What an extraordinary time this was, I’m almost moved to tears this shows and highlights a time when Americans embraced and welcomed people from other countries, and all walks of life we used to embrace people who were different and for from different places than us and now today, immigration is one of the most divisive Topics in American politics And things feel so different. This country will never be the same again, but I would give almost anything for us as a People and a nation. To get back to this way of welcoming everybody this video accentuates what a diverse place this country is, but it also saddens me to know that there are people out there, who want to no longer embrace this diversity, and would rather people from other places, no longer be welcome to this country and for them to be used as a strawman, in a political debate, I mean there were children from all types of places in this video and you can tell they love this country.

I remember when this kind of media was ALL you ever saw of Michael Jackson. Awards, merit, charity unmatched. UNMATCHED. He was what our parents insisted we try to emulate. His music was universally "great to listen to" by our parents, and our schools. I remember this so well. I remember these points so much more than anything else I have seen in just the last 15 years. And that stuff should be easier to remember, as it is closer to now. I think because it was so trivial to the point that was Michael Jackson. This is what I remember. We were freaking out about the Jackson Five in 1969/70 from Mississippi, so I could just imagine how they felt having one of the members of the group in their classroom.

I remember when this kind of media was ALL you ever saw of Michael Jackson. Awards, merit, charity unmatched. UNMATCHED. He was what our parents insisted we try to emulate. His music was universally "great to listen to" by our parents, and our schools. I remember this so well. I remember these points so much more than anything else I have seen in just the last 15 years. And that stuff should be easier to remember, as it is closer to now. I think because it was so trivial to the point that was Michael Jackson.
This is what I remember. It may not be what others remember, it is just me. I was lucky enough to live in the time where the man and artist was more important than the bizarre and exploited.

That older woman he hugs at the end was the tutor for the Jackson 5 and they loved her very much. It is so sad to realize that in just a few years, that first lying family would accuse Michael of molestation (Chandler kid). So sad to know what Michael was going to have to deal with and how horrible the media would be about him. Such a beautiful, gifted, loving person. We will never see that again.
