I don't know if UA-cam has Oscars or Emmys or the equivalent, but you certainly deserve one for this series! Watched and enjoyed every minute and hated to see it end, but I'm so glad I came along! Thanks so much.
Please go to Springhill,Nova Scotia where the Anne Murray Centre is located. Been to NS 3 times. Have you ever even heard of Anne Murray? I really enjoyed the episode with your mom. I am in Texas.
Probably the best and most satisfying UA-cam video I‘ve ever seen! Leaves me speechless while riding the high speed train ICE cross Germany. I met my wife during a train ride because of a delay and asked her to marry me on an ICE either. Thank you so much for taking us on this absolutly awesome trip! Be safe and ride on! Excited to see where you are going next!
As a American, thanks for showcasing your amazing country. Seriously planning a trip for this upcoming summer. Exceptional series!! But I have to admit, PEI was my favorite!
Your smile and enthusiasm is everything. I wish this wasn't over so please do a second season. Including the First Nation culture is very thoughtful and appreciated.
When I watched this series on CHEK I couldn't help but notice this was seriously Mike's BEST work, thankfully there's a second season of train travel coming and I'm here for it. Incredible series.
This series was so professionally made and also so informative and fun. I felt a bit let down that you had to fly to Vancouver and basically skip British Columbia's interior, but then you surprised us and went back and did it and did it in style. What a great trip this was.
Amazing series Michael. Absolutely love watching this series and learning about Canada 🇨🇦. You are a great story teller and an amazing ambassador for Canada 🇨🇦. Great work #Downielive
Dang.. haven’t felt that sad about a series ending in a long time.. thank you very much Mike and Will! You made my past 10 weekends particularly enjoyable. Much love
I travel by train, I LOVE TRAINS. A few years back I went across Canada by VIA, stopping at places a few days at a time and things, VIA is the BEST; From Van Couver to Halifax, saw it all and this series has brought back so many memories, the best trip of my life, Thank you ,, Mike, I have never enjoyed a show so much
@@sweetpea6814 It was not a cheap trip as there were so much done on the sides, in Jasper, Banff, Montreal, Halifax, it was the trip of a lifetime, I don't remember the cost, but I know I would do it again tomorrow if I were able.
After honeymooning in Vancouver, watching a cousin get married in PEI, popping up to Toronto in the spring, and splurging on a VIA Canadian trip a few years back...I've gotta say I've *really* missed not being able to travel to Canada these past few years. Your videos - and especially this series - are cathartic in soothing my wanderlust.
I was born and raised in BC, and I made a road trip to Winnipeg many years ago, but traveling across Canada on the train has been added to my bucket list. Thanks for showing parts of Canada I didn't know existed. You and Will did a fantastic job of capturing the Canadian spirit. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you get up to.
Guys, this series was one of the best films I've ever seen. Im a lot older than you (think Eisenhower) and I've been watching documentaries since I was around 3 yrs old (TV was new). I am retired IT and am some what finicky about videos I watch. I subscribe to over 600 channels and have one of my own. Yours kept my draw. I worked all over Canada in my job. Maritimes to Horse Shoe bay and Surrey. Your vloging talent and dictation are amazing. The editing is extremely well done. I am also a musician and I know what kind of work it takes to edit media. I don't have the means to support you financially, but I will continue to watch your vids simply because they are so professional and coming from some very young talent. Keep it coming Dudes! ( by the way, the Tux was a nice touch!)
What a beautiful ending to a fabulous series. I am going to so miss this particular journey with you and Will. You did a fabulous job showing off Canada. It is a breathtaking and beautiful country with wonderful people. So, glad you are our neighbors!
FANTASTIC SERIES!!!!!!!! You brought our family (here in New Zealand) so much joy, wonderment and laughter. Proud to subscribe to such a fantastic human as yourself.
That hovercraft looks pretty sophisticated, Mike. It was like a flashback to winter seeing all the snow. And the ice! I know you guys were glad to get back on the train. Thanks for a great finale video. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Thank you Downie for doing this series. It really shows me what Canada is and I say thank you. As an American born and living citizen Canada is now on my Bucket list.
