Honestly Dillon, your hatred for Rachel is making you blind.
Rachel wasn't a bully, she was just self-centered and spoiled and that's why people didn't like her, but somehow you thought it would make sense to question whether a character with a bad personality could mature with the topic of whether or not r*pists could be forgiven.
Watching reactions to Friends should be something light and fun, but you manage weigh down the atmosphere with these unnecessary comments that can even be triggering for some people in your audience.

So true. The other day I watched someone else reacting to an episode and I smiled the whole time, in the end I was left actually happy. Here the friends reactions more often than not leave me stressed, and even needing to watch something else to fix it. So what's the point really. Can't even defend him saying the criticism is enlightening as it's mostly rage.

Never understood the hate over rachel tbh 🤣 she was spoiled at the beginning, but that was about it, and she had the biggest growth in the show. I mean all the characters have done certain things and behaved in certain ways. But i wouldn't say i hate, or even dislike any of them. They're all regular people, flaws and all. I just think people like to talk sh!t for the sake of it these days. When people call them "toxic" that makes me laugh the most. Do they even know what that means? There's toxic and regular flawed people... Two VERY different things 😂

Really? How about trying to ruin Ross’ relationships and her only wanting him when he is with someone else. She went with a guy even though her friend liked him. I could go on. She is the worst kind of woman. Absolutely toxic to any half decent man who would show an interest.

@stevengoddard7685 but he did shit equally as messed up in return. Just human being humans. We don't always act rationally, or always in the right way. But throwing toxic around is just stupid. The obsession is turning out a bit toxic. While it's one thing to have an opinion but pestering one character at every turn is special kinda obsession. One should watch the show to enjoy and be entertained. A lot of these reactions from Dillon seems forced and it seems pretty evident that he is sitting through these episodes unwillingly. If you don’t like the show anymore just don’t watch it. A lot of jokes and moments go unnoticed. Just an observation that i have had since last couple of seasons. I agree that a grown woman with an underage boy is just as bad as if the sexes were reversed, that joke definitely didn’t age well, but saying that men have it hard these days is absolutely not true. Women have been (and still are) marginalized in so many ways and we are very far from equality. I’m a woman who lives in a country where sex violence is so bad that we literally can’t go out by ourselves at night and have to take so many other precautions because the chances of getting KIDNAPPED, RAPED, or very violently MURDERED (or all three) are very high. And the worst part is that there are places where women have it even worse. Just think about whether you've ever had to worry about your sex determining whether you get a job or promotion, how likely it is for you to be raped, kidnapped, murdered or violated or diminished in any other way BECAUSE OF YOUR SEX, etc. I know that it hurts men’s ego that woman are finally standing up for themselves and calling men out for their bullshit, but it really pisses me off when men play victim instead of being an ally. There is absolutely still a significant power inbalance. And I know I’m being harsh but it’s the truth.
I honestly think Dillon is a great guy and believes in equality for the sexes; I enjoy Dillon’s reactions, agree with a lot of his points of view, and understand where he’s coming from even when I don’t agree, but I just really felt like I needed to express my disagreement. And like I said, the joke was definitely problematic and I understand why it made Dillon angry, but women and other marginalized groups of people have had it MUCH WORSE not only in terms of jokes but just in life. So no, it’s not tough for men these days, it’s just always been way too easy for men to get away with horrible stuff and they’re finally starting to see consequences in some places, but we’re still far from living in a society for all. And I want to emphasize that I'm really not doing this just to throw hate out there, I've been watching Dillon for a long time (and will continue to watch him) and I've come to really care about the youtubers I watch, so I'm writing this just in the very unlikely case that he or any other man reads it and takes something away from it. I really wouldn't be wasting my time writing this if I didn't think there was the slightest chance it could help at least one man begin to understand this issue.
On the topic of bullying, it is definitely horrible and I bet Dillon has very close experiences with it and that’s why he feels so strongly about it. And yes it can scar you for life, but only if you let it. You can also not only heal from it but also become a much better person from it. Like you guys said most bullies have no idea how much pain they inflict and don’t even remember what they did, but then that’s the exact reason why healing is up to YOU and forgiveness is up to YOU. You don’t forgive someone to make THEM feel better, you forgive someone so that YOU can let go of that grudge and pain inside you and have inner peace, because most of the time it won’t make a difference to the person who hurt you, they won’t have any idea just how much your hurting and how long you’ve been hurting so you forgive so that YOU can finally have inner peace. And to bring it back to the episode, clearly Brad Pitt’s character is still holding a grudge and has a lot of hatred inside him, and what’s best for him is to forgive because that will bring healing and inner peace.
And lastly, I agree with many of the comments that Dillon’s being too harsh on Rachel and it’s getting silly, but that’s been said many times already so it’s not worth adding anything to it.

