The red civic as o.g as it is.. Has had its time to shine.. That chassis also everyone has content on.. K swapping everything including the kitchen sink is a formula thats working for the channel. Kyle is smart . This van is why his channel took off. The hatch will just one day show up awd ready to run 7's against leroy dont worry.

3:27 why is the outlet bigger? The air cools and looses volume in the intercooler, which slows down the speed of the airflow. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a bigger hot side and smaller cold side to keep the air speed constant?
I'm sure speedfactory has ran all the tests you can run to get the most performance out of their intercoolers. They do have the fastest hondas on the planet.
the more you compress air, the hotter it becomes. so in turn, if you can have a slight "pressure drop" across the intercooler with the larger pipe on the outlet, it would in turn cool better. the air goes thru the intercooler and loses overall pressure (due to volume), and then gets recompressed after. the larger outlet means its compresses less, putting less heat into the intake temps
basically having the outlet slightly bigger gives the air a chance to expand, increasing it's volume, more volume = less heat. Of course that would be irrelevant if the throttle body or intake restricts it again later on
Im so glad theyre going all out with this build. I crave sleepers and this odyssey is perfect. the ONLY gripe i have with this build is they didnt go with a j series BUT the k24 is more than capable for everything theyre shooting for and then the fact they threw on that massive turbo seals the deal. i love this build the most.
The intercooler can't go up any higher, otherwise the bumper would not go back on. He said he was going to add some tabs to support the bumper on the intercooler mount and that is on the top of it. So it could not go any higher without cutting the main top section of the bumper. Plus he said he is going for a sleeper look. Hood pins would be a dead giveaway. He needs to paint the intercooler flat Black so you can't see it.
Alan Thornton it can hold 1400hp or can hold the psi and flow the air to make 1400hp? They've only rated to a hp level because a the manufacturer believes it will support that power level.
because the metric used on performance parts is hp. im sure you can get a cfm or clm number from them, but its easier to list what sort of hp a part can support than have 5 different metrics & conversions then go from imperial to metric system conversions.... hp is hp no matter where you are.

Speedfactory is a few blocks from the house I used to own. I'd go out to highschool drag nights at the local track and be in awe at how their cars go. I love that you're working with them!!

Awesome build! This vans going to rip! Make sure to add a bottom mount on the intercooler or the boost pressure will flex it forward and push couplers off... I can't wait to see this van fly!!!

With the bumper covering 2/3's of the intercooler,are you not losing a ton of airflow over it?
Basically, yes.
But with the thickness it should even out and be enough

He can always customize some extra air intakes later if he finds they are needed.
it's rated for 1400hp...pretty sure it'll do fine even with 1/3rd of it covered.

Do away with the stock hood latch and run some low pro pins or Zeus fittings. I bet it gives you more space for piping and pulls it off the ground
