Annie, I enjoyed watching your first FlossTube this evening. You did a great job, and you’re a natural when it comes to visiting and communicating. It was fun to see some of the designs you were working on back then that you now display so beautifully in your home. You’ve come a long way in just a little over two years. Congratulations.
I loved your video! Brenda Gervais is my favorite cross stitch designer. I get my stitching supplies from Craft Gallery in Findlay, Ohio and Timeless Stitches in Tecumseh, Michigan. I live in between the two shops in Bowling Green, Ohio. Can't wait to see your next video!
Lovely! I thoroughly enjoyed your first flosstube, Annie. I’m down on the coast about an hour from Melbourne so my favourite shops are Aussie ... I share the love between “Linen and Threads” - they are Fox and Rabbit Designs (Brendan Kirk) and The Blackberry Rabbit (Karen Kirk) and they’ve become my friends. The other shop is “A Stitch In Time” - the owner there - Kerrilyn Parker - has also become a friend. That’s what I adore about the cross stitch community - how beautifully friendly and supportive it is. Well done and I look forward to your next video! 💖
I don't have a LNS here in North East, (Tyler) Texas. But, there is Hanging by a Thread in Shreveport LA, which is 2 hours away from me. I'm trying to get several of my stitching friends to make a day trip with me since the weather is turning nicer now. As for spending my stitching money, I usually order from 123 Stitch.
Fabulous first flosstube 👏👏👏👏 your wips and haul are great , I now have a long list of Brenda Gervais charts to purchase 😍 I am in England so no LNSs for me to spend my money in 🥲 I love a few of our online shops but my favourite has to be Shakespeare’s Peddler. Theresa has so many fantastic charts you can’t get over here. Looking forward to flosstube no2 .
I too am an ardent supporter/admirer of Jacob de Graaf and his designs (Modern Folk Embroidery). While I'm such a traditionalist when it comes to samplers, my Swedish DNA (I'm 47% Scandinavian) really calls for some of his designs. I've got probably 20 or more!! I, too, am working on both his 2020 and 2021 SALs. Thoroughly enjoyed your floss tube. Good job! Looking forward to your next one.
Your channel is great! When you talked about things not being perfect sometimes in a project - the Amish always make a little mistake in their work because they believe only God is perfect. That made sense to me......I'm good to go. Happy stitching!
Hi, I have just found your floss tube series and wanted to start from the beginning. I already enjoy your video. You have some very nice works. I can't wait to watch you finish, them. I used to go to Stitch n Frame shop, in Rock Hill, SC, but they closed recently. I just went to Pigeon Forge for the first time, last November 2022, and went to Dixie Darlin, and they were having a closing sale, and I bought a lot of patterns and kits. When I need cloth I have been going to Cross Stitch & Crafts, in Johnson City. I love her store, too. I live 1 hr, 30 minutes away. I live in North Carolina.
You did a great job and your first flosstube. I live in Petoskey, Michigan about 35 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge. Stay safe and keep up the good work. Walk in Peace.
Great first video! It was fun seeing your projects. Since you like blue and white, check out Calculated Stitcher's flosstube (I think it was the March 28-30 one) at about 11 minutes and she shows the Hannah Hetherington sampler. Hope to see more of your videos!
I watched #3 first and asked if you were nearby. Lol Anyone who travels from East TN to Louisville KY is an awesome person to me! I live in East KY and I would travel to Timbuktu before I would Louisville! Lol The roadways there scare the dickens out of me! I travel to the doctors and hospitals in Knoxville TN quite often and so wish there was an LNS there. I enjoy your channel, keep up the good work. God bless!
Hi Annie, I am new to your channel but love your style! I am going to work my way through all of your videos, so this is #1! I have seen more recent ones but decided to go back to the beginning. I admire your work and the fact that you talk about quilting as well, which is another love of mine aside from cross stitching. I am looking forward to following you! Thank you for your time spent sharing with others.
Annie, I really enjoyed your first floss tube. Please come back soon! I love The Kitten Stitcher. Her shop has my favorite items. Love getting stitching packages from her! Thank you again for sharing!
Hi Annie! Wonderful first flosstube, and lovely projects! Good to hear from another East Tennessee girl- I grew up in Knoxville although I live in Chicago now. I totally understand about the Plum Street samplers as well. I have several waiting patiently in my stash pile. Can’t wait to see your next flosstube!
