In August 1979, I was a few months old but I clearly remember my Aunts playing the album around the time Thriller was released and my Aunt gave me my very 1st album “OFF THE WALL” as a hand me down to play on my brand new Smurfs Record Player in 1984. Then my Mother bought me my very 1st BRAND NEW Album “THRILLER” the next morning (Christmas Day) to also play on my new Smurfs Vinyl Album Record Player. I played those 2 albums non stop the whole next year straight!!!
Did anyone else notice that the "O" in the Jackson's Triumph album cover is the shape of a brain with a distinct point of light coming from where the pineal gland is located? For anyone interested, look into the function of the pineal gland and the history of research in that area...I think with this, and with the message in "Can You Feel It", it was his first subtle signal to the world to wake up and become one. Still amazed at the depth of his genius, his creativity, his talent and his humanity. Thank you the detail for continuing to put out such quality content!

My fav years of his was 1978 to 1982. I also think he was his most black (music wise) and beautiful at this age. I was born in76 so I was a baby then and he was my first tv memory in 79. I loved him so much then but as he became more pop, I became more of a Janet fan.
