I honestly expected a much higher quality to these custom wigs. So many of them were sadly cheap versions of their photos. The large pigtail with braids was my favorite but I wish they had used the same hair color and wrapped the braids all the way around! My perfectionist crafter heart is dying lmao

They did you wrong with the safety pin wig , they know it and their "no refund sorry u didnt get what was advertised" reply to your complaint was sorry AF ...a customer shouldnt have to alter the product to be what they advertised...it was clearly pictured so much longer that was a big disappointment...despite the companies short comings you always make everything look great!!
Not sure if it's the same, but in the uk shops don't have to give a refund. It's more like a gesture of goodwill. It's the law that you get a refund if the item is broken or not as advertised. Unless this seller states on their page that it's actually the amount of pins and might not actually look like the picture a refund should be giving. Homemade items can look different but not like a totally different wig. Sound dodgy to me, making people pay that much and then they have to make half themselves.

The last one is somewhat accurate to what those hair styles historically would have looked like with the grey color. Rococo hair styles were achieved with a mix of fat/lard and white powder. So everyone’s (the aristocracy, at least) would have had that grey looking cast to it. The mix helped cement in the crazy hair styles (and the hair rats they used to poof up their coifs) as well as protect against pests like lice (it’s next to impossible for them to move through the solidified hair)
The 5th wig ( 10:08 ) is giving the lalaloopsy doll vibes so cute lol does anyone remember those dolls? I had one with hair kinda like that and they had button eyes.

I think the issue on the safety pin wig is that the seller used a misleading foam head to take the photos of it on. A lot of those cheap foam heads are NOT the same size as real, adult, human heads. It is still 100% on them for not at least including one photo of the wig on a human head if they couldn't afford a better display head. Although if cost was the problem, it would be easy to just add some mass onto that foam head with any variety of different materials.
the one in the photo was almost three times longer than the one she got. she was scammed. there is no way a foam head is the reason it was that much longer.
And then they try to trick buyers by saying "oh we don't accept returns" like bitch no, buyer protection is a thing and etsy/paypal will 100% refund the buyer for items not as described.

The Antoinette wig was gorgeous, definitely worth it, and more what I expected when you said it was gonna be the extra wigs. I loved the pearl one the most. It was surprisingly effective. I thought it would be too "thin" but it worked really well and they did a good job alternating pearl sizes. I could see you wearing that wig with the candle outfit from Taboo, but with a blue ?feathery? skirt with a slit.

Hairloss for various reasons from alopecia to cancer, thinning, just want a new style, disability making it hard to maintain hair on your head, work requiring “normal” colours or styles, less damage to your real hair, religion (some Jewish sects require women to cover their hair but instead of a scarf they wear a wig), variety, styles you can’t achieve with your own hair, etc. Not every wig needs to be something unachievable with your regular hair, there’s a variety of reasons someone might want a realistic wig even if they have a full head of their own hair🙂

The last wig is light on some parts because of the pomade and powdering they did back in the day, so they could keep their hairstyles longer and avoid washing the hair for longer periods of time. That's why in most of the paintings and portraits in times of Marie Antoinette everyone has that whiteish gray cotton looking hair.
That last wig is white/gray, cause back in the day, during Maria Antoinette times, they would powder wigs, with actual white powder, it was a trend, so this wig is true to that time period. They did good job with it.

Loved the last wig! The feathers looked great with your eye makeup! The greyish color is because it's supposed to have a more accurate historical look, they used powder and pomade to style back then. Recommend checking out some of the historical fashion UA-camrs--Abby Cox goes all out making the pomade and powders! There are even some tutorials on how to do those 18th century styles. with the fully pearl wig, as a cosplayer, we commonly wear the meshy wig caps and people put in clips so that you can clip it in through the holes of the cap and make it secure, some people even glue the clips into wigs that dont have the clips so they dont fall off :))

My fav was the blue pigtail wig, it suited you so well ! As for storing I would get foam or plastic heads and pin them on and store them in a cupboard so that they don’t get all dusty. You could also put plastic bags protecting them so that they stay perfect x

I absolutely loved the show girl vanity wigs. The pink GOT wig and the sailor moon wig looked sooooo good. I also like the pearl wig and the very last Marie Antoinette wig. The safety pin wig was an absolute scam. It actually would of looked nice if it had more safety pins on top to hide the lace and more strands of safety pins that actually matches the pic

The last one was actually super cool! Its supposed to imitate a hairstyle from a time where people used grease and powder to style their hair which did make it gray like that. So while it may not look aesthetically pleasing to you, its accurate in that way. I think it would really work for a cosplay or something of the sort!

with the fully pearl wig, as a cosplayer, we commonly wear the meshy wig caps and people put in clips so that you can clip it in through the holes of the cap and make it secure, some people even glue the clips into wigs that dont have the clips so they dont fall off :))

My fav was the blue pigtail wig, it suited you so well ! As for storing I would get foam or plastic heads and pin them on and store them in a cupboard so that they don’t get all dusty. You could also put plastic bags protecting them so that they stay perfect x

I absolutely loved the show girl vanity wigs. The pink GOT wig and the sailor moon wig looked sooooo good. I also like the pearl wig and the very last Marie Antoinette wig. The safety pin wig was an absolute scam. It actually would of looked nice if it had more safety pins on top to hide the lace and more strands of safety pins that actually matches the pic

Your absolutely right about the butterfly type wig….I would glue in rhinestones in all the visible wig cap spots, but it is a beautiful wig if all those spots were not visible. So yea just doctor it up to make it even more beautiful 🤩

The last one was actually super cool! Its supposed to imitate a hairstyle from a time where people used grease and powder to style their hair which did make it gray like that. So while it may not look aesthetically pleasing to you, its accurate in that way. I think it would really work for a cosplay or something of the sort!