Hi I’m from So. CA my closest stitch store is 120+ miles away. So I shop at Michael’s for DMC but I have old magazines from the late 80’s and early 90’s and I use those patterns. I restarted cross stitching at the beginning of Feb when Covid19 hit all of us. I’m older and have health issues so I don’t go anywhere very much. Thank you for sharing about yourself. You did really great for your first tutorial!!!
Welcome! I enjoyed your visit and seeing your work. It's always nice to live vicariously (if I'm not actually enabled enough to make a purchase)! We have similar tastes so I look forward to your next visit and progress.
Hi, I really enjoyed your video. I think it was your calm presentation. I loved it when you turned a bit sideways and the funny bunny behind you could be seen. Looking forward to your next video. Happy stitching and stay safe. Michaela
Thank you for sharing your time and skills with us. I will certainly watch your next video! I currently do not have a local needle shop (gasp). I am relatively new to this area (Corpus Christi, TX and moved here from a very remote city in Texas near the border so Walmart was my go to. Now with Flosstube and Etsy it is right in my home. I am interested that you have several favorites in other cities in Tennessee, so that will be my next venture to look for LNS in my travels. I love the Santa's and have a smaller collection. Your bunnies are so adorable! See you next time, Michele
Enjoyed your video and the lovely pieces you have stitched. I am from RI - there are no LNS stores in my state, however found one last year about an hour away in MA called The World in Stitches - due to COVID have only been there twice. Other than that, I like to support the cross-stich shops on ETSY. Of course there is always 123 stitch. Thank you.
Great job on the flosstube! You look so cute with those little bunny ears sticking up behind your head ;)! I think I will have to get the other three seasons of the Saltboxes!
Welcome! Great job on your first podcast! Love your work. Love your accent! I am relatively new to the new xStitch movement as well. I started xstitching about 30 years ago, and when I started quilting my cross stitching lost my interest. I kept my floss because I would do the occasional small piece and I am an avid embroiderer, but I jumped in to quiltingway out into deep water. A year or so ago a friend mentioned Flosstube to me and one show and I was back on the stitch wagon. Everything had changed so much in the last 20 years I felt like a brand new stitcher! Unfortunately I do not have a local needlework shop, but while in Arizona last winter I was able to spend an afternoon at Attic Needlework and was so overwhelmed with the samples, the linens, the charms, the floss and on and on. I would say it is my favourite shop that is exclusively xstitch, but my favourite Quilt/xstitch shop is Country Sampler in Spring Green Wisconsin...hands down awesome! Service, samples, product, home decor extras...kits, patterns, ambiance...I cannot say enough about it. If you ever get the chance...do it! But until then sign up for their newsletter. Oh Attic Needlework has an awesome newsletter as well. There is an archive of their newsletters on their site. A floss tube you might like is Shanda Stitching in Idaho, and Daisy Kay Primitives. Looking forward to your next post! Wendy O (a fellow cross stitcher)
Hey Wendy! Thank you for watching and your comment. Welcome back to stitching. I have always wanted to go to Attic Needlework. Maybe one day I can take a cross stitching road trip.
Welcome to flosstube really enjoyed your first one. Hope to see more. I spend my money at Tomorrow’s Heirlooms in Glen Ellen Illinois. And I get to go to the meet and greet there to meet the housewives. I use to work in the same shopping mall. But that was dangerous. But I have since transfer to another location to work at. So I visit them on Saturday about once a month.
Hi there , I’m in Ohio.... Glad to have found you. Your a natural one wouldn’t know it’s your first video had you not said 😊 My first piece was a reproduction Sampler... then came other prims.. samplers are my first love ... Enjoyed your shares... look forward to seeing you again.. Blessings ~
Hi Annie! I am a brand new subscriber as Tanya mentioned you on her channel The Sampler Girl. I have never cross-stitched before nor quilt but would love to learn both. I love the story of your grandmother teaching you, how wonderful! I look forward to learning more and seeing your amazing projects. Any VERY beginner tips welcome....
Hello from GA!!! Nice to find another local-ish stitcher. Love your projects! I have got to make the drive to Johnson City to visit that store. I usually order online. Stitch and Frog is local to me so I try to get stuff there first or from Fire Poppies
Hi Annie, nice to meet you! I live about 55 miles south of The Finishing Touch in Kentucky. I have not been there yet but plan to soon. Since I saw you show The Fruit of Plenty I am obsessed and must have it! I love blue and white and am very partial to blue and white dishes. Enjoyed your first flosstube and look forward to many more!.
