One trick I used to have in my mountain biking days to get faster at my rides was to anticipate downhill/level sections. If I knew I was coming up on a section that was easier, I'd try to sprint to it and then take it easy rinse and repeat.
@@walstan864 Yeah for sure 👍, I’m pretty much riding as far as Mountains to the Sea Trail to Bristol and all routes in between. Main is my favorite route because I love the whole downtown area, actually the whole city, but Red Hill is definitely an efficient route, thank you for your comment.

No doubt you already know this, but probably the fastest way to work would be to just go up Red Hill (avoiding Main).
