working with them. Small dogs are A LOT more aggressive than any large dog. The reason most lists don't show this on the internet is because they aren't that dangerous, and people just find angry chihuahuas cute.
