Buffalo Airways is an airline based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. They mainly fly WWII-era piston powered propeller planes in minus 40 degrees and land on tiny strips of tarmac in the tundra.

My Grandpa and his three brothers used to own a construction business. The business is long gone, sold off to a national competitor, and the brothers are long dead, but this show always reminds me of what it was like working for them. And Buffalo Joe reminds me of my grandpa

Excellent show !the Ray Eleectra laanding was nothing short of phenomenal...I wont understand how Ray can even cry about the plane, when in fact the plane actually landed - nor fire - no injuries....that is the biggest gift ever! All the pilots,co-pilots, maintenance and crew are nothing short of amazing and the camera shots are so real and hair-raising.....
It's one of the drawbacks to being a perfectionist.
In essence I see your point but you've got to appreciate that pilots have great pride in their work and a prang is a downer and it hurts, even though Ray was in no way responsible.
Really great episode. So glad they're available on UA-cam. Love seeing these old warbirds fly. Good of Joe to keep it real and not "play up" like other reality shows. Glad to see Arnie once again. Kudos to the camera crew for doing their job even in the roughest of conditions. Watching from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Love it…especially when you visited Cardiff, Wales. Got me learning at 71…landed at Cardiff too…now solo’d with all theory exams passed. Waiting for a break in the weather to do my cross country flights. Keep at it guys!

I like the fact that Joe let it all be real, because a lot of reality show's you don't see this. I liked seeing how close everyone really is on this show. Joe reminds me of my grandpa, he had a bit of a temper, but was the greatest. Gramps fought in wwll, and was a anti tank artillery sergeant, and was trained in explosives, which as a kid, i saw some stuff blown up. G-d bless everyone.

I spent 12 years as a maintainer from the first helicopter the USArmy ever had, to the USAF C5 Galaxy the largest airplane in the US inventory. I worked on the Otter, the H-19, the H34. I can still smell those radials engines oil and avgas. I love this show.

Absolutely a unique wonderland of vintage plans. Back in the 70s I was allowed to sit in the FO sit on a short hop from Milwaukee to up North WI. It was a DC 3 converted into a business exec plane. But I digress I want to know your opinion of whether your water bombers could help save dying wild animals during Kenya drought 2022. Some lakes are flooding while wildlife preserves are drying up. Do you think that you could scoop from a lake and drop into watering holes for wild life like Elephants, antelope etc. It is an emergency stop gap mission

The two most silliness things where the hammer in the wheel well and the power generator being dropped by the forklift because of stupidity lifting. These two events should have never happened and I think it showed that safety was out of the office those days. Safety first, flying second. Measure twice, cut once principal should be used all the time. Ie changing a tyre, check that the jack is not going to sink into the ground, check that it is on level ground and it can also hold the weight.

Suppose we are ALL horrified at the news from the Dallas Airshow. Sincere condolences out to the 6 airmen of the two aircraft - RIP - they will be sorely missed by all who attended and their ground-crews. Curious if "Joe" saw the clips or perhaps can shed his experience on what he thinks happened that fateful day. We hate seeing these things happen. We are already under the FAA guns everywhere we look and this certainly doesn't bode well for future show events. As a former member of the Young Flyers Club of America - our organization was disbanded after an unforeseen accident involving an unauthorized attendant walking into a running prop (of all things unimaginable). Accidents happen. We do our best to avoid them. Perhaps better ATC and radio checks.. All the Best to Buffalo Air!