Beautiful series. Everything was filmed well, the editing was on point. You gave every one of your interviewees and guests on the videos the time and respect to share their stories. From the knowledge and stories from the native people, to the men and women in the Canadian Coast guard, you delivered excellent content. I learned a lot from these videos, I hope to make up to Canada some day soon. Thanks for sharing your travels and stories, It's very moving. I genuinely look forward to what's to come from you and your channel. Sending well wishes from Texas.
Enjoyed the whole series! So glad i got that chance to be part of that throughout the youtube! Had such a blast! Keep up the good work! Much love and respect from Slovakia! Can´t wait to get a chance to visit Canada!
What a fantastic series!! Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We love your enthusiasm, and I particularly loved that you showcased indigenous people throughout your trip. Thank you so much!
WOW! It's the best trip I've ever had in Canada! Thanks to the two of you and all the people you met and all the people that had anything to do with making this extraordinary transcontinental extravaganza.
I can't remember how long it's been since I anticipated each release of a series as much as this one. Thank you for sharing your adventures with the world!
I watched the whole series and I have to say, we live in the most BEAUTIFUL of countries. What a way to see it too. Train travel gives such a different view on the scenery and all that surrounds us. Thanks for taking us with you on this, what will be for some, a once in a lifetime trip. Love and light from NB♥♥♥
Mike, we all just sat down and watched the last video. We were so happy to watch all your travels through Canada and so so sad to watch this adventure end. You two hit on many great spots and show us many great cultural places and people of Canada. You and Will deserve great praise for showing us this great Country of ours. We will soon retire and like you we plan on travelling across Canada in a camper. You and Will have inspired us and we hope to see much much more of you on UA-cam.
Just binged the series. Brilliant. Beautiful. Educational. Clearly a labor of love. Will and Mike are extraordinary ambassadors for the miracle that is Canada.
This is easily the best series I have seen on UA-cam. You made a perfect mix of everything in every episode and the story telling was fantastic. Gonna have to take a trip like this for myself one day!
I’ve been watching and enjoying since the series began. You’ve proved what I’ve been saying all my life to people who ask, “Why don’t you want to go vacation outside Canada?” To which I reply, “Canada has plenty enough in it to do and see, I don’t need to go anywhere else.” I’m an army brat, been coast to coast and there’s still stuff I haven’t seen here, as this series has shown. Canada’s a great country, get out and experience it.
Amazing video as always Mike. I always appreciate how uplifting and positive your videos are. As someone who lives alone and deals with a little loneliness and depression it's nice hearing your words of affirmation that I can "do anything" and that "I deserve it". I appreciate you.
Such a wonderful series! When you did the recap at the end I almost started crying. Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us, it is sincerely appreciated.
What an awesome journey, thank you Mike and Will. I got teary when you mentioned grand finally and you both showed up in your tux. This has been my best series. Stay safe thanks you both for very educational and entertaining series.🇬🇾🇺🇲❤
Not very often does a video or series leave me with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. The series has brought parts, people and the history of Canada to life in a way I've never seen before. You've both done it in such a way and shared a message to be truly proud of. Thank you Will and Mike. You keep saying this season, really hope there is a way for this amazing journey to continue.
OMG, thank you so much for this awesome adventure across Canada by train! Looks like you and Will had so much fun. So much history and information about our beautiful country! Happy belated 40th birthday! I just started watching your adventures about a month ago while walking on my treadmill. Looking forward to many more adventures with you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
A great series , Mike, and you hit the nail on the head with your tuxes. You two clean up very nicely . Just before you said the modes of dress matches the black and white theme of the passing views, I was thinking the same thing. A perfect ending to a perfect adventure.
Man o man what a fantastic series! This should be Canada's official tour guide video. Thanks Mike and crew. Tears when you stepped off the train in Vancouver dude. Absolutely fantabulous! ❤️❤️😎
Thank You for this "dream" series by train (and plane!) across Canada. It remains my retirement dream to take a rail journey across Canada, postponed by the appearance of Covid, but still a hope for some day soon. I've been on trains before, but never taken the full cross-country route. Your series definitely inspires me to do this sooner rather than later!
I’m from the UK Mike and I’ve absolutely loved this series. Over the last 3 months I’ve binged watched your channel. VIA rail cross country Canada is at the top of my bucket list now! Would be a dream to bump into you and have a steak on board! Keep up the great work.
Loved every second of this series!! Can’t believe it’s over! It’s been the thing I have looked forward too every Saturday!! So excited for whatever you have planned next!
