16:28 Honey fruits, and all the other plants, are considered to be "enemy structures". So when you hit the honey fruit it counts as you dealing damage to an enemy structure, therefore you are in combat with an enemy structure, which then spawns the voidgrubs.
You can see proof of this by looking at your grasp of the undying proc. When you hit the honey fruit at 16:25, your grasp actually resets its timer. Grasp only activates/resets when you hit an enemy, so the honey fruit is clearly an enemy.

pretty much everything attackable is coded as minion, champs with walls like yorick/anivia, wards, any trap like nidalee/jhin, bouncy plants, probably bard heals aswell

I got M7 Shen back in season 7 as tank support. You've reignited my love for Shen since I've started watching you for the past (years?). I've been trying to be better and better top lane with him, and boy howdy I'll int a lot of games while I'm still trying to learn match ups. With that, I've had some shining games that let me know I'm playing the best champ in the game. My mechanics aren't as good but I try and be as analytical as you in every game.

Ive been enjoying new Stridebreaker + Wits-End + Experimental-Hexplate. Lots of attack-speed and movement-speed for dueling ability. Add Sundered-Sky + Unending-Despair to become unkillable, I've even been going Hullbreaker with all the attack-speed. Then changing Ult or item haste rune depending on team comp. But man Ingenious hunter is so strong. I get ult haste from Hexplate making this build a lil silly.
God i love that Shen is back, i havent enjoyed Shen in so long and he was my first champ I ever mained 10+ years ago. Love ur videos Petu, ur patience and love for Shen is paying off.
There is a lil lack of HP + ability-haste. So i go overgrowth + 8 Ability haste rune

2:38 before you read any of this, hindsight is 20/20. But, putting yourself in Jax's shoes, the only way he can escape is through a ward hop toward his own tower due to him not having flash to begin with and being stuck in alcove. Having vision of him in alcove does nothing for you considering he only has two "escapes" one of which (southwest opening of alcove) puts him closer to your tower and he has to do a big loop behind you which, even then while he has ghost active, allows you to cut him off without needing your E. Warding the bush closer to his tower was the best move considering his options and would still give you partial vision of alcove! Also wouldn't get your AA canceled due to vision loss. The lead that would be gained by a change of ward placing along with the wave state in this specific instance would be massive, force him to Hashinshin TP to break the freeze, AND Ekko is right there ready to f#@k his booty bc he's summoner-less and without a ward. (in a perfect world of course :)) Also this idea can be applied on both sides and against many champs with a good range gap closer they can use to escape.
I honestly think u should add heartsteel to the ingenios hunter setup. Ive been trying rushing heartsteel into easy matchups, and the shields are insane
This only works in low elo games. In high elo byuing hearthsteel when you have lead is throwing that lead away and when you are behind you have no way of coming back into the game. This item is expensive, give horrible stats and provokes to play in wrong manner (playing for the stacks). It does not help with waveclear in any way and if you go HS -> titanic -> sundered you have 0 resistances until 4th item. I found that going Titanic -> sundered/riftmaker -> unending -> Spirit works amazing and makes shen really strong in 1v1

5vs5? sundered is godd item due to passive.
Do you want to be bruiser but too hard to use to sundered passive? (your rivals may have good mobility) riftmaker or ıceborn good option.
1vs1? riftmaker or ıceborn good option.
slow and armor? ıceborn
1vs1 and long fight? riftmaker due to passive
both bruiser and support? riftmaker because your ulti scale with ap and hp.

The damage over time keeps you in combat when walking away from towers, i think all the weird interactions with things like wards, honey fruit, and pets were fixed.
16:45 I think they spawn again because the dot of the void grubs keep you in combat with the structures for longer and after the dot expires the duration of the "in combat status" starts running out so during that time even if yoi already ran away from the turret you can spawn another wave of void grubs.
No that true. The burn damage on the turret still goes for sometime after you walk away so the grub still spawn one more time
@@Blu_Moon_Owl The burn lasts for like 5 seconds I think while the respawn timer is 15 seconds. He attacked the turret for 4 seconds in this scenario and then walked away, the dot alone wouldnt not have lasted long enough to trigger a new spawn

yes its this. the tooltip even says it spawns them when in combat, nothing to do with damaging the tower. they will spawn even if a tower shoots you and you don't hit it, since that puts you in combat with the tower

you can attack those inhibitors from an insanely big range, im not sure which side that is blue or red, but the inhibs on the bottom side dont let u do that

Top side inhib in mid has been bugged for ages. You always have longer range on it than you should.

That inbibitor in particular has a larger hitbox, no other inhibs in the game do. Not on blue team or in aram

About the Grubs, my guess is that the plants register as structures, and since you can damage them, they classify as enemy structures... question mark? It's all I could've come up with from experience, but I haven't played a lot this season.
So ignite telegraphs intentions and should be used in a true blue checkmate scenario is what I'm getting?

I like playing shen but i usually play very aggro trying to fight enemy laner and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt i want to ask is that very aggro gameplay viable and do you have any tips for playing vs tham khench? Because i get that matchup often and lose.

Increased auto attack range on mid inhibitor is because of high ground/low ground league mechanics. It is a known bug.
This is so broken, I can't imagine that combo with unending dispair, you would be an absolute unit.

its the mid inib hitbox at front, its bugged so it seems u had more aa range, go try it on custom
The honeyfruit spawning Hunger of the void obviously indicate that the honey fruit is classified inside the game logic as an ENEMY structure and when you're in fight with enemys structures you spawn then... obviosly spaghetti code
I'm also think that your sword near the enemy tower makes the game thinks that you still in combat with an enemy structure
The aa range is bugged on the red inhibitors is bigger than on blue side it is a very old bug
