I've played it 4 hours since I got it mid November. I've been frustrated for about 3.95 of those hours and haven't wanted to break it out since. Such a shame

Here is what I have to say as I watched. I also have a lot of criticisms with Planet Coaster 2; however, they are a bit more justified. To immediately start and say a game should be accessible and easy to understand without an included tutorial is rather absurd ("I shouldn't need a tutorial to figure out your game"). The tutorial, which is included and is not difficult to find, helps clarify many of your initial complaints. Other issues that you discussed such as the need for power to start rides could be resolved if you had taken the time to do so. For example, there are 3 different sandbox presents, one of which disables power and most management aspects. I agree that the DLCs are a problem and Frontier does too, which is why they apologized for the DLCs and are working to resolve the overwhelming disapproval. In result, while I do find that the DLC issue and not being the vibe you wanted are fair complaints, I think the rest of this video is unjust and paints the wrong picture for those watching the video considering playing Planet Coaster 2. The game thrives in many aspects and many of your complaints, that viewers may find discouraging, are simply untrue and unfair due to your impatience. So if anyone is reading this considering playing the game, take criticisms lightly and try it out for yourself.

Honestly, I agree with everything you said - I realized after I had refunded that there was a tutorial that I just missed, though I still think there is room to make the game more intuitive without it. I had no idea about the other sandbox options that disables power though, that's really good to know. I also didn't know that Frontier responded about the DLC packs, so that's another good thing to keep an eye on how they handle that going forward. I definitely was a bit too impatient with this game, which I tried to acknowledge towards the end, but I am open to giving it another shot in the future, especially given the lack of true alternatives. I appreciate your thoughtful response!

ELECTRICITY AND WATER ARE A PAIN, AND THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS. DOES THE SAME HAPPEN TO ANYONE?

This is definitely a well made criticism of the game. While I personally enjoy it for what it is, I can certainly see where you are coming from as I've run into a few bugs here and there. Keep up the good work, and I hope you can find another Theme Park Sim that fits your model! (Parkitect is a great alternative to me as well 😉)

Might be a stretch but hear me out theme park tycoon 2 on roblox people Can build some crazy stuff but you do need gamepasses but getting gamepasses is sort of like paying for the game since roblox is free to download

People that have this opinion CLEARLY have never played Planet Coaster 1 at launch lol. It was the exact same mess and horrible experience. Give the game time, it’ll be fine. Stop panicking.

Bro, this is the dumbest response that I keep reading on UA-cam comments and Reddit. If you’re launching a sequel to a game you released 8 years ago, users should expect that you’ve learned from all those mistakes and have improved upon them.
I’m having fun, but this whole “dude they had these problems before, they’ll fix them again” mindset is absolutely bizarre to me. Like…if they already fixed all the bugs in the first one, they should already be sorted out in the second one. Sequels are supposed to be iterative and build on what you learned from the previous game, not restarting from square one and launching with all the same issues.

Not sure where you got the impression I was panicking, but I did play the alpha of the first game pretty extensively (I even made a video about it 8 years ago lol). I'll admit I didn't play a ton of the final game at launch but tend to agree with the person above me that developers should learn from their mistakes. Regardless, I don't plan on giving up all hope on PC2, especially given some of the other comments here pointing out flaws with my impressions. I'll keep an eye on it and take another stab if any of the changes are promising!

Then the game isn't worth buying and it's not panicking to get a refund for a sloppily made sequel.
