Hey mate how do these actually lock forward? I've never held one or the 7600 and I've seen it referenced all the time when people review the Taipan etc. Seems like a good function to have. Cheers
@@theaussiecarpenter these have a small notch that is cut in the action bars. When the hammer is cocked a lever will engage into the notch and lick it in place. Once the hammer drops the lever moves out of the way and u locks the action bar, this allows the bolt to be retracted
I find it rather strange really, the NFA restricts self loaders, on the basis the fast follow up shot is too fast. The problem is human's are slow and painfully easy targets, that in the wild would not last long at all the cold is enough to kill. Meanwhile a house hold cat can run as fast as a car and survive almost anywhere.
I had a rem 7600 in 270 win. Got the thumbhole version of the Verney Carron in 308 after my mate stuck a 308 in the 270 & wrecked it. I love it, shits all over the 7600 i had in my opinion. Awesome pig gun, just wish it had 10 shot mags.
I almost bought one of these but ended up getting the Winchester instead. Mainly because the Wichester magazines were easier to get at the time.
Wouldn't mind seeing these in the US.
Some gun store must have a big shipment in as 3 days ago on used guns there was about 20 different listings for them
I don't mind them. I thought the front pump could be a little longer and the pistol grip a bit thicker. The open sights are good though.
One of my 7600's is absolutely clapped out. Might go trade it in on one of these instead of the Winchester, I was totally disappointed in them

Kind of looks like it came off a zombie arcade game but it's Interesting.
They also come out in 9.3x62 🤷🏽♂️

Pretty interesting
Bloody expensive, it would want to punch holes in holes.
Nearly 3k is hard to justify nowadays
@@abwdagreat It is very overpriced in my opinion. You’ll just never get bolt action accuracy out of pump actions.
How does it compare to the 7600?
Still like my 7600p but it is getting old now.
@@matthewberry1738 It’s definitely slicker

@@jameshafner7952 Yeah if they used pmags instead of proprietary it would be gtg
Sucks anything other than bolt action seems so expensive.