Been waiting for the reaction to this specific episode!! It is my favourite for so many reasons. People seem to forget that kids are kids, not perfect wise old sages, and the reason everyone never forgets what happened to them in high school is because that is when and where kids really start to learn about the real world, which really does contain a whole spectrum of nasty individuals that like it or not will have to be dealt with. It is where kids first start experimenting with adult type interactions, the good and the bad, and the good experiences leave as significant and permanent a memory and a mark as the bad ones. That’s what significant life lessons and experiences are supposed to do. If you grow up in a perfect school system with nothing but perfectly behaved people you will learn nothing and be completely unprepared to function in the real world. If you learn nothing from either being bullied or being the bully, and carry those roles on into adulthood, then you deserve whatever comes to you acting that way as an adult. But kids experimenting with roles is essential to becoming a better person. It is true that if you aren’t making mistakes then you aren’t learning a thing. So let kids be kids and make the mistakes, because they will remember the lessons from high school and that is what will develop the skills needed to cope with being an actual adult. I think this episode does a good job of portraying those unfortunate high school experiences that we all have to some degree or another in a “look back and laugh” way, which is the sign of a healthy adult.

Keep in mind that sometimes the reason a bully doesn't remember their bullying is because they're busy remembering the pain that was being inflicted on them. Obviously this is not the case with all bullies. I was bullied before and I will never forget growing up and finding out the horror that that kid had been experiencing in their own home growing up. I had no idea. It didn't make my trauma go away or undo what they did but I realize they had their own monster hurting them too. Hurt people hurt people and while there is NO excuse for bullying (although Rachel wasn't a bully) sometimes kids are simply emitting the pain that's being inflicting on them.

I love what Tania said about forgiving and moving on from bullying. I agree with Dillon about the killing mentally part, I still suffer the consequences from my own nearly 20 years later. But no one can turn back time, and we all do things we regret. If someone change, and apologize, why hold on to hatred when the only one that truly suffers from that hate, is you? Forgiving people is more about your own mental health than it is about making life easier for the other person. Though it takes a lot of time and effort on your own part to move past it. Those that forget what they did are not worth your time, but those that remember and regret, there's no point in holding on to it because it'll take away from your future. By letting go, you take back the control they once stole from you.
So while I do agree with Dillon, I also truly admire Tania's words and standpoint. Respect!!! 🥰🥰🥰

You have to remember that Rachel was brought up by two absolutely awful parents. They spoilt their daughters and taught them no morals.. if you do that to someone they aren’t going to be a great person growing up. Her sisters still act spoilt. Rachel has grown as a character and has worked for a good job when she could’ve just lived off her Dad and married Barry. She’s not a bad character, you can’t see past it due to your hatred of her
Ross is far worse of a character

Hey I agree, Rachel is not a nice person and Ross should've married Julie! She is a sweetheart. Rachel is just a drama queen who values some little things that in real life mean nothing. She broke up with Ross because he cheated, alright that's fair, but then she went on a crusade against every relationship he would ever have, even if she was in one herself! And what I said in this comment is just the tip of the Rachelberg. She is vindictive! I agree with Dr. House she is a horrible person! Every time I watch the episode "The one where Ross finds out" I scream at Ross for leaving Julie "YOU IDIOT"!

Rachel obviously did something to him. He said she made his life miserable. I doubt that came from just ignoring him.

I have never bought anything from a UA-cam channel (and I haven't even Subscribed to this one yet, sorry) -- but if you put out a shirt that says "Member of the 'I Hate Rachel Green' Club" I would consider buying it. .... Mad respect to Jennifer Aniston for portraying the character so well; she is a very good actor and adds a lot to the dynamic of the show. But yeah, if it were a real person and not a fictitious character, I am 100% a member of the Club!

To the Rachel Supporters, Loyalists, whatever you call yourselves: there's a reason why there are a whole lot of us who hate Rachel but the other characters don't. Just accept it. 😁 you have your reasons, we have ours. As simple as that. 😊

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite episode (and not just for Brad Pitt, although he was hilsrious and received an Emmy nomination for it!). Dillon, you yourself have said Rachel is a better person now. Rachel lived in her own universe back then, but I understand. I'm visually impaired and was bullied because one of my eyes was milky blue with no pupil and I carry some resentment to this day, 30 years later. I accidentally punched one guy, but at least he never made fun of me again.