Love from india , bruh it so sad to see this series end but loved each and every detail of the trip that you put in for us to watch , keep doing the work you do
The best of traveling with you Mike, is the attitude of let's enjoy whatever comes our way. You had great travel bud and that made all the great experiences more enjoyable.
WOW!! What a awesome adventure across our beautiful and great country of Canada. Thanks Mike and Will for showing us where we visit various sights of Canada..actually all of the series I loved it. So sad to see that it has ended.. I do hope that you’ll do more of this . See you on the next adventures
This series was incredible! Thank you Michael (and Will!) for showing us what makes each province unique and beautiful. It makes me appreciate living here, and inspires me to explore more of Canada. I am sad that this journey has come to an end!
I’m going to miss having new episodes of this beautiful series. It’s been a wonderful mix of educational, soothing and entertaining. The ending has given me an idea for a spin off series called Travels In Tux. The most dapper travel show. 😎
Bravo! I loved the whole series. This last episode really takes the cake. I had a huge grin on my face from snow day through the end, and I may have teared up when you got to finish the train trip (and when you talk about this wonderful country we live in). Thanks!
Glad to see your Dad again. I remember you two taking the Rocky Mountaineer and I was hoping he was well and enjoying life. Best to you and your family.
I just got done binge-watching all ten episodes, and all I have to say is well done, Mike! And to Will, too. Just an amazing, engaging series. Exploring the cultures and lifestyles of Canada’s First Nations peoples really was done in a heartfelt manner.
Absolutely loved this series. Thank you for all the hard work you put in to highlight your country. It was a travel piece but really felt more l about the people you met along the way. Thank you Mike
I don't know if UA-cam has Oscars or Emmys or the equivalent, but you certainly deserve one for this series! Watched and enjoyed every minute and hated to see it end, but I'm so glad I came along! Thanks so much.
They have the Streamy awards😉 and I nominate this series
Literally better than a TV travel programme
100%
Agreed!!!
There's the Shorty Awards too.
I know it’s “by train” but please do bonus episodes of the territories!
I agree. I would love to see a mini series on the territories.
I was thinking the same thing!
I was thinking the same thing - great idea!
or drive up to Tuk and explore the Territories
Please go to Springhill,Nova Scotia where the Anne Murray Centre is located. Been to NS 3 times. Have you ever even heard of Anne Murray?
I really enjoyed the episode with your mom. I am in Texas.
Probably the best and most satisfying UA-cam video I‘ve ever seen! Leaves me speechless while riding the high speed train ICE cross Germany. I met my wife during a train ride because of a delay and asked her to marry me on an ICE either. Thank you so much for taking us on this absolutly awesome trip! Be safe and ride on! Ah, that feeling like being at the movies and loving how it ends, but feeling sorry that it's over... Well done.
totally!
I'm sad it's over so soon. But it was a good season
What a great series. The only drawback: Not enough episodes! I am itching to take a train trip... and a boat trip!
I live in the USA and have enjoyed watching this series about Canada.
Someplace I will never get to travel to, but enjoy learning about Canada
As a American, thanks for showcasing your amazing country. Seriously planning a trip for this upcoming summer. Exceptional series!! But I have to admit, PEI was my favorite!

OK, so Mom and Dad meeting you at the station made me tear up! Enjoyed this series greatly, Mike! Thanks for the trip.
I am so sad the trip is over!! Thanks Mike and Will!! This 71 year old man would love to make the VIA trip across Canada!
When I watched this series on CHEK I couldn't help but notice this was seriously Mike's BEST work, thankfully there's a second season of train travel coming and I'm here for it. Incredible series.
Canada is magical but what makes it more magical is people like you, Mike. SOOO proud to be Canadian.
This is absolutely WONDERFUL! Thank You Mike, Will, True Earth, CANADA! I mean, the tuxes the persistence to ride the rail and the exuberance!

I want to see how it ends! That atmospheric river in November foiled my vacation too.
My town became an island. We could cross one bridge to a smaller community and that was it for more than a week.
After honeymooning in Vancouver, watching a cousin get married in PEI, popping up to Toronto in the spring, and splurging on a VIA Canadian trip a few years back...I've gotta say I've *really* missed not being able to travel to Canada these past few years.