I just found your wonderful channel. I also live in East Tn and Cross Stitch and Crafts is my favorite cross stitch store. Shirley and Amie are just the best. You have many lovely projects. It was a pleasure to watch your first video. I’m looking forward to your next one.
Hi Annie , I’m from northern MN...I know eastern TN well as my husband was born & raised in that beautiful part of the state! Enjoyed your floss tube sure couldn’t tell it was your 1st...love your projects...I too don’t mean to spend🤩 I try to share at Fire Poppies, Kitten Stitcher, Sassy Jacks and more Take care, happy stitching till next time..🌷🌷🌷
Oh Annie! Your first flosstube was GREAT! You’re a natural and I look forward to following you as you show us all your pretty Stitching! Again, great job 👏🏼
Enjoyed your video and look forward to seeing many more. I am also stitching Feast of plenty and loving it. I live in a small town in Michigan and we are fortunate to have a wonderful cross stitch shop called Stitches n'T hings. I watch so many f.oss tubers that I hardly watch T.V. anymore. Hope to see another floss tube video from you soon.
I don’t have a cross stitch store close by. So like you I spread the wealth. My two favorites are Firepoppies in South Carolina and Shepherds Needle in Arkansas. They are so good and you have your things in days. Both are helpful in guiding you when you have questions and extremely patient. Loved your video. I think we are probably a lot alike. Xoxo
Welcome to Flosstube! I grew up in Johnson City and most of my family is still there. I did not realize there was a store there. Can’t wait to check it out when/if I ever get back there. All cross tit h stores are my favorite! Lol. But my 2 LNS that get most of my stitch money are Threadneedle Street and Acorns & Threads.
I really enjoyed your floss tube!. I loved seeing all your stitching. Love your attitude on finishing and perfection. Thank you for taking the time and starting a Floss Tube. I live in rural MN so most of the time I do order from 123. Otherwise I do stop into Stitchville in Minnetonka, MN when I am in the area.
Great flosstube... I will be back to see your progress! I'm from Roseburg, Oregon, we have quilt stores, but nothing here for cross-stitch. I use my stitchy money on Etsy and Cobweb Corner online. I absolutely love the Butterfly Cloche, I am excited to see you start that!!! I also love the Fruit of Plenty WIP... I look forward to see your progression on that! I just started something similar, it is called Garden Fair by Courtney Collection... I saw the lady on Cobweb Corner start that, it's absolutely stunning!
Thank you for watching and your comment. I will have to look into Garden Fair. I received all the supplies needed for Butterfly Cloche today. I may have to start it this evening. I will hopefully film another video Friday. Take care and have a great week.
Hi, Annie! Welcome to Floss Tube! You did a fabulous job! I look forward to watching #2, seeing you more in the future, and your needlework and “lazy quilting.” We’re very much alike. AND I live in Middle TN!!!
Annie you did great..... looking forward to the next one ! My local shop is Country Past Times in Troutville Va. I did visit the one in Johnson City recently and it is really nice Amy is very helpful ! Happy Stitching, Jennifer McMillan
Terrific first Flosstube! We share much the same taste in patterns so I am off to try to find some of the adorable bunny patterns you have. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers.
I always purchase my supplies from Fat Quarter Shop online. They have such awesome stitch alongs making it fun to join in! I enjoyed your first You Tube video and subscribed to watch you in the future. I love both cross stitching and quilting. Hugs, Suzanne🧵💁♀️❤️XXX
Great video! Enjoyed seeing your wips and finishes. Great patterns too! The Santa you found at the antique store is a great find! The masking tape on the edges is just what we did at the time. Try using your Rotary cutter and just cut it that way. If you pull the take off,it will unravel. I think it's stitched on Klostern fabric it has 7 stitches to an inch. Might also be stitched on Tula and that has 11 stitches to an inch. I have stitched many of the Santa's on klostern too. I stitch them on linen now for my grandson and he loves them! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
Oh Annie, how beautifully you come across on UA-cam. Hello from Australia. I am a quilter but am commencing my first cross stitch pattern. It is a HAED. Am I mad? Love your video and so looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Perfect 1st time video. I enjoyed seeing all of your haul, projects and WIPS. I don’t have a LNS, the closest is 2 1/2 hours away. Stitchery Nook in Osage, Iowa is awesome. They do mail order and is fantastic with helping.
