*i've never seen Dillon laughing that hard during a Friends episode* (and he laughs during many)!! 😂😂😂😂
This one is the gold standard of how to construct a 22 minute situational comedy episode from top to bottom, inside and out, soup to nuts. This specific one in and of itself is tuned as tight as a piano it's so pitch-perfect hitting all the right comedic beats and narrative notes making beautiful music. This episode just sings. It's fascinating that originally in conception, Friends used Seinfeld as a creative acumen which shows in how it has several moving parts of juggling multiple storylines while dividing that all up amongst cast regulars to various degrees of equal amounts of screen time. The difference between shows is Jerry was the lead of the 4 member group on Seinfeld. I mean, it's called Seinfeld. Whereas Friends is a show without a definitive main title single protagonist star, it is, amazingly, a show that boosts 6 recurring characters with a perfectly calibrated balance of screen time doled out in equally distributed parts amongst them all. However, each individual character of this half bakers dozen are so well written, so well developed and realized and cast with actors with such high caliber of effortless charisma and natural charm, any one of the 6 could head their own spin-off easily they are that well crafted and brought to complex life. The other thing they borrowed from Seinfeld as a creative model was their story structure and way of seemingly telling multiple different stories that aren't related to each other in any way, upon first glance on the surface, but by episode's end, all dangling plot threads somehow miraculously converge and intersect together and all become interwoven, pulling together taut into a single cohesive thing of beauty with no hidden strings or loose ends, but instead we are blanketed in cloak of greatness and brilliance. The fact this episode is twenty years old and holds up beautifully speaks to the timeless quality of the writing on this series and how it still is plugged into the zeitgeist somehow inexplicably yet inspirationally too.
Also, this particular episode is like a Joey Tribbiani highlight reel. Seriously. He usually gets off at least 4 to 5 great Joey lines per show, but this one has at least 12 big money shot lines easily. This is a Leblanc greatest hits compilation all on its own, from just one self contained episode.
Lastly, I binged watched all ten seasons of the series a month ago and kept waiting for the moment. You know The Moment. The moment when eventually, inevitably every series begins to lose a step, overstay its welcome and just up and jumps the shark. A kept waiting for Friends to have this moment. All through season 8. Then season 9. Then season 10, which I had heard or assumed was a huge creative dropoff in show quality and became a Bizarro World parody of itself. Yeah. Spoiler: not the case and that episode to episode dread waiting for The Moment turned out to be unfounded and The Moment never came. So much so that there is a very late into the season of season 10; I believe third episode from the final farewell show that is arguably just as much a broadcast television masterpiece as this one here in season 8. The show never ended up jumping the shark and that ensemble cast of 6 stayed a singular unit hive mind of unbelievable unity and bar raising benchmark in the creative arts of network TV. No egos, creative differences or a Yoko to break up the band. And they went out at the peak of their powers while still beautiful and young. Friends is pure and proving to having real staying power while being one for the time capsule, it's of its day while being ahead of its time.
Ross gets a lot of hate online but I really love him. He’s so weird and funny. Plus I have always wanted Ross to be with Rachel, so them having a baby together is close enough for me.
100% STRAIGHT UP FACTS
I agreed with you 100%, Ross is my favorite, Ross and Rachel was best couple
@@hakone1841 I agree with that completely. That’s definitely why I love them so much! Lol
@@hakone1841Agreed. They are fun and interesting characters. But if they were real, they'd be horrible people and most wouldn't want to be friends with them. And that is why they are hated by many.
One of the best episodes.. so much funny. I loved your Crazy reactions 😆😁💖
one of my favorite episodes ever 😂😂😂
Jenifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are actually watching Blues Clues at the end on the video tape
"Was that another question? 👹" lmao
Ross is correct and he can't help be cocky
I don't think he's being cocky at all, he actually taking the high road for begging Rachel not to embarrassed herself
best reaction of yours haahahaaha

May I say that, since you are a married couple with kids, the perfect show (sircom) for you is Everybody Loves Raymond? I hope one day you can do it!
