I’m a limo operator and the new Navigator is really nice. Plenty of leg room even in the third row. And, the Navigator has control knobs instead of the touch and swipe controls. However, when my clients pay top dollar to arrive in style, they want the black on black leather Escalade. I think it’s the giant chrome grille in the front and the floor to ceiling led tail lights in the back. I’ve mentioned the new Navigator to some of my clients telling them that the Lincoln has more room in the cabin and is priced about the same. They all say, no we prefer the Escalade. The customer may not always be right... but they’re never wrong!
The Escalade is simply the sexiest SUV. I've driven the Navigator, Range Rover, Expedition, Yukon, & Tahoe, all with different benefits & features. Range Rover & Navigator have the most luxurious interior & amenities. Fully loaded Expedition not far behind. Could make an argument theyre better than the Escalade in almost every area. But nothing looks cooler and more sleek than the Escalade in my opinion. And a HUGE factor is the Escalade engine. The growl & throat is awesome. You don't get that same excitement in the Navigator or Expedition.

Really disappointing Cadillac still lacks of having front LED turn signals. When the rest of the vehicle has them, it really becomes a saddening view to see the stunning LEDs paired with the non luxurious standard turn indicators. This probably isnt that much a deal for some, but you gotta wonder, for all that money its valued at, you would think especially for a model year of 2018, when the technology has been readily available for some time now, why not make every light on the car LED?
Patrick B I think the newer one will fix that. This been out a few years now but oddly enough I find the 07-14 to look much more elegant inside and out.. The new one is just more refined.
The rear side windows design makes it look like a funeral car. If they could give it a straight boxy pillar instead of a sloped one it would look basic and and different also if they could make the window a bit smaller and give it a trim before connecting on the rear tail lights it would by far eliminate that look.
70s-80s but that is the G-Van, the modern current van GMC Savana has the 2.8L Diesel compared with an 8-speed automatic transmission and being converted by a third party manufacturer makes the Cadillac step away from the Savana.

Yeah. The 1st gens were WAY better than the ones they put out now. The 99 Tahoe we have has the Vortec 5700 which in my opinion was one of Chevy's best V8's.
It's like #cadillac got #stuck in 2004... despite all the #bling and recent technologies, the quality is low, some things like the gear lever are like from an 1800's wagon...
Same as the Suburban, but more plastic. In my opinion, the ORIGINAL 1st gen Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban were the best. They can run circles around these new ones. Why would anyone buy one of these? The gas mileage sucks!
It’s there to save space in the center console. Also it’s based on a truck design being a traditional body-on-frame suv so if they changed the shifter they’d have to also do so in the Tahoe, Yukon, Sierra, and Silverado. If they used better materials it’d be more fitting. I just seriously hope the don’t go to an electronic shifter or worse a button shifter
David Dies same. I love the column shifter. Too many companies are moving towards electronic shifters and I’m not here for it. The only place to put it to save space is on the column. I really hope the keep the column shifter