Hello, Annie and welcome to Floss tube! I think you did a marvelous job on your first video. You seemed like a natural at this. Your sweet smile and spirit slipped through the computer screen and splashed me with goodness and inspiration. I most certainly look forward to your next installment. Happy Stitching, thanks for sharing, your new friend, Daleen
Enjoyed your video and love your projects! I watch Flosstube to see finishes, I look forward to seeing you finish some of your projects all finished up and love that you shared Priscilla's philosophy, "done is better than perfect" I agree!! I have a local shop I enjoy, The Strawberry Sampler in West Chester, Pennsylvania however I do the majority of my shopping on-line.
Congratulations on your first floss tube video! Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Love quilting too, so enjoyed that as well. My favorite shops are mostly online, 123stitch and fat quarter shop. Thanks for sharing your stitching.
I just found your floss tube and LOVE it!!! I joined your FB group and now know your fav color is blue!!! Yah me!!! Mine is PURPLE!!!! Love u and am now a fan!!!! from the beach in SOUTH CAROLINA!!!
Annie, I’m so glad you gave this a try! Really enjoyed seeing all of your projects and putting a face with the name. I’m super tempted to jump in on the Modern Folk Embroidery SAL after seeing your start. My husband rarely comments on pieces he sees but he seemed quite taken with that one. Looking forward to your next episode and thank you so much for the kind words about your Nikki’s Notables bags. Seeing happy customers and the projects that these bags hold...it makes my heart so very happy!
Great first video. I too believe finished is better than perfect. I don't have a local cross stitch shop so Fat Quarter Shop is my go to for patterns. Hobby Lobby for floss. 1 2 3 Stitch for fabric. I look forward to your next video.
Great first flosstube! I enjoyed it :) My favorite place to buy things??? I have several. . . doublecrossstitcher on Etsy, The Kitten Stitcher, Black Cat Stitchery, and The Silver Needle come to mind first. . . but there are some I'm sure I'm leaving out!
For your dry hands and fingers - look for Burt's Bees Cuticle Creme........... little flat pot, kind of lemony scented. Rub it in after you are finished stitching for the night - definitely a bit greasy. But it makes a huge difference after just a few uses! Enjoyed your video.............. from Colorado.
@@theproperstitcher You're welcome - enjoyed your video! I should have mentioned, I rub the cream all around my cuticles and the tips and sides of my fingers. I haven't found the cream in the supermarket, but have picked it up at our Natural Grocer's.......... probably available on Amazon also. Hopefully it well help.
Hello, I live in Belle Chasse, LA, adjacent to New Orleans. I watched your new channel and immediately subscribed. I love your style, your relaxing presentation, and look forward to many more floss tube videos. My favorite cross stitch store is Fat Quarter Shop, online.
I know I’m late to the game but I got to see your interview with Becca and loved what you said about the history and being perfect. Thank you so much for having such a down to earth channel. You’ve already enabled me for sure.. Happy Stitching ~ Carey
Hi I loved your video and your beautiful stitching I can’t get out so I have to buy on line I buy a lot from lakeside needle craft uk I’m not doing mainia I want to finish the five wips I have till next week take care caz
Enjoyed your video. I usually shop at 123, even though I’m in TN also. Did not know about JCS and Crafts will look them up. Beautiful stitching. Thanks for sharing.
Love your video. Please keep doing them you are doing a great job. I also have family in Louisiana, living in Hurricane Mills behind Loretta Lynn’s now. Your vases are gorgeous
I usually order from Etsy shops and I do not have a favorite on line store either because I try to order from different ones. I do not have a LNS. Love your first video and can not wait for the next. Thank you!
I am recovering from major surgery and love watching floss tubes. Enjoyed watching your first video! I live in the Netherlands and use a couple of shops overhere with good selection of patterns, floss and materials.
Hi Annie! I just found your flosstube and really enjoyed it! I can't wait to watch all of your videos and see your progress and all the beautiful things! Just wanted to say hello🖐
Praying for your sister hope she’s doing better I love your beautiful stitching and your stunning background I don’t have any summer lans this year due to health issues so lots of stitching is my summer 1-2-3-4-5 happy stitching xx
Very nice first video. My favorite store is Etsy. We don't live too close to a cross stitch store, so I shop online. I must admit that I am project bag crazy too. I have learned to make them so I can use the money for cross stitch patterns and quilting fabric :)

I love your bunny pillow, it's very sweet. I love Brenda Gervais and Stacy Nash designs.
Thank you! 😊

@@theproperstitcher It's a small world isn't it?
Fabulous first flosstube 👏👏👏👏 your wips and haul are great , I now have a long list of Brenda Gervais charts to purchase 😍 I am in England so no LNSs for me to spend my money in 🥲 I love a few of our online shops but my favourite has to be Shakespeare’s Peddler. Theresa has so many fantastic charts you can’t get over here. Looking forward to flosstube no2 .
Thank you for watching!

Thank you for watching. I do love the Scandinavian designs and hope to stitch more of Modern Folk Embroidery this year.
Great first video. You are a natural.
There are two cross stitch stores I frequent. Inspired Needle in Lemont, Illinois and Black Cat Stitchery in northern Illinois.
Your channel is great! When you talked about things not being perfect sometimes in a project - the Amish always make a little mistake in their work because they believe only God is perfect. That made sense to me......I'm good to go. Happy stitching!
Thank you for watching! I did not know that about the Amish saying. I love that.

I would love to visit Mackinac Island!!! Thank you for watching
How delightful to watch your Floss Tube! Looking forward to seeing your next one.
I like to shop at Judy’s Stichery Nook in Harlingen, TX.

Great first video! It was fun seeing your projects. Since you like blue and white, check out Calculated Stitcher's flosstube (I think it was the March 28-30 one) at about 11 minutes and she shows the Hannah Hetherington sampler. Hope to see more of your videos!

Hey!! Thank you so much for watching. I hope to make a trip to Cross Stitch and Crafts within the next few weeks.
My favorite shop is the Attic and I also frequent 123 Stitch. Enjoyed your 1st video. Looking forward to more.
Thank you for watching. I have always wanted to go to The Attic.

Enjoyed your floss tube sure couldn’t tell it was your 1st...love your projects...I too don’t mean to spend🤩 I try to share at Fire Poppies, Kitten Stitcher, Sassy Jacks and more

Hi from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and my favourite cross stitch shop is Craft Connections in Edmonton!
Welcome! Thank you for watching.
Oh Annie! Your first flosstube was GREAT! You’re a natural and I look forward to following you as you show us all your pretty Stitching! Again, great job 👏🏼
Thank you sweet lady! I appreciate your kind words.
Thank you for watching. I know the shop owner of Stitches n'Things. Please tell Deb I said hello.
Thank you for watching
I really enjoyed your floss tube!. I loved seeing all your stitching. Love your attitude on finishing and perfection. Thank you for taking the time and starting a Floss Tube. I live in rural MN so most of the time I do order from 123. Otherwise I do stop into Stitchville in Minnetonka, MN when I am in the area.
Thank you for watching.
So enjoyed your video, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you for watching

Thank you for watching. I just ordered Sew by Row from Fat Quarter Shop. I can't wait to start that one.
Just found you so starting a Flosstube 1 😊 Thank you from UK 🇬🇧
Welcome to my channel!! Thank you for watching
Thank you for watching and the great info! I hope to have him finished soon.
Hi! I love your projects. I’m subscribed.
Fabulous first FlossTube! I shop at Fat Quarter Shop and 123 Stitch a lot❣️

Thank you for watching and for your kind words.
Thank you for watching! I love The Strawberry Sampler. I was there a few years ago when I attended a retreat in the area.
Congratulations on your first floss tube video! Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Love quilting too, so enjoyed that as well. My favorite shops are mostly online, 123stitch and fat quarter shop. Thanks for sharing your stitching.

Thank you for wactching
Annie, I’m so glad you gave this a try! Really enjoyed seeing all of your projects and putting a face with the name. I’m super tempted to jump in on the Modern Folk Embroidery SAL after seeing your start. My husband rarely comments on pieces he sees but he seemed quite taken with that one. Looking forward to your next episode and thank you so much for the kind words about your Nikki’s Notables bags. Seeing happy customers and the projects that these bags hold...it makes my heart so very happy!
Thank you so much for watching.
Great first video. I too believe finished is better than perfect.
I don't have a local cross stitch shop so Fat Quarter Shop is my go to for patterns. Hobby Lobby for floss. 1 2 3 Stitch for fabric.
I look forward to your next video.
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for watching. I like to rotate where I spend my stitchy money a well.
Outstanding first Flosstube! I enjoy the history of textile arts too. Loved spending time with you.
Great video and beautiful stitching! I mostly shop at 123 Stitch and several etsy shops. I also like The Fat Quarter Shop.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you so much for the recommendation and for watching. You are the second person to suggest Burt's Bees so I will get some today.
I enjoyed your video so much!! Never would have known it was your first floss tube!! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!!
Great first video, waiting for your next one!

Great flosstube!!
No local stores for me so 123 stitch is where I mostly buy. When we're in TN I love to go to Dixie Darlin.
Thank you for watching
Very nice first video. My favorite store is Etsy. We don't live too close to a cross stitch store, so I shop online. I must admit that I am project bag crazy too. I have learned to make them so I can use the money for cross stitch patterns and quilting fabric :)
I need to learn to make them. I would rather spend my money on cross stitch. LOL Thank you for watching.
